Action Research believes that "Human organizations can only be understood as whole entities" (Baskerville, 1999) and that social processes are best to be studied when change is introduced to observe the effects of these. Furthermore, It makes use of a cyclical approach in order for an initial holistic understanding of a social setting. The strengths of my advanced action research involves building on the requisite literature to proceed with the research. The annotated bibliography and the references that present the data --that is, the literature review figures very heavily in the advanced action research. The annotated bibliography represents those areas of focus for the dissertation and thereby allows the researcher the luxury of building pertinent information and more references upon that annotated bibliography. In Action Research group of research associates involves in various stages of action research like planning, action, analysis, observing each and every task that is performed. The cyclic nature of Action Research means that the requirement for activity arrangements to be adaptable. According to the Kurt Lewin 's model, the covering of activity and reflection is planned to allow changes in arrangements as the individuals learn from experience (Huxham, 1996).
For this qualitative study the researchers chose a retailer of prescription eyewear, and prescription sunglasses positioned in a busy area of Surprise. The main street was closed off due to heavy construction, however, the parking lot was full. The business was positioned in a small strip mall between a real estate office, fast food restaurant, and yogurt shop. There were many patrons of various cultures and ages. They were entering and leaving the surrounding shops including the business setting we chose for observation. There were a lot more businesses, shops, fast food restaurant in walking distance allowing us opportunities to observe people interact with each other.

Action research is a type of study that is carried out, generally within education. It is constructed by whom is carrying out the research around a specific issue or weakness that may be occurring. In most cases it is an ongoing process that the researcher will learn from and may share and contribute the knowledge that was found to others who are interested (Koshy, 2007). The idea behind this type of research is to improve practices, methods, and approaches for each individual educator’s professional development. It is a way of self-reflection, a way that can change practices and a way that can change educator’s understandings of practices (Kemmis, 2009).
The focus of my action research will be in first-time-students, students going through Intensive English curriculum in order to comply with Homeland Security criteria that international students must be English proficient before taking academic classes. I believe that we should do everything possible to ensure that they succeed and not place roadblocks in their paths.

So, the teaching of science should be effectively earned out so as to satisfy the national development goals. Science is a multifaceted subject, limitless in extent and depth, vital for science and technology, and rich in the cultural import. It offers a lot of challenges to an individual. Well-known scientist considered it is the key to success in many of the most powerful and prestigious jobs in our highly technical society. Without science, it is impossible to get into medicine, engineering, astronomers and most of the mobs requiring technical expertise. In school, however, pupils find the subject dull and difficult and dreary by many. More so, science in general is even considered by many as uninteresting or boring subject if not difficult or not applicable into their daily lives.
District 47 has the mission of educational excellence for all students. Quality education requires community participation and shares responsibility, as well as it “demands a commitment to the physical, emotional, social, and academic needs of learners.” (Crystal Lake Elementary District 47 , 2002-2017) However, English Language Learners have been underrepresented in Gifted and Talented Programs at District 47. Currently, out of 13 elementary schools in District 47, only two Elementary School have one student enrolled in a gifted and talented program called “Extended Curriculum.” One of them attends North
School principals practicing instructional leadership model plays a significant role in everyday’s life of an organization. They are usually responsible for the organizational aspects of an educational institution such as monitoring, managing, instructing, controlling, communicating which indirectly affect students’ learning. In fact, researchers have found that there was not a direct connection between the principals’ instructional leadership and students’ academic achievement (Bossert, Dwyer, Rowan, & Lee,1982; Boyan, 1988; Glasman & Heck, 1987; Larsen 1985,1987; Pitner, 1988). School principals, rather, have influence on students through the governance structure (Talbert, 1985). To be precise, they make a difference in students’ learning process by constructing school goals, placing high achievement expectations, distributing resources, supervising curriculum, monitoring student progress, promoting inclusive learning atmosphere (Heck, Larsen & Marcoulides, 1990). Of course, the quality of the performance of these activities mainly determines the success of the school.
Action Research is way of learning things with different types of means. Some learn new things by doing it (O 'Brian, 1998). It could be through collaborative inquiry, participatory research, action learning or through contextual action (O’Brian, 2001). Basically, Action Research involves group of people working towards the same goals. For example, the company X created a group of 5 people to figure out the problem the company is facing such as to figure out ways that caused poor performance. In this case, they should identify what the major problem is, take steps to gather data and information, analyze them and work together to come with the best solution. Once they come up with the plan, they use that to see if their efforts are good enough to solve the issues. In this case, management decides whether it’s successful or not. If they are unsatisfied, they can ask the group to try again (O’Brian, 2001). In Action research, the researcher and the client work together in order to meet or achieve the targeted goals (Padak, 2015). There are different stages associated with this research such as identifying questions what are the major issues that need immediate care, collecting data and information from various sources so that one can understand what the real problem is. The real problem can only be found if you do immense research, analyze all the data and information and share the results with others in the research team (Padak, 2015).
