I’m sitting in my room that I have now, taking some time, and imagining what my magical bedroom would be like. My magical, imaginary bedroom would be out of this world, extraordinary. Something many people probably dream about, but know they would not, or could not have. It would be a dream come true if I could actually have a bedroom like this. I also wished my family and I could live in an extremely big house. With many rooms, such as, a big kitchen, a two car garage, 3 bathrooms, and 4 bedrooms, one for guests. My bedroom would be a bedroom as big as a parents master bedroom. It would be a decent size, and have lots of spacious area. The walls would be a light, baby blue, and it would have a few gray accents. I would have signs, and little decorations on the walls. As soon as you walked in from the door you would feel very soft, furry carpet, that was gray with a mix of white. As soon as you looked up from the beautifully laid carpet, a few feet to your left would be a vanity with bright ring lights, and makeup mirror lights. All of my makeup brushes would be in a section, with foundation and other makeup products organized as well. There would be a bar wear I would put my curling irons, and my straightener. There would be a very comfy, fluffy chair I would sit on as I was doing my hair and makeup. The chair would be as fluffy as a polar bear's fur. There would be a greatly beautiful designed rug with baby blue, and gray designs. Next to that a few feet away there would be a glass desk, that I did my homework on. There’d be a jar of pens and pencils, a place for markers and scissors, as well as extra paper for all of my work. As you went farther you would see my vintage gray dresser, with my most favorite perfumes, and my Ocean Breeze deodorant. As well as a lint roller, and a few picture frames with family pictures in it. My alarm clock would be atop my dresser too. As well as my hair brush, and a few decorative things. To the right of my dresser, against my wall would be my bed. It would be a queen sized bed, with a massaging mattress. I would have loads and bulks of different blankets. Some heated, many fluffy, and some silky. I would have around 7 different pillows, and a few stuffed animals, like
north side of the hall was a full bath and long narrow linen closet. Off the west side of the hall was a small bedroom, with a small walk-in closet. Off the south side of the
There was a relaxing feeling coming from the room. The colors were pretty mellow such as the cream-colored walls. Although the room gave off this aura, there was a very elegant tea set in the middle of the room. The wall contained a fireplace while the corner of the room contained a combination of both a bookshelf and a desk. The desk had a pair of golden glasses that belonged to one of the men who lived in the home (I can’t recall exactly who they belonged to). Aside from these things, the room also contained what looked like a very comfortable couch. The guide stated that all of the pieces in the house aside from one fireplace and most of the replicated sales pieces in the General Store.
In Chapters Four and Five of A Room of One 's Own,, the focus on Women & Fiction shifts to a consideration of women writers, both actual writers and ultimately one of the author 's own creation.
The set would consist of a bar, tables and chairs. The walls would be dark, dingy and less vibrant colors. A simple doorway to enter the bar, a pane of glass to view patrons entering or Freddy exiting the bar would be included. The use of the restroom is very prominent too. A doorway for this would be essential in the design. Additional spaces to drop into Suzzane’s room, The Red Bar or Sagot’s antique store would add a visual effect to the story-telling.
living room and see my parent’s suitcases open. They brought the same things that I did, cloths,
Her room looked almost exactly like mine save for the fact that it only took up half of the room, whereas the other half was taken up by Transformer-themed items, like a cartoon Optimus Prime in his robot form rug, dominating the floor - or er, ceiling. That was going to be tricky to remember.
The aesthetic of the short has different variations to convey the different emotions regarding what is happening. First, the scenes that occur in the livingroom have a natural and diffused light, with less saturated colors. The rest of the scenes have the same saturation of color, but there are variations in light. In the scenes of the class, the light is natural and diffused, so we get the audience not to be in tension and enjoy the conversations; In the penultimate scene, in the class, although there is much tension this aesthetic is maintained to convey clarity to the viewer since it is the moment where it is discovered who is the murderer and his accomplice.
