In 1871 a constitution was signed and marked the birth of a nation called, El Salvador. Our world is made up of 195 countries and El Salvador is one of them with different style government, leaders, military and how they treat women El Salvador’s leader, government, military and the treatment of women. It is a beautiful and unique country full of color and culture.
El Salvador is not that different from the United States when it comes to electing a leader. For example, voting is very akin. Just like in the United States anyone 18 or older is allowed to vote. Likewise, both the United States and El Salvador have presidents. In El Salvador the president is Sanchez Ceren, who took office on June 1st 2014 and was a former politician and rebel leader. However, there president serves more time in office then the president of the United States. President Sanchez is currently on his second term which is five years long. From the research I found, I feel that president Sanchez Ceren is a commendable leader because he fought for his country during a civil war and works to end violence in El Salvador (“Republic of El Salvador”).

Equally similar to the United States government, El Salvador’s government has three branches. The Executive branch, Judicial, and Legislative branch. In the Executive branch, the president elects a cabinet and they serve for five years. In the Legislative branch, there are 84 seats and the people can vote them in for three terms. In the Judicial branch, 15 judges are elected by a Legislative Assembly. Additionally, the government makes sure that their people have rights. They have freedom of press, assembly, association, education and religion are respected (“El Salvador”). If the United States wasn’t an option, I would chose to live in this country because they have rights and a government close to what the United States is

For twelve years (1980-1992), El Salvador suffered this brutal civil war and saw some of the worst human rights abuses in Latin American history. The government refused to attend peace talks by the FMLN and the FMLN refused to participate in elections knowing it results would be rigged. The military tried to kill all suspected rebels and the FMLN damaged anything that supported the government’s economy. Throughout the war there was so much human rights violations such as subjecting civilians to torture, forced disappearance, extrajudicial killing, mutilation, mass rape, massacres, summary executions, landmines and indiscriminate bombing. As the result, by the end of the civil war about 75,000 people were killed, sadly most of which were civilians in the wrong place at the wrong time. The intensity of military repression and constant fear provoked massive northern migration to the United States. By the mid-1980s almost one-fifth of the Salvadoran population was living in the United
The capital of the country Honduras is Tegucigalpa. It is located in the Southern part of the country. Three other important cities in Honduras are San Pedro Sula, Danlí, and Roatan. I chose San Pedro Sula as an important city because it is the second largest city in Honduras. Also, it is located in Northern Honduras. I chose Danlí as an important city because is the smallest city, and has the smalled population. Danlí is located in Southern Honduras. The last place I chose is Roatan, I chose it because it is the biggest of Honduras’ bay islands. It is located North of Honduras.
The Chile Presidential Election is going to take place on November 19th, 2017. The elected President will serve a four-year term and begin their term on March 11th, 2018. If none of the candidates secure the absolute majority though, a “runoff” election will be held on December 17th, 2017. They have this election so the current President, Michelle Bachelet, from being reelected. This is basically like a second round for all the candidates. As for the senate, only 23 of the 43 members will serve in the National Congress for their eight-year term. They’re only raising the number of membership after this election from 38 to 43 and then eventually 50 for the 2021 election.

The survey found that just only twelve percent believe the government is in control. Six percent answered it’s President Salvador Sánchez Cerén holds power, and only three percent answered the same about the governing Farabundo Martí National Liberation Front. The survey found that sixty-one percent of Salvadorans believe that insecurity and chaos remains the country's primary problem, and eighty-one percent believe that crime and insecurity have grown in size. As for the factors responsible for worsening crime and insecurity, 45 percent of Salvadorans pointed to the "poor performance of the government," while just 15 percent blamed the gangs and 6 percent blamed the National Police. What’s incredible that if you think about it El salvador has a population of 6.3 million people, and half of them have no idea where they stand in all this. It’s one thing to have a government but it’s another when you have gangs that rule your country to do as they please without peace and
This baseline will only reflect the cultural awareness of Ecuador. I’m also going to discuss why Ecuador could be beneficial for the country of the United States, simply because of their natural resources. Even though it is considered a third world country, it has a lot of potential to be one of the most prosperous countries in South America due to the products it has to offer. Ecuador, is a democratic republic country in South America, and is surrounded by Colombia on the north, Peru on the east and south, and the Pacific Ocean on the west. This country also includes the well-known Galapagos Islands in the Pacific, about 600 miles west of the mainland. Ecuador straddles the equator, from which it takes its name. Ecuador’s overall landscape
The Salvadoran government, since the peasant revolt in 1932, had actively played a role in oppressing the impoverished majority through autocratic rule. Due to the government being an autocratic regime that had limited checks on it’s power, it was able to use military force to support the agricultural elite oppression. The El Salvadoran government was an autocracy that was unresponsive to it’s citizens. Those that expressed dissent or populist sentiments were deemed enemies of the government, and the government acted accordingly in eliminating those threats which included the use of force. Elections, though considered free and fair by the US, limited the participation of political candidates that were far left of center.
The executive branch consists of Chief of State, head of government, and cabinet. The legislative branches consist of members directly elected by majority in a two-round vote and also serve only a five-year term, and the judicial branch has the people’s supreme court, which is the highest court, and consist of 41 professional judges; additionally the elected judges only serve for 2.5

There are plenty of good things to be said about El Salvador, the Latin American country that sits in the heart of Central America, surrounded by volcanic mountains, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and a Pacific coast of startlingly beautiful beaches and rustic fishing villages.
Once upon a time, El Salvador was a land known for its sunny beaches and the locals’ warmth. Nowadays, the country is recognized worldwide for its high crime and poverty rate. El Salvador has become a nation full of corruption and instability. People here live in constant fear due to the presence of gangs, who are responsible for most of the violence in the country.
El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras are currently the one of the world’s most dangerous triangles. Political instability as well as economic rules these three countries, in El Salvador, the GDP only grew 1.9% within 6 years, making it one of the slowest growing economies in Central America ( World Bank, 2017).
