The things the American consumer eats are not what they seem to be. Much like pollution, the major food companies are treating America to unhealthy products that can cause physically damage to the human body. From motivational competition to company rivals, people aspire for greatness, to be the best at what they do. Some people desire to be the best will even go to drastic measures to get what they want. Companies like General Mills and Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, Nestle, Kraft, and Nabisco have more than their friendly share of competition, some could even say that they are fighting for the monopoly of the food industry. As a result of this everlasting battle, this is fought for what they call “Food Share” the human populous has been caught and dragged into the cross fire of the food companies. …show more content…

At that time he would have been considered over weight according to the Body Mass index chart. In Zinczeniko’s essay it says, “Before 1994, diabetes in children was generally caused by a genetic disorder, only five percent of children cases were obesity related or type two-diabetes.” Over time the percentages grew nearly twenty five percent making all cases of childhood obesity and type two diabetes thirty percent.
