Sir Edward William Elgar was born on June 2, 1857. Elgar was a classical English composer who had written many famous works throughout his lifespan and was a very successful composer. Elgar may be referred to as an English composer; however, his influences mostly came from continental Europe. A self-taught composer, he sometimes felt out of place both socially and musically. Even though he felt like an outsider he was a very humble man throughout all of his success. When he achieved his success he was very proud of himself while still remaining humble because it had been a long journey to success. Being able to use all of the proper personal protective equipment (ppe) when taking x-rays will decrease the exposure of radiation to the veterinary technician. The things that a vet tech needs to wear when taking an x-ray are: lead-lined aprons, lead-lined gloves, thyroid shield, and lead glasses. I chose personal protective equipment because I feel that the ppe is the most important to the vet tech than anything else.
