“Hurry or you’ll be late!” called my mother from the bottom of the stairs. “Today of all days you want to be on time.” If I had only known what that day would bring, I would have stayed in bed. But one thing my mom didn’t know was that my friends and I skipped school to go look at an abandoned house. The house was also supposedly haunted.I met up with my friends at the bus stop as usual. Once everyone was at the bus stop, we ran as fast as we could to the abandoned house. So we wouldn’t get caught be the bus driver or anyone else.
Once we ran for a short amount of time we finally saw the rundown house in the distance. Once we got a little closer we saw a brown fence blocking our path. We walked around the fence until we found a small opening. It was just big enough for us to get through. Once we all got through the fence we could barely see the house, because the grass and weeds were so tall. We pushed our way through the weeds and grass and finally made it to the back of the house. We tried to look through the filthy windows, but they were boarded up. Before I opened the door, I asked everybody “Do we really want to do this?” Alexis being the brave one said “Just do it.” Jada is the scared one asked “Are we really going to do this?” And me being the curious one I wanted to see what was inside the house. Once we got in the house we felt a cold burst of air.
We started walking around the dark and gloomy house with our phone flashlights on. We stopped in are tracked when we heard a noise coming from the back of the house. We started walking towards the back of the crummy house until we saw a dark figure walking towards the stairs. Jada saw the dark figure and froze. Alexis and I had to pull her into the dirty closet so the figure wouldn’t see us. When we thought the coast was clear we peaked out the closet to see if the figure was still there.
While we were in the closet, my shoe made an obnoxious noise on the I ground. Terror filled inside me when I heard the creaky footsteps of the figure. When we heard the footsteps get louder and louder. We decided to run for it. I opened the closet door and to my surprise, I saw the figure at the end of the stairs. The figure made eye contact with me and ran towards
Concussions have plagued NFL ever since football was invented. There have been 29 concussions in 2015 and the number may continue to grow. Munro Cullum, a professor of psychiatry and neurology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, and his colleagues reported that having a concussion can have long lasting effects. 28 former football players were studied and 8 of those were diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment; they had some deficits in memory. While having the best equipments can increase the amount of damage sustained, there will always be a chance of concussion because brain floats in the cerebrospinal fluid in our skull and when there’s an impact, the brain hits the skull causing cell damage. Best way to tackle this is to
I walked towards the house, my father opened the door and walked in. I took a step on the squeaky wooden floor and looked around, it was very open and for sure needed to get dusted and wiped clean. I spotted the stairs and went running towards them

Mom would be home soon and I was getting kind of bored. I broke through the gaggle of girls barking at Krista, said a quick goodbye and started home. Luckily for me, Krista’s house was only 5 or 10 minutes away from mine. Unluckily for me, I didn’t bring a coat, so I had to trek into the frigid, biting wind that nipped at my body the entire time home. As soon as I reached my house my body was wrapped in a blanket of warmth, the familiar smell of waffles and syrup greeting my nose. Since my mom wouldn’t be home for another hour or so, I didn’t try to sneak back in. Yet to my surprise, as I stomped upstairs I heard a voice coming from her room. It’s probably just Ally on the phone or something, I reassured myself. When I passed by my mom’s room, it wasn’t Ally standing there, it was my mom pacing the room with a worried expression on her face. Something I’ve never seen
After school Amber went back home and saw her mother at the kitchen table with all these papers. What is all this Amber asked. Her mom said, I went into town and asked about who lived at this cabin before us and if anything ever happened here. They gave me these papers that say there was a fire here about 15 years ago and a little girl about your age named Lily died in that fire. The cabin was rebuilt and painted red because that was Lily’s favourite colour. They say Lily's spirit stayed in the cabin waiting for a friend to play
We snuck in quietly, and I tensed when I saw Cristy Pines waiting on the counters. She looked like she just got in a fight with a bear with her messy hair and dark stains on her clothes. I wondered what they were and tried to get closer, but then I saw something that made me stop right in the middle of my tracks. Diary, you are probably wondering what it was because I have told you so much already, so I will now explain what I saw and what I did after I saw it.
