A lot of the qualities and strengths I have gained over the years have spawned in combination of being a mother and a professional woman. Professionally, I’ve learned that I am assertive in which I’ll know how to voice any concerns or questions I have during the learning process of this program. I feel this quality will also allow me not to be timid or intimated by instructors or veteran teachers and allow me to be confident in what I have learned. As a mother, I’ve learned how to be patient. I understand that I am stepping into a new career with high expectations and a lot at stake. With that being said, this program may be overwhelming at first, but if I am patient with myself and this program, things will not be as bad as it seemed at
Ashley Huerta Osores is a successful pharmacist, who focused her career on community service. Her journey began in the City of Baltimore, where she attended both undergraduate and professional school. Within her community, she was dedicated to serving the underprivileged. For years, she immersed herself in aiding the neighborhood. Additionally, Osores was enrolled in a duel degree program, earning the Doctor in Pharmacy (PharmD) and Masters in Public Health (MPH) degree. For her, becoming a pharmacist was not enough. I am interested in pursuing nursing in college because I love helping and caring for others. Nursing is very hands-on directly helping people in need. I want to see the people I help and I think nursing is a very rewarding career that will fulfill the caring part of me. I think any of the required classes for nursing at Florida Southern College could be the hardest for me. It all depends on how hard I am willing to work and my ability to time manage while having fun and maintaining good grades.
Throughout my years in Webb City High School, my favorite courses in high school would have to be biology with Mrs. Hill. Not only is she a great teacher but she also makes learning about life, cells, plants, human life, and much more very interesting and much more enjoyable. In high school, I was also part of the nursing program at the Carthage Technical Center. The teachers are very good at giving us hands on activity and one on one teaching.
During my winter break of freshman and sophomore year as a Pre-nursing major, I returned home with the welcoming of my fellow band members. I am currently in a Oaxacen Philharmonic Band that is formed by young children and adults; however, I am not always presented with the opportunity to play with them all year long. The time that I have spent with the band, before moving away to college, has taught me and allowed me to learn how to interact with children as young as five years old. My biggest enjoyment in life is to spending time and bonding with children. The innocence of children and their charisma has brought me to the idea of one day working with them in my career.
Growing up, I often cared for my younger siblings while our mother was busy working a full time job. I acknowledged my passion for lending a hand. This allowed me to experience what it is like to care for an individual at a very young age. This was my calling, which is why I decided to enroll in a high school that would give me opportunities to explore a career where I helped others in the medical field. I am passionate about health care and my passion can be seen through the number of college health classes I have committed to.

After graduating from Elk City High School I plan to go to the Southwestern Community College on the Sayre campus. I would like to go to school for nursing and become a registered nurse. I plan to go to SWOSU for four years to achieve the goals I have set for myself. I have always had an interest in the medical field, even as a child. Helping others has always been something I love to do. I feel going to college and becoming a nurse would allow to help a great deal of people and hopefully touch many others. After graduating College I plan to use me degree and get a job in the nursing field. I plan to start my life and support myself and become a productive member of society. I personally feel I should be considered for this scholarship because
As a high school honor student graduating in June after just six semesters, I’m eager to begin pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, along with a complementary major in Spanish. While a Registered Nurse is able to apply their skills in many settings, at this point I hope to serve either in an Emergency Room, in Pediatrics, or in a Spanish Speaking foreign mission field. In addition to my scholastic and athletic achievements, I’ve had experience working with children and adults as a short-term missionary, a babysitter, and a volunteer Counselor in camp settings. I’m anxious to discover how this career path will benefit my life and those that I come in contact with.
The beauty industry in Venezuela is both empowering and disempowering. I believe it is empowering because many women want to be Miss Venezuela and want to go out and flaunt confidence in order to achieve this. People are very much into it. These women are finding themselves in their beauty. I also believe disempowering because; women are being kicked out of the pageants if someone comes along and is viewed as more appealing. I believe it is also disempowering due to the lack of filters and being blunt with women being overweight and needing to lose weight. To see a “smile doctor” and having surgery is telling someone they aren’t good enough naturally and have to rise up to meet expectations.
Most Dangerous Worlds in Free Sci Fi eBooks (737 Words) There are no shortage of wondrous Utopian future worlds in science-fiction novels, but it is often the more dangerous worlds that make for the most action packed stories. This is why there are no shortage of novels that are set in post apocalyptic worlds. However, some authors are particularly imaginative when it comes to creating dangerous worlds for their protagonists to brave. You don’t have to look very far to find some good examples either, as their are plenty of free sci-fi ebooks that feature some very dangerous settings.
The compassion that my family brings to the healthcare field is due to my distant great grandmother’s passion she exemplified in her work. My family has a long standing tradition in which any of the family who goes to college will normally go for a medical degree of some sort. I have watched all of my cousins grow up, go to college, and pursue medical degrees and I chose the same route. When I was thinking of what to major in I was stuck, I was stuck between nursing or marine biology. I could not decide until my mom told me the story of my distant relative
When I was growing up I was sure of three things: I had a family who loved me, I loved to read and when I grew up, I wanted to be a pediatrician. My favorite toy to play with as a child was my doctor's kit. I loved using my plastic stethoscope, taking temperatures and wrapping up the body parts of my family members, but I did not have any friends who were as passionate about medicine as I was. The first time I heard of a little girl who wanted to be a doctor as much as I did was when I read the Judy Moody book series. Just reading about a girl who aspired to be like Elizabeth Blackwell was inspiring to me.
During my time in the health field I would like to accomplish coming out of college with a bachelors degree in nursing. Something that motivates me in studying nursing is while growing up I saw how bad my care givers struggled because they did not finish college and had to settle with less because in today's time you have to have at-least 2-4 years of college to get a decent job and watching them settle for less is something I don't want to do. One day after dinner my dad was just walking through the house and just fell out on the floor and started seizing, everyone was freaking out about it but I remembered talking about in my introduction to healthcare class that when someone is having a seizure you should always make sure there is nothing
