North Korea has been presenting themselves to the world for decades as a picture perfect country, while the citizens live under a completely different rule. Kim Jong-Un, and the dictators before him, have created a country that is filled with oppression and persecution due to belief differences or criticism of the regime. The regime uses fear and manipulation to control their people. The majority of North Koreans no longer accept the ideas in which the Kim dynasty has instilled in them for generations, despite years of manipulation caused by the Kim dynasty. The Kim dynasty withheld freedom and power from the people of North Korea for generations.
The founder of North Korea, first president Kim Il Sung, created the country’s policy of juche or “self-reliance,” which has essentially cut off North Korea economically and diplomatically from the rest of the world even in times of great need such as famines. This is generally how the start of
The government structure of North Korea has its existence in one man, Kim Jong Un. It existed in his father, Kim Jong Il, before him, and in his grandfather, Kim Il-sung, before him. North Korea has one of the few successful hereditary dictatorships based on a personalistic regime where the leaders are worshipped as almost a deity (after Kim Il-sung’s death he was made “eternal president”) creating a dynastic transfer of power (Aoki, 2012). In China the one party of the Chinese Communist Party will rule as an Authoritarian body over the nation, but in North Korea the sole power rest dangerously in the arms of one person. Some of the reason for this dissimilarity between the two government structures lies in the country’s differing political cultures.
Outside of North Korea many saw Kim Jong-il as being an improper leader, but those inside and unaware of his true nature, saw him as a moral leader who cared for his people and tried to do anything and everything for them. Although Kim Jong-il is a terrible leader as he mismanaged his nation and ignored his people, through dynamic leadership he was able to manipulate his people by encouraging loyalty and support for the regime, posing as a symbol of not only the government, but also North Korea as a whole, and by uniting people to a common idea or goal. Kim Jong-il, though known to be secretive, was also known to be a weak and horrible leader as he had only worsened the conditions of his nation instead of trying to slowly improve it. Before
The current government that North Korea has in place in its country is a communist state. Communism can be defined as advocating class war and leading to a society in which all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs. North Korea’s major political party is the Korean Workers’ Party (KWP) and has been governed by the Kim dynasty since 1946. North Korea also has minor parties such as the Chondoist Chongu Party and the Social Democratic Party (Both run by the KWP). All political parties are controlled by the “Supreme Leader” and appoints members to political positions as needed. The people of North Korea refer to whoever is leading the government as “Supreme Leader.” Currently, North Korea’s “Supreme Leader” is Kim Jong Un and he was elected, unopposed, in December 17, 2011. The biggest concern with North Korea’s government is that they do not possess any diplomatic representation in the United States, nor does it posses any diplomatic representation from the United States.
Kim Ill-sung took power of North Korea in 1948, and two years later the Korean War commenced. (Piddock, 31-32) “on June 25 [1950], soldiers from communist North Korea (known as the North Koreans People’s Army, or NKPA) had launched an invasion of their noncommunist neighbor, South Korea. South Korean troops(known as Republic of Korea, or ROK, forces) were surprised, outnumbered, and outgunned by the invaders. .. In the
Kim Jong-un is a ruthless dictator. So ruthless that he executed members of his own family. The way he executes people are inhumane as well. He has murdered people by burning them alive using a flamethrower, and once killed somebody by blasting a mortar round onto a spot on which they stood. Kim Jong-un routinely kills senior officials for what he calls “disloyalty” or “treason”.

The PDS shut down in 1995 because foreign aid was cut off expect for Pyongyang, the capital city. In rural areas, a lot of the children were born as “no-count” meaning that when they were born they weren’t counted as part of the existing society and didn’t have supplies given to them. Kim Il Sung created this “dangerous belief system” so that North Koreans would always obey him. Before Dictatorship North Korea was an independent nation, it was a colony full of Christians. Kim Il Sung noticed how Christians worshipped the Japanese ruler who ruled Korea. When North Korea declared as a country, Kim Il Sung changed the form of Christianity and he declared himself as a God so that North Korea will always praise and pray him. Christians revolted against this, so Kim Il Sung annihilated most of them because he did not want his own people suspecting him of Juche and put lots of people in concentration camps and they still reside there. (Juche Religion) Juche originated from Marxism-Leninism. Marxism-Leninism was created by Karl Marx, some of the main points in this ideology are that a communist party should be able to perform and play major roles in society. Some other beliefs in Marxism-Leninism are that modern capitalism should turn into imperialism. (Piskunov) North Korea gained inspiration from Marxism-Leninism, which is why this ideology is one of the main ideologies that Juche originated. Some other ideologies that Juche originated were Confucianism. Confucianism was developed in China by a man named Kong Qiu (Confucius). Kong Qiu travelled across the country to spread his teachings, but at that time his beliefs was not popular and some of his beliefs were how to do the right things in life. He

Proper terminology was a primary issue of the ecumenical council of the fourth and fifth century. The theologians and administrators in the early church were only concerned with two major challenges of culture and thought, and much of the writing in this period was addressed to the issues resulting from this confrontation for five centuries, Christian thinkers sought to clarify how they understood the deity of Jesus Christ. Christian Faith was gradually devised. To make an “apology” for Christianity was to make a defense of it against those who denied its truth, reasonableness, or credibility.
