Worthy? The word honor means high respect or esteem. To me honor is a feeling that you have toward someone who has done or achieved something that that you find honorable of respectful. Einstein had many honorable accomplishments that contributed to things we still do and think of today. One achievement of Einstein’s was the human understanding of light. His interest in light came at an early age. In 1905, he conducted his first “Thought Experiment” and formed the special theory of relativity which said that light is constant. This contradicted what other scientist of his time had thought. It also said that nothing can travel faster than the speed of light at 186,000 miles/second, and that light travels at the same speed no matter where the source is coming from. Eventually after Einstein came to the United States from Germany they began to work on the bomb, they called this the Manhattan Project which slowly started in late 1941. Einstein was honored for many of his several innovations and discoveries. One of the biggest of these was his invention of the atom bomb, also being blamed for its creation while being honored. Also with his many discoveries in physics led to him being honored with a variety of different awards. He also had many finds in astronomy that had to do with gravity that influenced some of the things we still use for space travel. Einstein was honored from his discoveries, innovations, and inventions because he contributed to a lot of the future in his time or current day technology in our time. There are things that he discovered that we still use today. Einstein worked on discovering the special relativity theory, along with his quantum’s theory of light and much more including gravity and the atomic bomb.
