Punch-drunk is a British company that performs a wide variety of theatrical performances and transforms them into the wild and the peculiar. It was founded in 2000 (En.wikipedia.org. (2017) by Artist and Director Felix Barrett, who was award an MBE on July 5th 2017 for his work in the theatre industry (Anon, (2017). The Company has been producing shows for 17 years, taking classical storytelling and adding their own twist on the story. The stories are then turned into real-life pieces that are not staged in a typical classical theatre, but in various locations that are well-suited to each part of the story for example, an old warehouse or an ancient asylum. This gives the audience a sensory perception of the world around them and presents them with a joyful experience of witnessing a story told in a way that’s not just the lifeless classical proscenium arch stage layout and more of a place where they can watch the action at different angles taking audience awareness out of the picture and applying the “Fourth wall technique” used by Dennis Diderot (En.wikipedia.org. (2017). This keeps the audience on edge and scares ordinary audiences away from Punch-drunk as the work that they produce is regarded as “out of the ordinary “by most classical theatre audiences. Some of the parts of the story contains physical theatre (Punch-drunk (2017). making the performance non-naturalistic and naturalistic, simultaneously.

Risky Drinking is an HBO documentary that provides a deep look inside the stories of four very different people, and the consequences of alcohol on their lives and on their families. In USA, nearly 70% of adults drink alcohol, while almost 1/3 of the American adults involved in problems at some stage in their lives due to drinking alcohol.

Overall the aim of the game is to facilitate a virtual simulation of drinking scenarios teenagers may be exposed to in the real world and for the player to experience the consequences of their drinking choices and actions in a safe environment.

In the article “Drinking over the Lifespan” By: Jennifer E. Merrill, Ph.D., and Kate B. Carey, Ph.D. They talk about how many college students drink heavily and experience myriad associated negative consequences. Most college student’s drink, they tend to drink more heavily than their friends who don’t attend college. Many of these drinking patterns have affected many environmental and temporal characteristic specific to the college environment, including residential campus living, the academic week, and the academic year. A study shows that about 41 percent of 18-24 year olds are enrolled in post-secondary education. The party life can do one of two things consume the foolish though judgment or be enjoyed by the observant through acceptance. This is a prevalent theme in both The Lovesong of J-Alfred Prufrock and The Great Gatsby. Even everyday life experiences support this idea. The more strong willed and observant folk often get awe struck by parties and can enjoy them. While the more self-centered and foolish get consumed and enveloped in the party itself along with the people. A party offers several things that are each prevalent in everyday life. Being surrounded by people, music, and food. These are the basic elements of a party that influence the consumption or success of the party goer.

I took away many things from this video. I realized that when stuff like this happens, it is really traumatic. All the emotions and sadness that come along with this video really hit me. I also learned that drinking and driving affects more people than just the people involved. It affects family, friends, and more. These people could be damaged emotionally if somebody they loved got hurt in one of these devastating car accidents. I also learned never to get into a car with the driver being somebody who has consumed alcohol. All the passengers got hurt in this scenario. I also should never drive after drinking because I could get in serious trouble and hurt all the people who are in the car with me.

When you make the decision to go out drinking it is best to be prepared. Always be sure you have extra money for a cab or have a designated driver tag along so you can insure that you can have a safe ride home if you end up unable. But if you can not find a sober friend to drive for you or you don’t have the extra money for a cab home, I would suggest that you simply stay home to have a few drinks or maybe try again on another day when you would be able to have a friend or cab assist you. Or maybe you could all plan for a drinking night at one designated place where everyone can stay over night if they need to. If you make the conscious decision to drink then you should first and before most be responsible. You don’t want anyone getting hurt

How can alcohol influence someone at a college football game? Does alcohol give someone a good reputation or regrets? Alcohol can make you act a certain way. Football games should be fun and enjoyable to watch without trying. In my opinion, alcohol at college football games can cause bad decisions, foul language, and effects on others to and from.

The results of both these studies found that bitterness increases the independent variables. In the first study it was concluded that bitterness provokes more hostile behaviour and feelings than participants who drank sweet or neutral drinks. In today’s society, sporting events and alcohol are intertwined. Social drinking has always been a part of the sporting spectrum, whether at a tailgate party, sports bar, professional stadium or arena, and even at home. Collegiate sporting events are no exception to this popular pastime. However, alcohol is not available at every NCAA sporting event. According to Mitchell (2015), only 25% of FBS colleges allow the sale of alcohol at sporting events. Obviously, the main concern for not allowing alcohol at sporting events is the risk of underage drinking, binge drinking, and rowdiness among students and fans. Despite this setback, many colleges are allowing the sales of alcohol in order to decrease the economic burden many colleges are facing. Several colleges such as the University of Maryland and the University of Memphis have recently started implementing the sales of alcohol for this reason. Not only is sales the main revenue stream for selling alcohol, but also sponsorship from the alcohol companies themselves. The idea of extra revenue may sound great for many collegiate athletic departments, but there are legal risks to take into full consideration.

I understand that, at least for me at the time, drinking was a way of connecting with friends, to socialize with strangers, and to alleviate the shyness. But in hindsight, I noticed there was a change from wanting to needing a drink.  It was a way to deal with the tree of work and life itself. Years later now my wife and son are in the picture, I do my best not drink "that much" at home, but still finding a myriad of excuses to do so.
