It was about three days before one of the most important people of my life birthday was here. On October 1st, it would be my mom’s birthday. For the past few years, I haven't had enough money to buy my mom a gift. So, At the start of a preparing for her birthday, I didn’t really plan to do anything for her birthday. All I was going to do was buy her a present and write a card and give it to her. This time, with my younger sister’s help, I did even more.
On Thursday, My auntie and my sister invited me to come along to the mall so they could go buy my mom her presents. The place we went to was a sort of an outside mall. I thought this would be the perfect moment to buy her a special birthday gift. I had $70 in my pocket, so I had enough money to buy a charm for my mother from pandora. We walked a short distance from where we parked to the Pandora store. Whilst my sister looked for a charm, I already had the perfect charm in mind, an October Signature Heart charm. We brought the charms and headed to Rainbows. When we got there, I help my sister pick out an outfit for my mom. When she finally picked two outfits, she went to go find shoes and I went to the jewelry section and picked out a cute necklace with matching earrings and bracelet. Once we started heading back to the car, it started raining. It took us about 30 minutes to get to the car in the rain. I told them don’t tell my mom anything, it’s a surprise, then we drove home.
When I woke up the Friday morning I
Two months later it was the first day of dance masters I felt so bad that I was almost going to make my heart cry inside, and my mom knew I was feeling that inside to. She then told me I will always be here for you. I said wow that was a very heartfelt sentence. Then I said I love you mom, And gave her a hug.
Half my friends laughing, the other half following quickly behind to see what’s going on. In between hanging up the phone with my mom and making it to the bathroom with no one behind me anymore, I realized, wow I’m a spoiled brat who got handed everything and reality came and bit my butt hard. I didn’t really need that sweater. Or the necklace I had bought earlier or even those to die for shoes I was drooling over. With this new sense of maturity, I went and returned all those things I didn’t need. When I got home I walk right into my mom’s room handed her the $250 I had just got back, from all the things I “needed” so badly, and told her,” You know mom, what you said was kind of mean but thanks.” She refused to accept my mom so when she wasn’t looking I put it in her purse later that
The day I woke up to this soon to be life changing turn of events, I thought it was just going to be a normal day with my mom, not doing anything out of the ordinary or particularly special. I woke up late in the morning, like I always did on a morning in the summer time, and did nothing all day. I was just doing the usual things a twelve year old girl did in the summer: watch television, eat junk food and play on my phone. I was at my mom’s that day, but I was going to my dad’s house later that day to stay for the weekend. Mom and dad usually met up somewhere later in the day around four or five in the afternoon.
I sent her a bracelet of fire rubies on her sixteenth birthday. She always told me it was beautiful and that she wouldn’t trade it for anything. I’m glad she loved it. I would do anything to make her happy. On top of that, it cost me more than a month’s pay. Again, it was worth it. Yet, I’m told that she remembered me more for what I did the night her kitten got run over in the street. She was only six years old and I held her in my arms and wiped away her tears and told her not to cry, and that Flossy was gone for just a little while, for just long enough to get herself a new fur coat, and she would be on the foot of her bed the very next morning. She was so small and precious. She seemed to believe me and quit crying and went to sleep dreaming about her kitten coming back. When she woke up the next morning, there was Flossy on the foot of my bed in a brand-new white fur coat, just like I had said she would be. It wasn’t until a long time later that Mama told her that I had got the pet-shop owner out of bed at four in the morning and, when the man got mad about it, I told him he was either going to go down and sell him the white kitten right then or I’d break his neck. In hindsight, it may not have been the best idea, but it was totally worth it, seeing the look on her happy little
Since I didn't want to leave Maia lonely, I decided to play with her a little. It got a little bit quite so my sister, Destiny put on a song on our speaker. Then Maia looks at me as if i'm crazy and she tells me that she wants to dance. After she tells me that, she starts dancing and was just having an amazing time. Me and my sister thought that was funny and we all started to laugh. My sister let me have a round of Fortnite (squads because I suck) so she can dance with Maia. After about like a CENTURY my lovely mom had finally came back from wherever the HECK she was at. So then, my mom got a text from my uncle, the one who dropped off the baby that said that he was going to go to the movies with his wife. We were all STARVING so my mom asked what do you want to eat and Maia said Red Robbins and so we got in my moms 2016
