Staphylococcus aureus is a type of bacteria. It stains Gram positive and is non-moving small round shaped or non-motile cocci. It is found in grape-like (staphylo-) clusters. is one of the five most common causes of infections after injury or surgery. It affects around 500,000 patients in American hospitals annually. It is abbreviated to “S. aureus” or “Staph aureus” in medical literature. S. aureus was discovered in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1880 by the surgeon Sir Alexander Ogston in pus from surgical abscesses. (Mandal, 2012). Escherichia coli, belongs to the family of Enterobacteriaceae. It is a gram-negative bacteria, with a rod shaped and a non spore forming motile with peritrichous flagella. If this bacteria grows to 106 it will cause an infection to a healthy human who may experience an acute, profuse, watery diarrhea. Escherichia coli can affect both human and animals. this bacteria can be transmitted through food,fomites, and water by decal or oral transmission of E.coli. This bacteria can be incubated between 6-48 hours. It is susceptible to drugs such as Bovine api-lactoferrin, Carbapenem, Fosfomycin-trometanol and Nitrofurantoin. And it is also resistant to some drugs such as Ampicillin, B-lactams, Ciprofloxacin and Nalidase acid.
