the apparent differences between religions are ultimately inessential and do not mask the inherent unity among world religions. First, it is important to note the distinctions between and differences among the various world religions. In Abrahamic monotheistic religions, regarded as Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, God is the primary driver of worship and action (Young 179). In Christianity particularly, religious practices surround the teaching of the Bible, wherein Jesus and God are worshipped and lessons are taught through biblical tales. Morals are ultimately derived form God, suggesting that people must live with the purpose of loving and appeasing God (Young 210). In Judaism, the Torah acts as the foundational text for religious teachings, wherein the word “Torah” itself refers to God’s teachings and commandments. Within the Torah, Judaism professes the belief in a”promise land” that is “flowing with milk and honey,” suggestive of an ideal world to which obeying God can lead humanity (Young 195). Islam, on the other hand, derives religious practices from the Qur’an. Moreover, a central focus of Islam pertains to submission to God. Specifically, the word “Islam” itself translates to “submission,” and “Muslim” means “one who submits” (Young 235). With this in mind, along with the prevalence of peace in Islamic religions, it is clear that Islam establishes itself on the platform that true peace may only be achieved when human beings surrender themselves to God (Young
In reviewing the scripture readings presented for this lesson, each religion has one intrinsic similarity; that is the belief in God. Where both Islam and Judaism view God as one entity, Christians believe in the Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), ("Islam, Judaism and," 2004-2013). Review of the scripture

Clancy was also a member of the Reserve Officer Training Corps, or ROTC. Though he was very willing to serve, he was turned down after trying to enlist due to his myopia. The message of peace is a fundamental universal concern which is relevant throughout our world today. Peace is not merely the ‘absence of war’, but a state of mind in which a sense of tranquillity comes from actively working towards right relationships with individuals and God. Religion plays a huge role in today’s day and age. In fact, religion has been of huge importance since cavemen were, well, cavemen. Through studying the main tenets in call, Judaism, Christianity and Islam were analyzed for weeks. Christianity and Islam take the cake for the two biggest religions in today’s population however, Judaism plays the smallest role. These three religions, although different, are easily able to be compared and contrasted because of all of the history and information we have attained towards these separate beliefs. Christianity, Judaism, and Islam all have similar origins, development, beliefs, and sacred texts. Contrary to popular belief all three of these religions share more common ground than one would think. The differences are present of course, but the similarities help one understand where all three were derived from and why. All of the religions share the common ground as to the knowledge of Jesus Christ, the belief of monotheism, and “ethical standards required social justice for individuals and for the community” (144). Judaism is the oldest religion out of the three, then falls Christianity, and lastly Islam.
Does the believers of the three Abrahamic religions worship the same God? When all three faiths go to worship on their consecrated days, are they worshipping the same deity? A lot of people seem to think so, such as some worshippers of the three faiths and some philosophers or scholars who share some sort of interest in religion. Either way it goes, both sides have a good amount of substantial facts to support their arguments, whether it is good or bad. And I believe that the only way to fully answer this question in its entirety is to look back at some of the differences and similarities that the three religions may have in common with one another.
I am committed to pursuing a career in public interest, but I am aware of the financial and vocational hurdles that can come with it. The programs and university support are unique among the schools I’m considering. I am particularly interested the community economic development focus of the civil justice clinic. The PLRI and generous PICAP program are unique offerings I couldn’t
