When I considered a building that reminded me of classical architecture, the first one to come to mind was the First Bank of the United States in Philadelphia, PA, the oldest bank building in the United States. Alexander Hamilton, the first Secretary of the Treasury, proposed the idea of a national bank and Samuel Blodget Jr. was the architect behind the design.
