Introduction
A distributed system is a system with a model which is comprised of many components that are networked by use of computers to enable communication and coordination of passage of messages between the components in order to achieve a certain goal. The goal maybe a large computational problem. Coordination of the components comes as a result of different systems communicating to achieve one goal thus a coordinating mechanism is required. For this paper a deeper analysis on the World Wide Web which is a network application is done.
World Wide Web
The innovators of the World Wide Web initially envisioned it as a global hyperlinked information system. The web evolved to become an open system which is usually extended and

Documents can however be expressed further by use of scripting languages like HTML and XML. To process the documents the web was enhanced to support user interaction through use of Common Gateway Interface (CGI) which defines the standard through which a web server executes a program using data from the client (Cole, Richard, Vishkin and Uzi, 1986). The data is gotten from the client as input using the browser and is mostly through use of a HTML form. The data from the client will specify which program or script is going to be executed at the web server. Figure 1 above shows the execution of a program on the server side after a request is sent by the client. The request contains inputs from the user and parameters that specify how the program will process the input. After execution the server then sends a response to the user. To help understand this further, a client accesses an online calculator using the URL of the online calculator. The server then sends a document which consists of the form that the user is supposed to fill in order to do various computations. The user fills the fields and select which kinds of computations he or she want s to do and submits to the server. The server will use the input the input from the client to do the computation and then return a result. No computation is done on the client’s computer. The client only sends requests to the server and the server does all
The first versions of WWW ((what most people call “The Web”))) provide means for people around the world to exchange information between, to work together, to communicate, and to share documentation more efficiently. Tim Berners-Lee wrote the first browser (called WWW browser) and Web server in March 1991, allowing hypertext documents to be stored, fetched, and viewed. The Web can be seen as a tremendous document store where these documents (web pages) can be fetched by typing their address into a web browser. To do that, two im- portant techniques have been developed. First, a language called Hypertext Markup Languag (HTML) tells the computers how to display documents which contain texts, photos, sounds, visuals (video), and animation, interactive

Have you ever seen the television show on NBC Dateline To Catch a Predator? Well if you haven’t, Chris Hansen, the host of the show, has a set up to catch predators online who are trying to meet younger children and arrest predators for trying to seduce young children. This is just one case of why parents are becoming more worried for their children to be using the Internet. Parents strive to find ways to keep their children safe while using the Internet and there are several ways you can do that right at home by protecting your children, having the computer in a high traffic place, and blocking websites.
Microsoft’s internet information services (IIS) is one such solution. This webs server is designed to run on Windows server platforms. Consequently, it integrates well with Microsoft’s online applications. It features an intuitive graphical user interface that simplifies its installation and use. However, the costs of installing new versions of this web server are high. In addition, its restriction to the Microsoft server OS platform inhibits system flexibility. An alternative to IIS is the Apache web server. This is an open sourced application that can be implemented on a wide variety of operating system platforms. Apache’s integration of a pearl and PHP engine facilitates easy integration with the application programming interface (Gunther, 2006). In addition, this web server is available for free. This makes it a cost effective alternative. Further, Apache’s event-driven architecture enables it to perform ideally even under heavy loads. However, Apache usage involves a relatively strenuous learning curve. The software’s complexity may present an obstacle to its use by new users. Another web server that can be adopted for use in this project is Nginx. This server is easy to use as well as stable. It is also based on an event driven architecture. This architecture makes it an efficient user of system resources even under heavy loads (Tanenbaum, 2001). Nginx’s ease of installation, configuration, and use make it a viable alternative for adoption in

The web browser application is found on these digital devices, and is used as the main application to garner information on the Internet. The web browser can be viewed as a window looking out into the vast space of the Internet which allows a user to view the enormous encyclopedia that has been created by the human race.
The internet has revolutionized the modern world like no other invention has before, except perhaps, electricity. The internet allows sharing and collaboration to take place between people on opposite sides of the globe. Vinton G. Cerf, often called the “Father of the Internet”, admits that when the original idea of an “intranet” was in its infancy, there was no possible way to imagine all of the ways we would come to use it (NDTV, 2013).
The data is then sent back through the system to the original user. The information that is on the data coming back could have came from a wide array of sources such as books, financial markets, embedded chips or even made up by someone trying to fool the user. The History? The Internet is first
This research report was to understand the background of the software architecture and how it interrelates with the architecture of web browser. Having a working reference that could be used for the project will help both during maintenance and design time.
Perhaps one of the greatest inventions of out time is the Internet. Without a doubt, the net has had a profound effect on almost every aspect of our lives. The formation of the Internet has changed the way we do business, communicate, entertain, retrieve information, and even educate ourselves. Nevertheless, the Internet might have never materialized if it had not been for some innovated thinkers from the Advanced Research Project Agency, who created "ARPANET." In collaboration with several educational and research institutions, the agency created the packet-switching technologies that form the basis of the Internet today.
The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use the standard Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP) to serve billions of users worldwide. It is a network of networks that consists of millions of private, public, academic, business, and government networks, of local to global scope, that are linked by a broad array of electronic, wireless and optical networking technologies. The Internet carries a vast range of information resources and services, such as the inter-linked hypertext documents of the World Wide Web (WWW) and the infrastructure to support electronic mail.
The Internet - The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly The internet is a computer based global information system. It is composed of many interconnected computer networks. Each network may link thousands of computers enabling them to share information. The internet has brought a transformation in many aspects of life.
An internetwork is a collection of individual internet networks that are connected by mediating internet devices and the whole together functions a large network whilst each still maintains their own individual internet component.
Communication--it is a fundamental part of our everyday lives. It characterizes who we are, what we do, and how we relate to others in society. It is a very powerful tool that holds many different uses for our basic needs and survival. At a very simplistic level, it is key in attaining our very basic needs for survival. In that respect, it is key in achieving all needs in Maslows hierarchy. Its uses and possibilities endless.
The very fundamental purpose of Internet is to provide an open information framework with few access barriers to information. There are several potential risks associated with the implementation of Internet in the organization. So managers should pay attention to it and avoid it.
