Improvement – An accomplishment with Evergreen
Being a student in Evergreen Valley College for three semesters, I have really improved my knowledge as well as my English. I went halfway through my college road. I have appreciated much of the process in which I have journeyed over the last few years. The academic success center is on of my favorite resources to utilize on campus. I found that I if you need tutoring or just need somebody to talk to about your academic endeavours the academic success center is the best place to go. The academic coaches are dedicated to working with each student one-on-one to help them learn better study habits, learn effectively, and improve themselves academically. My first visit to the Academic Success Center was when I first came to Texas A&M University for school. Throughout my visits there the coaches have helped me to identify my weakness and my strengths. As a student I plan to make use of the Academic Achievement Program by getting academic guidance during both my undergraduate and graduate career. Coming from a low-income Hispanic home as a first generation student has been quite difficult. Such difficulty was due to the lack of guidance. Whether it pertained to how to pay for college or simply what courses to take in order to be eligible from college admittance the lack of guidance was one of the biggest obstacles I had to surpass to make it to where I am today, at UCLA.
