There are many ways that the book has some similarities in our society. For instance, in the book "Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" some people have the same characteristics as Mr. Hyde and Dr. Jekyll. What type of characteristics? Well there is anger, hurt, and pain behind these characteristics. In this essay it will talk about the similarities in our society, what the author's meaning is, and a deeper meaning of the book. Some similarities that we have in our society is that some people have two or more different sides just Dr. Jekyll. For example, I have many side to my personality sometimes I am able to bounce to every group here at the school. An example in the book is " I let my brother go to the devil in his own quaintly" (pg 1). This quote is talking about how us as humans can draw ourselves in a good direction or a bad direction. So, basically going your own path then other and going to the negative or evil side of your personality. Many people today have a good side or a dark side, but we all believe that there can be more then two side too a person's personality. For example, I go around school almost knowing everyone, that is because I have different sides in my personality. That's not necessarily a bad thing because u are using other ways to get to know more people and socialize with others. Another thing that Stevenson is showing is that if you keep in a grudge or just hold in something instead of letting it go it can get to you and eventually people can explode of anger or sadness.
