Felicia showed up right after Jensen left the next day. She had a small wagon hitched up to her horse. Jared had picked out a downstairs bedroom that was fitting for her station. They unloaded the wagon together. “You have an incredible amount of possessions.” “I’m omega and a hoarder,” Felicia said smiling at Jared. After unloading, Jared took the horse and wagon to the barn. Jensen greeted him. “So she’s here?” “Yes.” “Remember; we stand united. Felicia is the hired help. You’re my omega.” Jensen said as he grabbed the horse by the bridle. “Yes, alpha.” Jared walked back to the house. Felicia was already in the kitchen; she had all the cabinets opened taking stock of what was in the cabinets. “Shouldn’t you be unpacking?” Jared asked. …show more content…
“That’s ridiculous,” Jared said as he sat down to the right of Jensen. “It’s proper that we each sit at the head of the table.” “Ok, when we have guests we will do that however, it’s just us, alpha.” Jensen nodded. “So, have you and Felicia figured out how many people you need to hire?” Jensen asked. “Yes,” Jared said with more conviction than he felt. “Good.” Jared watched as Jensen refilled his drink. “Alpha? Can I ask you something?” Jensen took a long sip of his drink and nodded to Jared. “Why are you so nice to me. I thought you were going to hurt me?” Jared asked quietly. “First, I claimed you which makes you my responsibility. I will not leave my omega to live in squalor; soon you will go into heat, and then you’ll have pups, and they’ll deserve a better life. Hurt you? Oh, sweetheart the pain I will inflict on you will not be of beatings, it will be of emptiness. You will have all the finery you ever dreamed of, but that’s all you’ll have. You will find no warmth from me.” Jensen stood up and left the dining room. “Come in Felicia,” Jared called out. Felicia entered from the opposite door that Jensen exited from with a tray of desserts. “My lord I’m sorry I wasn’t eavesdropping on purpose, but I did over hear Lord Ackles talking, so I paused before entering. I…” “It’s ok.” Jared forced a smile. Felicia went to put a dessert plate in front of Jared but he waved
1. In the Neolithic era, about 8000 B.C., a new civilization and culture developed. The reason for this development was the change to hunting and gathering to cultivation of agriculture that permitted man to settle down permanently ending nomadic existence.
Long ago, at a small village next to Roc-A-Fella peaks, there lived three young boys. Jermaine, Nas, and Kendrick. Kendrick was a descendant of the lightning district of the village, Nas was born and raised in the fire district, and Jermaine was a simple village boy who grew crops and raised cattle. Ever since the village was established it was divided into four main groups. The fire district, the lightning district, the village folk, and the All Mighty’s. Mostly all lived in peace until one day.
“I’m sorry, brother”, she said as we entered. Hearing that made me pause, as I had never heard a term of endearment from Alexandra. Tragedy tends to make people express themselves in ways previously unthinkable. The affection didn’t last long, as she proceeded to admonish me about allowing the children to witness such a macabre event. I deflected her sniping easily enough, and was walking toward the bedroom when Jem’s voice rose in a question.
Blake and Kelsey both smiled. Neither girl knew what to say back, so they took a seat on the smaller couch and waited. For the first few minutes they all just played on their phones, and small conversations were exchanged between the two friends. Before things could get too awkward, Blake turned towards James and tried to start a conversation.
“We need you for war. We are in war with Baywynne and it’s not going good. The king wants to use you as our special weapon.”
She opened her clinched fists and grabbed a piece of bread from the table. She looked over at the window and started to smile.
He walks in the house and sat on the sofa. Sara was excited he came and wanted to introduce them to Dean and her children. They came down the stairs from oldest to youngest. Sara said, “Introduce yourselves to Uncle Luke”, but they did not need too. He said their exact names of all five of them. For he named each child they would have together based on each letter in her first name and the youngest was named after her middle name. This was the last straw on whether or not Dean took his journal.
“You’ve a gentle heart beneath your sometimes cross words and your sword-wielding,” Carlton told Audra. “Maxen and I will speak to the knights if you handle the food and music and whatever else you might want to make our people happy.” He rubbed his temples. “Meanwhile, I need a quick rest. My head… I’ll see you later, little love.”
"Pudding might not be finished yet," said Ron hopefully, leading the way toward the steps to the entrance hall.
“Sir, are you well?” Tamelin said to his commanders Jhozo approached, waving off the attentions of one of the Durpiri healers. Blood trickled from his right wrist, the crimson stain spreading through the colorful silk of his undershirt. Adenya approached looking weary but otherwise well.
Livvy walked into the kitchen. Julian was at the stove making pancakes. Ty was already sitting at the table. He looked up at her.
“I’ll miss you more, Abel.” And then, I do the unthinkable – I forego my reservations about affection and throw my arms around him and bury my face in his neck. He stiffens, not expecting this, but embraces me as well. I’ve never felt warmer but sadder, fearing that I won’t see him again, let alone touch him. I hope that if I don’t let go of him, he’ll decide to stay; then his hands no longer, and my heart tears from my body.
The sacred ridge, the summit perched high above the village had come to be their temporary home. Its exposed position offered little protection from the elements. But with Tralore's unwillingness to leave, it left Umonakalisi with few remaining options, and after hammering the last steel pole into the rocky ground, he stood back to admire his handy work. Crude, but practical. Once he'd fixed the patchwork canopy that Ami helped to stitch, it would provide ample shelter from the harsh sun and offer a modicum of protection from the approaching night.
Leaving the motel, on Highway 74, around 3:00, Marlene wanted to get home before Jerry and Andrew arrived. She smiled as she recalled the past few hours spent with her lover. Pulling into the garage, Marlene parked her Mercedes, brushed her hair, put on fresh lipstick, and rushed into the house. She was relieved to be home before her husband and father-in-law had arrived, and she went into the kitchen, made a pot of coffee, sat down at the counter, and glanced through the morning paper.
