Ethiopia
It stands as one of the oldest nations of the world, dating back to 1000 BC when the Queen of Sheba visited King Solomon. Ethiopia was a nation with promise, a nation with riches and the greatest Ivory market as far as the eye can see. So one would assume that Ethiopia is the place to live. Well if you have been to Ethiopia you would see this is not the case. Ethiopia is a povershed country where people are fighting to live everyday. There economy is nearly in ruins and there main export, is almost stolen from them. But the promise that Ethiopia had when the Queen of Sheba visited King Solomon is still there. But in order to restore Ethiopia to its previous glory, we need your help. We need that $50 million to give life

Trade and transport contribute 14% of GDP. In spite of recent achievements in economic growth, poverty remains a problem.
Climate
The current climatic trends have caused food availability to be very short countrywide. The lack of rain experienced in many areas has caused serious food shortage in several parts of the country. The impact of the rain on three important sources of food has particularly been severe.
• The belg and Meher crops in a number of areas did not grow
• Early maturing non-Belg crops, which are important sources of food before the Meher Harvest and the Meher rain also failed
• Livestock condition in some of the pastoral areas has been affected incredibly
The severe drought in Ethiopia has caused their main economic source to be hit really hard. Many farmers and their families are dying of malnutrition.
Health Problems
Ethiopia has become a country plagued with famine and disease. Many people die every day because there is no money to treat them. Ethiopia has an extremely poor health status, even compared to poorer
Before I get into my topic I have a question to ask. Does anyone in here know anything about Eritrea? Or ever heard a country named Eritrea? I’m not surprised not a lot of people in here knows Eritrea. I grew up in Saudi Arabia every time someone would ask me where I was from, I would tell them I am from Eritrea, most of them would know where it was but, the other half won’t know where it is. I would say 80% would know, but 20% of them wouldn’t know. Once I moved here and people would ask me where I was from and I would answer them but, the percentage is opposite.
Ethiopia is a country that creates image of starving. In 1980, many countries of east Africa had drought, and political unrest so people displaced from their shelter to camping, In addition when people moves to other place from their village or town, due to civil war, it is hard to produce crops or grain for food. Therefore those all causes refuges who lives in camps specifically in Ethiopia in 1980. During that time Ethiopia asked aid for the United Nations so the united nation were showing to the world about Ethiopian famine so that it could get assistance from the world. European countries and America assisted to Ethiopia to receive food, medicine, and other material. While Ethiopian economic is growing fast in the world by 10.3 per year
There is still a shortage of food in these areas that were heavily

Ethiopia is definitely on the list to be helped. Ethiopia is one of the world’s poorest countries. There are millions of people in Ethiopia who need help. There is an estimated 14.3 million people at risk . There should not be millions of people that need humanitarian assistance, especially there being millions in just one country. Everyone deserves a helping hand especially helpless women and children. There should not be any hesitation to lend a hand in a country where millions of people are orphans. According to Dagne, relief organizations have labeled the condition in Ethiopia as famine
On the vast continent of Africa, there are fifty-three countries; of these only six are not located below the Sahara Desert. This leaves the Sub-Saharan region of Africa to encompass a total of forty-seven countries. Many of these countries south of the Sahara have been in state failure, either partial or complete collapse of state authority. This has led to an inability to
Imagine, if you will, a barren world of shrieking hyenas, and swaying savanna. A world of guns and a great fear of getting killed. Where many have died of starvation and lions. Sadly, these are the conditions in Africa that the people there have to live with. Due to the war of Sudan, Eritrea and Ethiopia, many have been left refugees, or survivors of war, and they are starving in their village.
In the 1990’s cereals and grain were popular in Africa, with over 60 percent of the land used for these crops (ita 2004). From the 1930’s to the 1990’s Africa saw a reduction of 13 percent in agriculture’s share (ita 2004). During the 1970’s and 1980’s, there was a period of drought that affected both the crops and native plant in the area (Boffa Dixon Garrity 2012), which may have contributed to the decline of agriculture’s share. Also, in 1992 the production of corn fell from 10 million to 3 million tons, due to the drought (ita 2004).
Environmental factors are a factor that affect living and nonliving organisms and have participated in Ethiopia’s problem in food deficiency and food insecurity. A large environmental factor that can affect food deficiency and food insecurity is natural hazards and disasters. These can include droughts and floods which can upset agricultural production. For example, grain production and stocks are very low and droughts have hit harvests in grain-producing areas around the world. A more specific example for Ethiopia is that because of Ethiopia’s seasonal rainfall from mid-June to mid-September, soil erosion and
There has been many significant events of the 20th century that helped shaped what Ethiopia is today. Barack Obama once said “The future must not belong to those who bully women. It must be shaped by girls who go to school and those who stand for a world where our daughters can live their dreams just like our sons.” This message is not only relevant in the United States. In fact, it has even stronger meaning in Africa. In Sub-Saharan Africa, more than 28 million girls are out of school (Camfed). It is important to raise awareness of the lack of education for girls in Africa because educated women are healthier, educated women can raise a country’s gross domestic product, and educated women can advocate for themselves.
Over the last 50 years, the world has struggled to maintain an economic balance and stability, while flourishing countries try to maintain a steady income to support its people and relations with other countries. Therefore, when a continent like Africa fails to maintain a stable government and economy, super powers such as America decide to intervene with its relations. Africa has great potential to become another pillar of the world’s economic structure with its mass amounts of uncultivated land. Unfortunately, corruption and irresponsible governments hinder that progress. Foreign aid while helpful should be limited to a yearly amount because it allows the government to repudiate responsibility and gives room for corruption; it creates a

A great variety of animal life ranging from elephants, rhinoceros, giraffes, and even crocodiles can also be found in this African country (Microsoft 1).
The first, most important problem in the sustaining food is a food crisis and world hunger, because prices are rising every year and problems for farmers and everyone. There are many farmers who operate in a globalized world. In their efforts, to contribute more to sustain the food, they also go through several challenges to secure the future of their farms and living. Farmers are having many problems due to global warming, flood disaster or no rain at all. Because of those natural disasters farmers are having a grueling time growing foods like, grains, maize, and other vegetables. In the result, this kind of problems
