Today, we have gathered to say our last goodbyes and pay our respects to a one of a kind woman, named Tessie Hutchinson. Tessie died from such a dreadful accident that none of us should be proud of. I know she would have want us all to end the Lottery and be affectionate to one another like she treated you guys. She has inspired all of us to make this town a better place for everybody and treat people with respect and kindness. We all should be grateful that Tessie rubbed off all of her incredible traits on us to make us better people inside and out. In her lifetime she has created legacies beyond her own capability. Nobody could ever replace the kind hearted women, who cared and put a smile on every single soul in this town. Tessie Hutchinson, caring about everybody in this town, was

The term "death" refers to someone who is dying or had been killed, basically someone who is at the end of their life. But, to Miss Emily, "death" has a different meaning. "Death" to Miss Emily is when someone is still living their life, even though they are skeletons. Miss Emily keeps dead bodies because she does not ever see death for what it is. She does not think they are dead. In "A Rose for Emily", the theme of control is shown through Emily's interaction with her father in her youth, as well as in Emily's controlling of death.

Emily Grierson is to be tried as guilty for the murder of Homer Barron. Witnesses have given the readers sufficient accounts of Miss Emily’s behavior to cause belief in her committing murder of the first degree. “First degree murder is found when the defendant intends to kill and does so with premeditation and deliberation” (Criminal Law Murder Model). The victim, having been found locked away in the house of Miss Emily (327), is the basis of prosecution for the accused. Emily Grierson will be found guilty of murder because she premeditated her crime, was psychologically unstable, and attempted to conceal her crime.
To my beautiful wife Hallie Baxter, you have saved my life by giving me purpose and perspective. When I think back about the time I was sitting at that bus stop bench in japan, and you messaged me that day. I didn’t know what to say at first, but as time passed and our love grew our wedding day finally came. I knew when I looked into your eyes that day I found the other half of my heart. Never in my life have I gazed upon someone so kind, strong, beautiful or smart. You have stuck beside me through thick and thin. Without you I would have never laid eyes on our beautiful daughters face. I don’t know where I would have ended up without you. But I know I am grateful to be with you every sec of every day. What I’m trying to say is that you taught
Overall, my interests are mainly in art and music. I like to draw, primarily sketching, although I am trying to improve on my painting skills. I also like to play the piano and clarinet. Last year, I started teaching myself guitar but I'm not that good. I don't play any sports except the one time I did track and field in seventh grade because of a deal with a friend.
Amidst the carnage below deck, during the peak of The Battle of Trafalgar, the untamed cries of agony, things and people who could inflict as well as absorb it, had been ceaseless. Between what few seconds there were between cannon-fire, the roar of screaming men, whether they be barking orders or yelling through their wounds, were always there. That cursed Napoleon had planned poorly and the British were hell-bent on homicide. Nothing about that day struck him as battle-like; it had been total, one-sided annihilation. Eutropio could remember, during one of the even rarer moments when cannon-fire momentarily quietened and the screams turned to the final wheezes of the dying, the sound of laughter coming from the vessels across the sea.
"A Rose for Emily" is a wonderful short story written by William Faulkner. It begins with at the end of Miss Emily’s life and told from an unknown person who most probably would be the voice of the town. Emily Grierson is a protagonist in this story and the life of her used as an allegory about the changes of a South town in Jefferson after the civil war, early 1900's. Beginning from the title, William Faulkner uses symbolism such as house, Miss Emily as a “monument “, her hair, Homer Barron, and even Emily’s “rose” to expresses the passing of time and the changes. The central theme of the story is decay in the town, the house, and in Miss Emily herself. It shows the way in which we all grow old and decay and there is nothing permanent
Emily Elizabeth Dickinson was born December 10, 1830, into an influential family in Amherst, Massachusetts. Her father helped found Amherst College, where Emily later attended between 1840 and 1846. She never married and died in the house where she was born on May 15, 1886.
From this story, I have learned not to ever take things for granted. All Alice wanted was to have a solid relationship with her mother and she never could have that. Whenever I become mad at my mom I will think of Alice who would do anything to have a relationship like mine with my mom. As a child, Alice made a speech about elephants and made sure it was perfected so her mother would be proud of her. She worked on it every second she got just as a chance to impress her mother. When Alice’s mother enters the gym Alice says, “Suddenly, my mind went blank. I could not remember a single word; I couldn’t find the familiar landmark of the next sentence. My breathing became the heartbeat of the world. I had practiced in this presentation

In the story “A Rose for Emily” we look into the depths of the demented mind of Miss Emily Grierson. Born and raised during the mid-1800’s in the fictional city of Jefferson, Mississippi in the fictional county of Yoknapatawha. The story begins in its present time of approximately 1934 A.D. at her funeral and courses back through her life to the many points of tragedy she endured.
The subject of death, including her own was a very prevalent theme in Emily Dickinson’s poems and letters. Some may find her preoccupation with death morbid, but this was not unusual for her time period. The mindset during Ms. Dickinson’s time was that of being prepared to die, in the 19th century people died of illness and accidents at an alarming rate, not to mention the Civil War had a high number of casualties, she also lived 15 years of her youth next to a cemetery. Dickinson’s view on death was never one of something to be feared she almost romanized death, in her poem “Because I Could not Stop for Death”, she actually personifies death while narrating from beyond the grave. In the first stanza she states “I could not stop for
