The Lost Deer
One morning, a baby deer awoke to the unusual sounds of a foreign forest, it’s curiosity hit him. The fawn sat up in confusement to find himself surrounded by an unusual forest with small eyes staring at him from behind the bushes. He was quite confused on why he wasn’t at home, he looked around and glanced at the glaring green eyes shining from the bushes nearby. The fawn got up on it’s weak hind legs, and walked along the dusty, old path. He was unsure on why there were so many eyes on him, and how he had gotten here. The youngin heard booming footsteps approaching him, he saw a dark, yet gleaming shine of light speeding towards him.
“What is a deer like you doing in my forest?” he shouted, causing the deer to flinch in fear.
“Sorry sir, I woke up in this forest unintentionally, and was meaning to find my own way home. However I stumbled across unusual sounds, and due to curiousity, I decided to explore,” gulped the fawn.
“Well then, since you have wondered up in here unintentionally, I guess you’ll just have to stay here,” spoke the King, in a loud gruelling voice.
The fawn did not fear this king whatsoever, his loud, raspy voice, his big elegant golden wings, did not seem to worry him. He quietly but swiftly walked through the forest, scanning every bit he could see.
“Why hello, who and what may you be?” Said a high British voice echoing from the tall tree tops.
“I’m..Fawn sir, I have been welcomed to join this mystical forest by your king. I woke
Upon arrival he walks through the forest with the noises of many animals echoing throughout. Suddenly, he
“My little Lamb, is this the music you spoke so warmly of?” Questioned the Wolf.
“Hello,” He says in a voice in a voice that is both deep and as sweet as honey.
I pulled myself out of my hole and walked up the river, hoping to see my home in the distance. Then, all at once, three growling, snarling animals burst out of the bushes. I backed up against a tree, scared. They had surrounded me! The animals closed in, making their terrible sounds. Then, right before I knew it was the end, a huge wolf lashed out of the bushes, baring it’s teeth. The three animals ran off their sounds growing fainter and fainter until they stopped. For a second I thought the wolf was going to eat me, but then I realized he was smiling at me. “Are you new here?” The wolf asked, “My name is Leo, What's yours?” “Y-Yes,” I stammered, still in shock, “I’m new here, and my name is Oliver. I was taken away from my family because of a storm.” “the same storm separated me from my pack!” Leo exclaimed’ “I am the alpha wolf, so I am the strongest and best at fighting.” “do you want to travel with me?” I asked Leo quietly. “Of course! I need a friend,” Leo said. “So do I,” I said with relief in my voice. “Then come on! I’ll show you the forest,” Leo said excitedly. “Okay!” I replied happily as I ran to catch up with
I lay low to the ground, and quickly make my way across the moonlight stretch of grass. Looking back, I can see the black suited wolf has rounded the corner, and has also taken up whistling a jaunty tune. Sighing, I reach the forest’s
“Thanks, I was on a journey to find the Dragon, which I’m assuming you are also, because no one just stumbles across these woods, when I fell into this trap that it probably set up to stop people from following him..” he said, “also, my name is John.”
"I am here to serve your king. I do not want to be in my fathers kingdom anymore. I wish to make peace with your people and bring destruction over my fathers people!" he quickly stated. He held his head high, hoping the Crondel would let him join and not kill
Suddenly, they heard Max bark, but the bark wasn’t coming from the street, the bark was coming from inside the forest.
The only thing that I hear at this point is the rustle of the wind through the tree branches. In the distance, birds sing their mystical song that entrances all who listen. As I travel further into the dense forest, brushing the hard-rough bark of the tree's trunks as I pass, I can feel the energy of each tree.
“Looks like the kingdom changed when we were running, this forest is the direct opposite of Crowlfield. We have to go back to the village,” Aileen shouts back to him, looking at the map for another direction, “Unless we go on a different, longer route deeper in the forest, but we’ll cross no villages or towns,”
It was quiet for the most part, the owls hooted and the other more smaller animals scurried away to the safety of their homes, however this particular canine walked a path of dead leaves to her "special spot" where food was constantly present.
“Poseidon has said something about you.” An enormous head popped out from the forest as I stood there unflinching.
“Go do your knightly duties, but come and spend the night with me if you can, if not, I'll see you in the morning.”
Easton looked from one druid to the next as each one stood and nodded their agreement. Easton stood. “My heart is full with the honor you bestow on myself, my grandmother, my wife, and our son.” He nodded to Beorn. “That includes you, Father.”
“We’re going to try and slip him through the forest.” He hurried toward the door. “See to your mother and sister.”
