Victim 1
Do you ever wonder what it was like in a horror movie? Nothing like a cliche, more like It and maybe a couple others. What a doll that was cursed, able to move on her own and be insane? A doll that can smell a sin miles to acres away and track it down like a hungry bloodhound in the cold winter willing to eat any meat. That’s what happened years ago, I thought it was a legend, but never make a sin in front of the doll. You’ll wake her from her sleep and she’ll take revenge on all humanity to make the world pure.

I was five when I got the doll, not giving a care in the world to my surroundings. The doll was weird looking, almost terrifying to look at, but the doll looked to me interestingly enough to keep it and play with. She had a red top hot with a blue ribbon wrapped around it with midnight blue hair by the looks of it with light blue for her bangs, her hair in two ponytails in the upper back part of her head. Her left eye was stitched up and the right though liked like the kind that can be used for any emotion to speak of with the color of ice blue. She had a dress that covered her neck, her upper body and leggings for pants, on the feeling of the material. Her shoulders, forearm, and her nails painted black. Her shoes, just plain black with flat boots, able to take off and put back on. Doll also had pink spider earrings that was very detailed to the very inch.
Years later to age ten, was the when it all started. We lived in a quiet town and no need for police officers, but we still had them anyway. The first murder happened when my family went to the movies to see Black Moon. It was such a good movie, when it came out on VHS, I watched and watched that movie, stuck in a time lope and never leaving it. Getting up a few times to use the bathroom, eat and drink. When the movie ended, and left the building, police lights were on and flashing. We thought it was all a prank or to scare us, and it scared us to the point of nightmares. I still do up to it, but rarely now.
The details that I wish to never had seen, or to even talk about it. It was a disconnected corpse. Blood leaked out of the head which was torn off it’s body, along with it’s

Did you know that the Annabelle doll is real? The real doll is a ragged Ann doll given to a college student as a gift. The girl and her roommate saw that the doll moved. 1. I grew up seeing my family members also dance in a folkloric group. The doll triggers memories of traveling all over California whenever they had a performance and seeing them dance in front of dozens of people.
In his article, The Precession of Simulacra, Baudrillard establishes simulation as a copy of an original or otherwise reality. This concept is even apparent in the title, The Precession of Simulacra, since precession is something that precedes or comes first, and a simulacrum is an image or representation of something else; in that sense, the title literally states that an image precedes its original. Thus, Baudrillard argues that simulation adopts a reality effect in which the viewer’s view of the real world is skewed and this notion is easily seen throughout the CSI episode of “The Living Doll.”
At such a young age, children (including myself) simply wanted a doll to play with. We did not realize at the time that the original American Girl Dolls were more than their ability to throw a great tea party. The original American Girl Dolls weren't "regular" dolls. They came with a history, and their stories help young children learn and love history. To begin, the American Girl Doll franchise was created by Pleasant Rowland. Rowland and her team created each doll with a historical time period in mind, and each American Girl Doll came with its own "meet me" type book. These dolls were educational. First, Rowland created Kaya (1764). Kaya is from the Nimiipuu tribe and she teaches young girls and boys about leadership, courage, and the customs of a Native American tribe. Young girls and boys learn about a culture different from their own with Kaya. Following Kaya, is Felicity Merriman (1774). Felicity grew up during the American Revolution. Not only does she teach young girls and boys about the war, but Felicity teaches them about the