The room was not really what I expected space wise, but it was descent enough. Although my mother was quick to say “Wow this room is not big as nothing, you hardly have any room to move around,” but I had in my mind I would make the best of it. The first thing I started unpacking was my personal items, which included my clothes, shoes, jewelry, and sheets. I folded all my jeans and shirts up and placed them in the drawers on my dresser. My dressy clothes were hung in the closet, and my shoes were placed neatly in the closet also. The jewelry, which was only multiple pairs of earrings were placed on top of the dresser. I then put my sheets and comforter on my bed, after I wiped it down with Clorox wipes. After, putting away my personal items I started putting my hygiene items away. I took all my mouth care products and put them in my red shower caddy. When I finished doing that I placed my shower caddy on my dresser. My soap (body wash,) and deodorant was only placed on the top of my dresser, so I could have easy access to it. Lastly, my towels and washcloths were folded neatly and put inside of my
The whole place just gives the best feeling that I have never felt before. It was like a spa place that it is so quiet, yet it feels so magical with candles all over the place and it is sort of dark were you can feel so relaxed once you lay down in this very comfy bed that is covered in white silk covers with fluffy pillows that almost feels like marshmallows. My apartment is filled marvelous paintings by Vincent Van Gogh and with his famous paintings of ‘Starry Night’ and ‘Sunflowers’ and some motivated quotes on the wall. Having these paintings will sure describe my living experience in New York. The painting ‘Starry Night’ shows the meaning of the alluring skyline at night in the city where it has the bright lights from each of the windows of the buildings and how the sky is yet very dark but still see the shade of blue in the sky. Also in the painting it shows a little wind which in New York sort of has at night time a little breeze that can give you slight goose bumps in your arms. The other painting by Vincent Van Gogh ‘Sunflowers’ shows a meaning for me in the summertime in New York where all the flowers bloom up and the bright sun rises up into the city. That feeling when you get up from bed, in the summertime, with a big smile on your face and having to see the people around you with their faces so uplifting. In the center of my living room, I would have this crystal chandelier that is very appealing with white crystals and small diamonds around
In October 1929, at the close of the Feminist Movement, Virginia Woolf published her famous writing, A Room of One’s Own. This feministic extended essay, based on a series of lectures Woolf presented at Newnham College and Girton College, channels Woolf’s thoughts and insights about women and fiction through the character of Mary Benton, who serves as the narrator. Through A Room of One’s Own, Woolf addresses three major points: having money and a room of one’s own (creative freedom), gender roles, and the search for truth. These three themes exist in other short stories such as “The Office” by Alice Munro and “I Stand Here Ironing” by Tillie Olsen, where they reveal themselves in varying degrees.
The room is decent size with two twin size bunks on opposite ends. The hardwood is polished black, grey walls, maroon curtains and the belongings of my roommate. Two desks both equip with desk lamps for night studying. A small fluffy chocolate colored teddy bear is perched on my roomie's satin pillow. It's beady little button eyes watch me with an icy expression.
My room has many characteristics of which I share; it has many pictures that I have taken, about my friends or other interesting things that I have found. It is the only place that I can make my own, I can be creative and decorate
One place that I see every day but don’t put much attention to is my house. The house that I live in is near by a park and a gas station. My house is small and cozy is made of steel frames, the anterior part of the house has a beige and pink color that combine a beautiful shade. The inside of my house has many portraits of family members and drawings. I have a total of two bathrooms and four rooms a kitchen and two living rooms. We have a living room that’s used for grown-ups and the other one is used for the children. The kitchen table and chairs are made of wood, in the ceiling there is big chandelier. The walls of my house are painted in different colors that are green, beige and pink. I like that every room has its own different color, it’s not boring it brings life and shade.
In the corner you can see the fairies and pixies fighting over the pizza i was eating yesterday which is infact my favourite food. The design of the rooms is very unique like everything has been put in a place for a reason. The oldest think i can remember here is the sofa which i bought 2 years ago. I remember when we first bought it, the smile on my face and the arguing between my dad and brother. "Go left, Go left" he would yell. Ahh good times. It used to be clean but the constant food i would eat on it could have changed that. Like most teenagers i have many posters on my walls mostly of role models that I admire, favourite teams and a few cute girls here and there. The most visible thing here is probably the red carpet that covers the bedroom as far as your eyes can see. In the corner of my bedroom is my desk which I normally do all of my homework and assignments, On top of it sat my computer which is always on. My previous desk somehow broke and
During 5th grade year of 2016, almost once every week my parents would go and look for a house. I would remind them everyday that the house we have is great and there is no need to find another. In that house I have lived there at least eight years, which is most of my life so far. Till this day it has always been my favorite house, and the perfect house. I have made so many memories there it is impossible to count. I loved it.
