P1 Everyone can act good. Whether or not they act good when nobody is watching, is what really defines the person. If the person knows they will never get caught, and could do whatever they want, they will always choose something evil. Being good is an act. Being evil is living with no worries, and being yourself. Evil lies within everyone. Evil within people, can be proved by Attila the Hun, and his rise to power; Animal testing, and the testing involved; and the Lakki Marwat, Pakistan bombing, and the fatalities from the results.

The first example that proves people are evil, is Attila the Hun. Attila the Hun was born in 406 AD, and died 453 AD. Attila the Hun was the leader of the Hunnic empire ruling from 434 AD to 453 AD.

Recently, a girl went missing and was found dead. The King of Mexico, had her killed to protect his awful secrets and to remain in power. Too many people are killed by powerful people. Most times, it’s the King protecting his power and getting rid of any threat. The truth takes a while to come out, but eventually it does and the person is looked at differently and considered evil. Other times, powerful people fight and send soldiers to war or battle. Many people die to protect their side, even if they don’t believe in what they’re fighting for. Presently, there is a war in Afghanistan. Around 1,800 US Soldiers died in the Afghanistan war so far. Suicides happen often in the United States today. Too many of the suicides, are because of bullying and fighting. The bullying done to the person, gets stuck in their mind and mentally tortures them. After a while, they can’t take it anymore and take their life. Attila the Hun tortured many until they …show more content…
Every year, 100 million animals die during animal testing. Documentary of these animal testings, are very poor, but there are signs of old animal testings in the 19th century. In the United States, 26 million animals are tested. These small animals include, mice, rats, birds, monkeys, fish, guinea pigs, hamsters, dogs, and cats. During animal testing, small animals are identified and tested. Scientists snip the tail of the animal, and notch the ear to identify them. There are many different tests the small animals are given. The small animals can be tested in behavioral, healing, surgical, deprivation, and genetic experiments. In behavioral experiments, animals can be electrically shocked or forced to swim. In healing experiments, animals can be cut or hurt to study its recovery, and in surgical experiments, animals are used to practice surgical operations. In deprivation experiments, animals go without food and water to see how long they can last. In genetic experiments, scientists add or subtract genes from an animal to study their changes. These experiments happen all over the world, and are mainly performed in government laboratories, private facilities, university laboratories, and nonprofit facilities. The experiments take place, to model for depression, cancer, and other diseases. The worst tests, are the toxicity tests. During toxicity tests, medicine is given to animals by methods of
It is a very arguable subject on whether or not people are born with good intentions, and therefore taught by others the ‘evil’ side of their personality. Whether it is the absence of ethical conduct in human nature, or just the way one perceives a situation, evil seems to be prominent in our everyday lives. Humans seem to have a moral code that follows them with every decision they make, yet despite the laws of morality and society, people of this world still seem to behave inhumanely because of the act of self-preservation, human interest, and who exactly the authority figure is at the time.
Naturally, there is good and evil in every person. However, it is often difficult to see the
Evil is greatly demonstrated in the book A Long Way Gone through Ishmael having it all
William Faulkner is one of the best American authors of the early Twentieth Century. Born on September 25, 1897, in New Albany, Mississippi, Faulkner enjoys his younger years painting, reading and writing. Faulkner does not graduate from high school because school is not appealing to him. Instead, Faulkner invests his time as a carpenter, soldier, farmer, politician, businessman, lawyer, and an author. Out of his job accomplishments, Faulkner gravitates to writing. When Faulkner attended the University of Mississippi, he wrote short poetry for the Times-Picayune and The Double Dealer. It is during this time that Faulkner enhances his writing ability. Once Faulkner began to write novels, it became his passion. Faulkner publishes his first collection of poetry, The Marble Faun in 1924 (Faulkner). Faulkner’s novels are challenging to read, but not exempt from
People are always getting into situations that have two possible ways to go. That person can choose the right thing to do or the worse. There have been numerous amounts of people asking the question “what is good and evil?” Many have tried conducting experiments to try and find the roots of what makes people good/evil? Evil acts and evil itself can be shown through the social, economic, and mental environment.
