I called the constituent and he was frustrated because he received a letter stating his income is $1800.00 when he only gets $1209.00 of SSD and $288.79 from his Disability Insurance Company. He stated that would like to file for a hearing, but before it, he is exploring the possibility to see if someone can review his case, so it can be fixed without a need to go into a hearing process. I opened DHR and ACCESS and tried to inform him that the caseworker coded exactly those numbers that he provided me and additionally $786.00 of his wife's SSD. He, raising his voice, said that the caseworker Christy Reynold does not know how to add up numbers and she is penalizing his family, he asked me "do not you understand that?" He became irate and asked me if I know how to add numbers, he said then that he wants to file for a hearing, and became rude and started to insult me and saying "if you were in front of me I will ..." Then he suddenly hung up. Note: There are not an hearable issues because their income, according to his information verbally provided to me, is what is coded in the system (DHR).
