Diary entry 2:
We landed in independence, MO. We took a little rest overnight and one of the Indians took our kid Hamilton Weaver. We have not found him yet and I think that they are going to give up hope. He's been gone for 5 weeks and we are already at the Platte River.I can only imagine what he looked like: blonde and brunette hair but mostly brunette about 3”. I didn't know him that well because he usually just stayed in the wagon but most people say that he was really nice and never complained, even when he had an empty stomachs It's very humid after a night at Fort Henry, Platte River is running high we tried to cross the river by floating our wagon across. I cauked my wagon and lost one day of food supplies that we couldn't afford to lose. The leader said that it’s okay and we will try to get some food from Shoshone indians considering that they are very nice. Later that night we found a Shoshone camp, it took awhile for everyone to warm up to each other. Their leader Black Dog was a very good leader we made some exchanges with them because they gave us a lot of food they even let us eat supper with them. We all sat around the campfire telling stories Black Dog's son black bear had very good stories about the other pioneers along the trail, he said that many of them tried to kill them so that they could steal their food and animals, but

The two character traits `I don’t like Austin is that he is bitter and rude about most things that happen to him. One example of this would be when he was talking to Mr.Greene (the vice principal)on pg. 129 the last paragraph he was screaming at an adult in a position of power, all because of what he didn't want Tyson to be in the Shadow Club. The only reason he didn't want Tyson to get in because he had a bad first impression. This shows that Jared was bitter because he was scared Tyson would leak to everyone what the Shadow Club is and what they did and rude to not let Tyson in and to scream at an adult. I thought Jared is bitter because in the chapter of “What Ralphy Said” pranks were being pulled that
Black Elk Speaks by John G. Neihardt is a story told for readers that take them on an adventure to knowing and caring about Black Elk himself and his tribe of his people. Neihardt talked about the spiritual visions of Black Elk that preceded sacred ceremonial dances, such as the Heyoka Ceremony, which followed Black Elk’s Dog Vision. Neihardt discussed the feelings and emotions that Black Elk felt from the visions he was experiencing; the sorrow that overwhelmed him as he witnessed the loss of loved ones and the conflict that he continually suffered while taking on such an essential duty for his tribe. Black Elk recognized that his people and their culture were starting to dwindle away. Neihardt expressed Black Elk's passion towards this situation by creating a vivid picture of the conflict that the

I met with my colleague earlier this week and she asked if it was ok with me to facilitate the substance abuse group on Mondays, instead of the relapse prevention group on Wednesdays. She said this will help me to become more knowledgeable about the street drugs and there effects on the body. I told her I didn’t mine taking over the substance abuse group at all. In the substance abuse group the facilitator usually have discussions on but not limited to the different types of illicit drugs on the street and the physical and psychological effects on the human body. The different routes of entry to the body and how long it stays in the body is discussed as well.
“”Here,” he said. “Give me your hand. We are brothers. You are my son. I pass to you my vision, even though I cannot pass to you my knowledge. There lies in the ground not far from here one who truly was my son. He could not bear the pain of knowing two truths. And so I give my vision to you who knows one one. Perhaps it will be easier to bear. Perhaps it will be easier to share.”” Throughout the book Neither Wolf Nor Dog by Kent Nerburn, the author travels a long way from his home to visit the reservation of a Native American elder named Dan. Nerburn agrees to write a book for Dan that will attempt to convey some aspects of American Indian life and truth in contrast to false images displayed in pop culture. This passage contributes to the

Most of the men of the tribe sent out one day trying to make peace with another tribe. Dances with Wolves was assigned to watch the chief’s family. We’re sitting around the fire when Guwisguwi starts to tell a story, so everyone quiets down and listens to one of his many stories he always told. He started off talking about how it was a hot summer day when he was riding out to town with his tribe; when a couple of white people were up to no good started making trouble in his tribe, so he got in one little fight and his mom got scared and said your moving with your
3.2. – Explain the purpose of using diary systems to plan and co-ordinate activities and resources
Once the men were ready, they all went walking towards the “whites village,” chanting our tribes incantation:''Tous des sauvages, des sauvages!" The whole tribe was chanting back and forth. While the tribe was marching their way over there, I tagged along but hiding behind them. In order for my father not to see me because although he is my father when it comes to choosing to be a commander and a father he will choose to be a commander instead. Then realized John was not with his people. He ended up finding me and explained to me what had happened, that his father was informed from one of his informers that John had fallen in love with a Native American and his dad then became furious. I explained what I told my dad and how I felt, after we united we decided to try to talk to our fathers while they were at
Like a coin dropped between the cushions of a couch, traditional oral storytelling is a custom fading away in current American culture. For Native Americans, however, the practice of oral storytelling is still a tradition that carries culture and rich history over the course of generations. Three examples of traditional oral stories, “How Men and Women Got Together”, “Coyote’s Rabbit Chase”, and “Corn Mother”, demonstrate key differences in perspectives and values among diverse native tribes in America.
Journal Fragment #1, November 6th. I was headed to my office to plan for the future of Deutschland (homeland). With the British under my rule only a matter of time before the rest will also. In the meantime, my engineers have been busy building a couple platoons of an ultimate machine; my army had been able to stall my neighboring countries to the west from reaching my heartland, or the area constructing my machine. My ally is starting to grow uneasy with my lack of offensive measures. His country threats to disband and take on the fleets himself, however, I tell him “United we stand, divided we fall,” which always kept their support alongside my land.
A diary is an excellent instrument to express points of view and show the deepest feelings of a person. For this reason, I decided to write one in order to show the emotions and feelings that were flowing in the mind of John but those weren't expressed or shown openly by him.