Participants would be provided with a consent for them to participate, and this form would indicate a description of the research. After obtaining the consent form, both caregiver and participants would be informed that the surveys are anonymous. During the completion of the surveys, the participants will be instructed to complete the entire survey with accurate information. In addition, I would inform the participants that they will not be time, and the surveys can be discontinued at any time.
Attila the Hun was born in the year 400 and died in the year 453. He began to rule the Huns in the year 434. He ruled with his brother, Bleda, until year 445. That was the year Attila killed Bleda. So, Attila ruled from the year 445 to year 453, the year he died, by himself. Him and his brother came to power and succeeded the previous ruler, Rua. Rua was also known as Attila and Bleda’s uncle.
Every year 100 million mice, 241,000 bunnies, 125,000 monkeys, 75,000 dogs, and 22,000 cats are killed from animal testing, according to
Immigration has always and will always play an important role in America’s history, along with the United States having the most open immigration policy in the world to this date. American history began with flocks of immigrants competing for lands to start a life, bringing over their vast traditions and values. Some brought nothing but determination. It’s disgusting to see our congress and lawmakers make these higher-end laws to keep foreigners out, yet our country is built off immigrants. Since the 19th century, America has been the leading destination unlike no other for immigrants to reside. No other country has such a wide range of races and population like America. Diversity is indeed, what makes this country so unique. America has always
Other animals that are typically used in experiments are rats and mice. Doctors find these species very accommodating when they study different genetic experiments. The mice reproduce very quickly; thus the doctors can view the experiment of genes over several
What is considered evil depends upon each individual’s view of morality, which constantly changes through the course of that person’s life. Roy Perrett’s “Evil and Human Nature” explains this by elaborating on the customary interpretation of moral evil. This evil, caused by an intentional bad action or harm, opposes another type of evil, natural evil, which occurs without
Imagine a life locked away in a cage with no form of control on your existence. It’s cold, dark, and you are scared. You don’t have a choice of what you eat, where you live, or how you are treated. You are unsure if it is day or night or what will happen to you next. You are locked away in a prison cell and you committed no crime. This is the life of a laboratory animal. Animal testing is the use of animals for scientific research purposes and experiments. It can be used for the findings of cures and medicines to testing new drugs, to understanding the behavioral psychology of the animals themselves. “Around fifty to one hundred million vertebrate animals, ranging from fish to primates, are used in experiments each year” (Lloyd). There are
Evil is in the eye of the beholder. Just like how evil is possible in places or people even when they seem incapable to do so. The short story “ The Possibility of evil” by Shiley Jackson is about a woman struggling to find a sense of belonging and value in a growing and changing town. Shirley Jackson asserts that while people strive to be good they are prone to have a misconception on what is right and wrong or behave in evil ways when feeling vulnerable and unvalued which perpetrates a cycle of evil.
Being good or doing good things leads to many things, but in order to give a clearer definition, one must understand what it is that these good actions created. Once one understands this, then the individual can clearly see the logic behind what some would consider an evil action. Over time, humankind has strived to become what they believed to be holy pure or good. This attempt at being what is virtuous has given birth to a set code of conduct or thoughts that are now commonly seen as the right thing. This code of conduct was based upon morals, which are any given individuals thoughts and believes on what is acceptable as good and evil. Due to the fact that mankind also strives to be accepted by there peers, a common set of morals was established and agreed upon by any specific generation of people to be the good thing. Understanding and knowing these the morals of these given times in history will be necessary to understanding how to define evil.
There are three main reasons why animals are used in experiments are research on disease, behavior, and education. Research of how the cells function and how disease works. What causes the disease? What can prevent those diseases and how to cure them? Research’s test drugs, chemicals, or products to determine safety and effectiveness.
