“Cameras in Special Education Classrooms a Complex Issue” has stemmed a controversial debate across the nation. Terrence Rideau received unexplained injuries while attending a middle school in Texas. Terrence is now 21 years old and is diagnosed with severe cognitive and physical disabilities. Terrence’s mom felt the need to lobby for cameras in special education classrooms. Currently, her effort has been successful and Texas is the first state to pass the law to have cameras installed in self- contained classrooms for each parents’ request. Proponents for the effect of this law argue for students’ safety while opponents against the law argue feature the cost of the cameras and other students’ privacy. It was unethical for school officials to report that they did not know how the student sustained injuries. It seems that a thorough investigation was not done to decipher what happened in the student’s classroom. It is against the law for any teacher to inflict any form of injuries to students. School officials are held accountable for each student who is placed into their care. Therefore, it was an irresponsible action against the school system.

Secular leadership is further enhanced by spiritual leadership. For example, secular leadership will require leaders to treat all students fairly. Moreover, spiritual leadership calls for leaders “to not pervert justice, not to show partiality or favoritism to the great” (Leviticus 19:15). So, school administrators are required show integrity and be honest in decision making. Integrity allow administrators to conduct themselves with honor. Also, administrators show fairness by being impartial and honest in their decisions