As I was on the hunt for the perfect gift for an 8 year old’s birthday, I discovered the doll market is quite different than my coming of age. Undoubtedly, Barbie is still problematic, but now she has competitors, including Bratz, and Monster High dolls, who are noticeably thinner than barbie and dressed up to look like grown women getting ready for a night of clubbing than a game of tennis. As I pick up the first doll box, I find a doll chained up in a slither of clothing with a blank expression on her face, a prominent thigh gap, with the tagline “GREAT for girls ages 5 and up!” By all means, I never imagined in my life that I would miss Barbie. For that reason, I begin to sit myself down in the toy aisle to start googling everything I could about these dolls on my
The Macbeths’ marriage, like the couple themselves, is abnormal, particularly by the standards of its time. Yet despite their odd power dynamic, the two of them seem surprisingly attached to one another, particularly compared to other married couples in Shakespeare’s plays, in which romantic luck appears mainly during courtship and marriages tend to be troubled. Macbeth offers an exception to this rule, as Macbeth and his wife are partners in the truest sense of the word. Of course, the irony / mockery of their “happy” marriage is clear—they are united by their crimes, their mutual madness, and their mounting alienation from the rest of humanity.
The main character, Nora, in Henrik Ibsen’s play “A Doll House” is a character that had been held back and repressed by the patriarchal society she existed in. Throughout the play it can be seen that most of the issues and struggles the character, Nora, faced were created and brought on by the men who were in her life. From the very beginning it is evident that Nora is as an undermined and restrained woman. Nora’s husband, Torvald, is her overseer. Torvald treats Nora like a child. He gives her nicknames like “squirrel” as if she is a little animal that only scurries about. When Nora wants money she must ask Torvald for permission to borrow some. Torvald also calls Nora a “spendthrift” as he does not trust Nora with money and believes she just wastes it on useless things. Torvald’s little nicknames for Nora seem to dehumanize her and make her seem less than her husband. When Nora suggests to Torvald to borrow money until he gets paid, Torvald responds “how like a woman! You know what I think about that. No debts! Never borrow!” (Ibsen 884) as if to indicate all women are incompetent and don’t know how to handle money. Although Nora is a victim of a destructive patriarchal society, she is also an example of what it meant to be a part of the feminist movement. Feminism is a movement and ideology that believes in the establishment of economic, political, and social equality of the sexes. At
As my 4 year old self laid upon the Kazak carpet that coated my entire living room, I seamlessly attempted to assemble my Matryoshka doll back into its original state. While my fingers lightly stroked the wooden components of the doll, I realized how captivating the complexity of it was. While I was a child, I invariably portrayed the doll as merely a “toy” with an interesting concept behind it; however, as I emerged into my adolescent years, I understood that the Matryoshka symbolized my process of growth and adaptation as an American immigrant.
I used to think that dolls were nothing except perfect little pieces of glass. I didn’t really care for me as much as my mother did, but soon enough...every look, every word, every sound started to run my life.
A Doll’s House, by Henrik Ibsen, portrays a young married woman, Nora, who plays a dramatic role of deception and self-indulgence. The author creates a good understanding of a woman’s role by assuming Nora is an average housewife who does not work; her only job is to maintain the house and raise the children like a stereotypical woman that cannot work or help society. In reality, she is not an average housewife in that she has a hired maid who deals with the house and children. Although Ibsen focuses on these “housewife” attributes, Nora’s character is ambitious, naive, and somewhat cunning. She hides a dark secret from her husband that not only includes borrowing money, but also forgery. Nora’s choices were irrational; she handled the
A Doll’s House was published in Norway in 1879 by Henrik Isben. He is known as the father of Modern Theatre. He is also referred as the father of realism. The play is very interesting because of the funny dialogue, the unique characters, and Ibsen 's view of the place of ladies in the public eye. The main characters of the play is Nora Helmer and her husband Torvald Helmer. Imagine what it would be like to live in a doll 's home? It 's a house in which you are controlled and have no energy to settle on any solid choice; It 's a house in which you are a play thing for another person 's amusement. This sounds a ton like an awful marriage, so it 's a house in which your husband holds the satchel strings, in a manner of speaking, and abandons you with no influence over your family 's accounts. In fact, your husband keeps you on a tightrope. Such is the perceived life of Nora Helmer.
The Dolls House is a story where you can see the cruelty of children towards each other. This story is centered on the concept of three middle class girls who are given a beautiful doll's house as a present. They are thrilled about the new toy just how any child would feel when they receive a new doll or
