In the recent years, there has been an increasing interest in using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in scientific, civilian, and military applications. Quadcopter UAV is defined as a small vehicle with four rotor-propeller sets distributed around its body \citep{Salih}. It is one of the most popular designs for UAV due to their ability in vertical take-off and landing (VTOL), simplicity in its mechanical configuration and ease of maintenance. In addition, the use of four small propellers in quadcopter reduces the danger posed by the propellers if it touches external object as compared with one big propeller in helicopter or airplane \citep{Nemati}. One of the quadcopter types that gains growing attention is the racing or high speed quadcopters due to their wide range of applications in surveillance, search, rescue, fire fighting, UAV based delivery, and other similar missions.
