I have done many nice thing over my 18 years of being alive. The one thing that I have done that I would consider to be my nicest thing was spending time with one of my campers at my Summer camp that I work at Over the Summer. I am a summer camp counselor at my local Boy Scout camp. I have worked there for over five years now. I have earned my Eagle Scout during my time on this camp staff. I learned many skills through this job. The one skill that I learned was the ability to work with a homesick camper. This skill was helpful when one day I saw a kid sitting by himself. I went over and discovered that the boy was crying. I sat down with him and asked him his name and what was the matter. He wouldn't respond to me because he was too homesick
Hitler managed to captivate and motivate an entire country by using propaganda, the youth, and the power, to make the entire population of germans hate Jews. Hitler succeeded indoctrination of the German people, in many ways: through the Hitler Youth, education, and propaganda. The main form of indoctrination was the Hitler Youth. Hitler was believed that children could be totally indoctrinated in their education.
Atticus Finch possesses the virtues of a mockingbird in the book To Kill A Mockingbird. For example, after a rabid dog wandered into town “One-shot Finch” (Atticus) cautiously “brought the gun to his shoulder” and took away the threat. One of the key traits of a mockingbird was that they do no harm. Atticus didn’t believe in hunting because he had an unfair advantage over the animals. While Atticus did in fact do harm to the dog, it could’ve infected and killed the entire town with it’s disease if Atticus hadn’t acted. This is only one example of Atticus, similarity to a mockingbird preventing harm. Similarly, when Atticus took Tom Robinson’s case, a mob came to his jailhouse at night to attack or kill Tom. They were prepared to destroy anything
Dee Brown's Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee was first published in the United States in 1970. This landmark book—which incorporated a number of eyewitness accounts and official records—offered a scathing indictment of the U.S. politicians, soldiers, and citizens who colonized the American West.

What do you think when you picture a good leader? Do you picture someone who possesses integrity, loyalty, and knowledge or someone who is strong, loud and powerful? Leaders can have many different qualities and still be successful, respected, and admired. There are some leaders who are in total control, they tell a group of people what to do and people follow orders. Others may be focused more on morals, they teach people and listen to other people’s ideas, and they want to help people; Atticus Finch from Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird is a really worthy comparison to this type of leader. Atticus falls under the INFJ personality type, some people refer to
In the book To kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee,character Scout Finch displays a tremendous change and growth throughout the book.Scout Finch is introduced as a stubborn, ignorant, feisty, and critical little girl. However,Scout goes through a series of changes which makes her realize and understand the other characters (characters’) struggles throughout the novel. She has a few major changes and realizations in the beginning, middle, and end (the end) of the novel.
Three character traits of Atticus are responsible, courageous and righteous. First of all Atticus is seen as a very responsible man in the novel. An example is that Atticus has brought up his children without a wife to support him. He has been responsible, to bring his children what they wanted, to provide them with the necessities they need, listen to them, answer their questions and mainly love them. This shows how responsible he is because he has brought up his kids in a fairly nice manner and let them fulfil their wishes, but with restrictions against wrong-doings. Another example that is connects to responsibility is that as a lawyer he has taken up Tom Robinson’s case even if he knew it would be difficult. He has showed the character trait f being responsible because he has supported his profession and even if it would cause
Harper Lee’s book, To Kill a Mockingbird possesses many admirable characters, but one shines above the rest. Atticus Finch is portrayed in the story as nearly the perfect father. Atticus not only pours his heart and soul into his career as an honest lawyer, but he also displays commendable traits as a father. Throughout the story he treats his children with respect; almost as if they were mature adults. He never simplifies his speech just because he is speaking to children.
In the novel, To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee, Jean Louise Finch, best known as Scout, has many admirable traits that add to the realistic feeling of her character. Scout presents herself as a strong-willed girl that already understands a lot about how the world, or at least her small town of Macomb works. However, just as any other child, she has yet to discover all the facts about life. While her father agreed to defend an African American in court, she and her brother both received taunting comments from kids, adults, and even family. Scout displays true courage when defending her father’s name. Though most of the time Scout acts tough, she holds compassion in her heart for those who appear troubled. As Scout explores the true nature of human society, she proves herself to be naive, brave, and compassionate.
In the novel To Kill a Mocking Bird by Harper Lee, Atticus Finch is the father of two main characters Jem and Scout. Atticus is a respected lawyer in Maycomb County. Atticus treats everyone the same, no matter man, woman, white, or black. This novel portrays Atticus as a wise, calm, and kind. This gives him the respect that he deserves from Maycomb County.
“It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends”-J.K Rowlings. Atticus did exactly this, he is a type of person everyone should everyone should want to be when they grow up. He is an exemplary person that shows the character traits of integrity, courage, and kindness. Atticus is also a perfect example of the Golden Rule. In the book “To Kill A Mockingbird” by Harper Lee(1962), Atticus was displayed as person that if everyone was the world would be such a better place. It’s obvious, Tom Robinson doesn't have a chance of winning the case because it’s an African-American’s word going against a white man and daughter’s word in the very serious crime of rape, Atticus should still defend him anyway.
Atticus’ thoughts on how mockingbirds have no reason to die can be connected to his pacifistic ideals. In response to Atticus’ thoughts Miss Maudie said, “Mockingbirds don’t do one thing but make music for us to enjoy...” Even though Atticus doesn’t say this directly it is implied that this is his thoughts on the issue. Because the mockingbirds don’t disrupt humans or cause harm they are considered neutral animals, but since they sing they are considered valuable which makes it a sin to kill them in Atticus’ eyes. When speaking to Uncle Jack about the case he’s taking Atticus says, “Right. But do you think I could face my children otherwise?” This shows how even when he’s considering a case that could not only ruin his reputation and family
An Indian girl was about to be attacked by a soldier and I put him in his rightful place. In this case the proper place was a nearby mountain with a very hungry cougar on it. A very young soldier was bleeding out and I slowed it enough for a nurse to find him. There were many others that I did my best to help over the years and all became dear to me. I did not know how much power I had and how bad this war was until Sherman decided to burn the South.

* One thing is always sure when you 're a nice person; people will tend to reciprocate in your time of need because as individuals, we 're bound to face challenges, disappointments and looses at some point in our lives. That is just human nature, most of us feel really motivated to help those that have helped us, i am a very sure bet in this regard. It’s an aspect of me that i strive to do more often because i feel that individual has slightly changed my world with his acts of kindness.