On my 12th birthday, I had a few friends over for my birthday to hang out and eat cake and other party like things. That evening, my parents decided it was time to open my gifts they got me. The first gift I opened was a new shirt I asked for. I opened all my gifts but one. When I got to the last gift my parents brought me off
It was a cool friday evening. We had just finished scrimmaging at Fisher Field, and we were all loading onto the bus. We made our way to the school and went home. I remember calling my dad so he can come and pick me up. Once my dad came around I was thinking about what my mom made for dinner, and how much homework I had to do that night. I got home safely, and started walking towards the house until I hear my little sister coming up to the door to greet me. I found it strange, as she never does this. I greeted her back, and made my way to my room to put my bag away. I made my way back downstairs to go and eat, but I saw my mom sitting there and smiling. She told me to come over and guess what she had on her lap. I had an idea to what she
After school the bus took me home and i was waiting for my mom to take out a present or something but nope nothing. as the day went by my mom needed groceries, so
On the fourth day, we went to Chico, Old Sacramento, Capitol State Capitol and to Stanislaus. Since it was our last night in a hotel together we decided to sit down together in a circle and share what we liked. Then an hour later we went with our chaporne and they gave us an envelope. At first I was laughing because I was like I bet this was the letter I wrote in freshman year and thoughts went across the things I wrote like “I bet you’re going to have a 3.5 and be in honor classes.” Then I notice that on the bottom of the envelope my mom’s handwriting. I started tearing up because I thought it was a letter she wrote to me and it was. I opened and I started even crying even more because me and mom never say nice things to each other and that will forever be my favorite moment. Later that night I called her to thank her. The next day, we went to Merced, Fresno, M & S Ranchito Market in Mcfarland and to
On the night of October 31st, 2015 my brother and I rode with my mom to the store. We were what she called her "chicle", we always followed behind her and she literally went nowhere without us. My mom had let us have a Halloween party and as the night went on children started to go home and adults began to arrive. As adults arrived they wanted drinks and as my mom is the host she is to provide them. As we drove to the store everything was going fine, as she begins to turn into the parking lot of the store all the sudden boom, and our night just
I was driving to my good friend Alisha’s house to pick her up for her birthday. We have been best friends ever since kindergarten. Alisha had always been a very good friend to me, and vice versa. Today I wanted to make it special for her since it was her golden birthday - 16 years - on August 16th. So therefore, we were going to go to her favorite restaurant - Noodles and Company - for her birthday. I was really hoping this was going to be an amazing night, but boy was I wrong.
“Happy birthday dear Marley, happy birthday to you!” Of course, my dad just had to go all out and he announced as loud as he could in the house. “13 years ago the famous Marley Jackson was born on June 18th of 1781 and by god was it the best day!” The workers in the house all clapped after my dad's announcement.
It is April 4th. It is my 21 birthday.21 years ago I was born and got named Thea. My mom Emily, dad James, sister Maddison, and brother Liam are coming over to celebrate my birthday. There are a few things I must do before they come.
The morning sunshine seeped through the cracks between my shutters, lighting up my room. I could hear the clock ticking and the rays of sunlight bouncing off of my eyelids. I barely got any sleep last night because I was ecstatic that tomorrow was, my birthday! I jumped up out of bed, how could I have forgotten that it was my birthday? Suddenly all of my drowsiness turned it into excitement and I jumped up, throwing the red gradient quilt off of my bed. I slowly walked out of my room, making very little noise, checking to see if anyone else was awake. I peeked through the intricate staircase railings and tried to spot anyone downstairs, no one was in sight. I tiptoed down the cream coloured stairs, reached the bottom and got startled when my mom yelled, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!”, her voice bouncing off the walls of house. A grin so big spread across my face, I couldn’t believe I was turning four years old!
Woke up, got out of bed enthusiastically knowing it was Friday, and wanting my weekend to start as soon as possible. In school I met up with my friends “Hey, Luis wanna go to a party tonight?” … “I’m not sure my mom would let me, but I’ll try” I said. At the end of the day I headed home, hoping my mom would let me go to the party. I thought of bribing her in order to persuade her in letting me go. Maybe sneaking out at night if she didn’t let. But knowing how much she trusted me I knew she would approve.