I ran across the street and almost got hit by a two bicyclist, I pick up the newspaper lying on the bench dated May 18, 2007. As I flip through the paper I see the obituary of my mother, I knew this wasn’t just a coincidence, this was my chance. I sat down on the same section of the sidewalk I sat before, although now it has many cracks. I repeated under my breath “May 16 2007” several times until finally I was placed on the same street corner again. I’m almost too positive it's the right date so I run down the street and take a left then I take two rights until I approach my driveway. As i’m just about to open the backdoor with the key that’s kept in the seat cushion near the door I realize my parents don’t know me, and I can't just walk in. I head behind the garage to strategize, I came up with the plan that i'll knock on the door and talk to them about a lost dog for a while, hoping to push back their schedule enough to prevent my mom from the
It was a dark and stormy night. I, Jonathan Harker, was shaking and I didn't know what was going on. I was seeing terrifying shadows around my room. Also, last night, I thought a person or a thing was behind me, but I couldn't see its reflection through the mirror. I didn't know what to do, so I started packing.
It was a brisk morning in December when Bobby Thomas and his older brother Max Thomas were walking home from school and reminiscing about what they were planning on doing on Saturday night. “Hey Bobby, what should we do later?” asked Max. “I am not sure.” Replied Bobby. “I wonder if mom and dad will let us ride our scooters down the stairs.” Stated Max. “I don’t think they will let us do that.” Bobby chuckled “How about we go explore something?” Bobby asked. “I believe there is an abandoned house around here.” Max replied excitedly. “What? Why? I don’t think we are allowed in that house.” Bobby said in a scared tone of voice. “Who cares it will be fun and some even say that the house could be haunted, that ghosts roam the long corridors at
You want to find something to help you escape the house, so you open each room. At the end of the house, you see a door, and there are stairs with colorful lights inside the door. Choice 1 You choose to close the door, and keep looking. Suddenly, you hear a scary sound from the window, you hide under the tables. Boo!, you hear a noisy sound come from your left side.
I turned around once again, only this time I saw a dark figure.I tried to yell for help but nothing came out. I was frozen. Time stopped for a moment as I tried to figure out what to do. “RUN!” said the dark figure.. I did what it said afraid of what it might do. This time I was running for my life. Knowing I wasn’t fast enough the dark figure was right in front of me. The figure had distinctive blue eyes like the color of the ocean, only there was darkness inside. So afraid I ran the other as fast as possible. The figure disappeared and I was very lost. Finding my way back to the trail I felt a hand on my shoulder. I screamed and this time a blood curdling scream came out.
We pulled up to an old house that looked abandoned. I saw the Chloe was trying her hardest to hide a nasty grin but, I ignored it because the house is what really grabbed my attention. Chloe turned off the car and opened the door. After that she signaled us to follow. Carly and Ellie glanced at each other and smirked at each other. We walked up to the doorway and opened the door. Somehow I got in front of them and walked in first. Right at that moment someone popped out and screamed. Then I found myself covered in spoiled milk. There was cameras flashing everywhere and all I could do was run and cry. I ran all of the way home, up the stairs, and straight into the bathroom to shower. I couldn't believe how stupid I was and how I didn't see what was coming the whole time. My mother knocked on the door. I stood there for a minute before I opened
Da Vinci Leonardo da Vinci once said, when once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return. I love this quote by Da Vinci. This quote makes me realize how precious life really is, and where you are now is where you belong. Da Vinci was born in Italy in 1452, and died in France in 1519. He was a man of many talents.
I turned on my flashlight, it was the first thing that came to my mind. As, the bright light flashed its way on, were the “shadow” I saw a couple seconds ago was gone, it must have gone back into the house have to check this out. I decided to go into the “Haunted Mansion”, I walked in and every step I took, the wooden floor made a loud “CREAK!!!” The lights are so dim, that you can’t see anything far away into the darkness, this was literally a maze. I walked until I noticed there was a staircase heading up to this second floor. I took a couple steps towards the stairs then All of sudden, the most creepiest sound in history of sounds filled my ears, it was the sound of tiny footsteps of children running around… I took one step onto the stairs and it made a huge noise. Then the running noise stopped. I listen, my heart stopped……
When I went upstairs to look there was a game room and bathroom and a little lap sitting on a table. I went more towards the lamp. Zoom!!! The lamp slides off the table and hits the wall and breaks. I run down stairs shaking. I tripped over a loose board. I hit my head on the stairs I felt like it was the end. After a few minutes I woke up in the basement I was thinking “ How did I get down here”. Then I looked up and I a little boy was looking at me. He says “ Are you ok”? I looked at him “yes thanks” for helping me. You look scared. Yes I am I came here to explore it. I fell down the stairs and hit my head as the lamp fell off the table. Sorry about that was my dad
