An afternoon in Thailand was scorching and stuffy with the sun out shining and blindingly beaming. We started the day arriving at our destination set up by our tour guides, but unfortunately, I was unable to enter the royal museum in Bangkok. My mood shifted and was irritable and uncomfortable to be waiting outside in the musty polluted air. The reason for the refusing admission would be the apparel that I was wearing was unsuitable to be entering the museum. I had no choice but to stay outside accompanying my mom and aunt also having the same problem. I watched the other tourists and my family approaching the entrance, leaving me behind. However, we were fortunate enough to find a spot in the shade to sit and wait for their return. Surrounding us were shouts from vendors trying to appeal and promote their items to bypassers. Meanwhile, I found it to be intolerable to be sitting with the humid air and insects crawling around us. In the distance I noticed my cousin coming towards us. As well, she was not allowed to enter and had to come back. Feeling bored, my cousin and I decided to wander around the area. We walked around the sidewalk while the fence guarded the limitations of where we were able to roam freely. My cousin suggested that we enter the gateway to look at the attractions displayed outside in the garden area. At the time I had a weird instinct and was starting to feel off and weary of the idea. I wanted to venture around but was not keen on the suggestion. As I
I’d wanted to make the trip all summer, but Mother and Carlos would never let me go alone and were too busy to take me. Both respected leaders in the community as Twelver Primes of the Henderson Temple, they had eyes everywhere. The fear of getting caught kept me in line, but nothing could keep me from going now.
Williamsburg has a plethora of food, culture, and day to day life. One interesting site is the governor’s palace. The first two men who worked on the palace, both died before seeing the finished product. (Edward Nott and Henry Cary). The governor died four years after, and the architect was prosecuted. The governor’s palace is a clear example of past and present importance, and the motto “that the future may learn from the past” Therefore, The Williamsburg board should pass a commemorative coin for the governor’s palace. This is because the palace was the root of many important interactions; both social, political, and economic.
If there’s something I’ve learned over the years, it’s that modern society is both obnoxious and corrupted at times. People mindlessly what they presume to be ‘right’ and stand by it. When the course of human events become unbearable or even infuriating, there’s always one place I can turn to, 1776’s Independence Hall. The stunning appearance of the building, the people that 1776 depicted so well, and fact that I have an overwhelming love for history made Independence Hall stand out to me. For me, Independence Hall would always hold a dear place in my heart.
Another Boundary is the proposed gate around Arroyo Blanco estates. The Neighborhood is terrified of criminals and outsiders so they debate building a physical gate to their community. At first they are at odds with their humanist beliefs and want to welcome everyone “‘I can't believe what i'm hearing,’ the man said, and his long legged wife nuzzled closer to him, her

THUNK. I tripped on several tree roots throughout the path and realized I was out of my element. There wasn’t that much human activity there either, besides the whooshing sound of cars passing the road nearby or the lone blonde girl that sat along the path. Of course, I avoided talking to other people during my walk because that would ruin the time for self-contemplation. Though, I must admit that I was distracted all around by the tree stumps, beer bottles, spiders, gnats, and rocks on the path. But, despite seeing the red barns and
It was a shining Portland day. Days in Portland were never shiny and never cheery but at that moment the world seemed to be shining down upon the world of coffee shops and bearded men. At the time, I was in an art museum. It was the first time I had been in the one that lived on Portland’s streets and I was excited for a chance to relish and walk amongst the works of art that called the Portland Art Museum their home. Little did I know, even the homes of inanimate pieces of marble and wood and paper have strict rules. As I watched a wreathing elf like jester scream and shout and jump up and down on a constant loop of an old television screen, I was reprimanded. I had not screamed, I had not shouted but I had leaned against a nearly empty wall. This was a crime of the most horrid offense and I was
Today, the weather was very humid and warm outside for mid-October. It was a comfortable temperature outside, so I decided to take my fall jacket off because I did not want to be too hot as I was walking around the market. I’m estimating that it was approximately mid to low 20’s in temperature today, so whenever a breeze arose, it was refreshing because it was pretty warm outside. I decided that today I would take a walk through the dessert sections of the market before going to sit by the outdoor firepit. There were many vendors selling fudge and pastries, so this was something I purchased because I was heading home that afternoon and I thought my family would enjoy these treats. The firepit was not turned on today because it was fairly warm outside, but I still decided to sit in one of the Adirondack chairs surrounding the firepit to take in everything that was happening around me. It was very busy at the market around this time because it was the weekend, and everybody was taking the opportunity to spend time with their families outside on the warm fall day. I also noticed an older man performing a compilation of folk songs on the guitar, and a small group of people huddled around the area listening to him perform. I started to become restless after sitting in the chair for about ten minutes, so I decided to continue walking to one of the buildings at the farmer’s market. Throughout my childhood, my parents would usually take me and my sisters to St. Jacobs Farmers’

It takes up about two inches on my thick, and short middle finger. It is relatively small, yet has been proven to have great importance and meaning. This dented, imperfect circle fits loosely, and comfortably which allows for the constant usage and handling. It has a unique, and undefined shape that compliments the small circles within the accessory. There is a band of a perfect line of small circles that runs infinite in the exact middle of the accessory. The thirteen small circles sit in the small seats of metal all in unison and order. Sharp, pointed tips that look like the top of a vintage castle, pull the pendants on the outsides of the line, up and back down. If you cut the jewel in half, the sides are
The Mona Lisa is undoubtedly the most famous piece of art in the world. Shortly after the paintings’ creation, its’ previously un-accomplished levels of technique and realism attracted widespread adoration. To this day the publics infatuation with the artwork is nothing short of incredible. The painting raises many questions, but has become especially iconic for its association with the shroud of mystery surrounding its creator, Leonardo da Vinci. The mysteries of the Mona Lisa range from seemingly trivial matters such as varying interpretations of her smile, to countless conspiracy theories and their adaptations popularized by Dan Browns’ Novel “The Da Vinci Code”. However, the true mystery, unsolved to this date, is seated within the portraits’ depiction, or rather, the lack of confirmation regarding the who is being depicted. This has long been a heavily-debated topic with theories continuously arising, all in an attempt to solve the seemingly unsolvable. In order to understand and analyze these theories, first the portrait itself and its’ creator must be examined.
The Mona Lisa has to be one of my favorite paintings of all time and has lead me to use this specific painting as a topic for this paper. Not to mention the love I have for Leonardo da Vinci. I, myself have always been drawn to da Vinci’s paintings and all of his other achievements that he has given us during his life. I, like Leonardo da Vinci love art and science just as much as it seems he did. He shares a love of art and a fondness for science. It also seems that he loves a good mystery, and the Mona Lisa just happens to be one clouded in mystery. And I too love a good mystery.
The city has several great theatres and concert halls, including the Palace Theatre right opposite the Palace Hotel.
Society has regressed so far we now have to live in castles with one royal family. The day he world took a turn for the worst. We like to call it the reckoning when some parts of the world froze over and other parts of the world turned to dry desert. A time, where it could be 100 miles until you find a source of water. Even then there isn't that much water left because it has been used so many times by people just like you trying to get water. In addition, as the shells of people who were once alive turned into undead monsters. I am the the youngest of the royal family. My brother is in line to be the king of our land as my parents are getting old and can’t rule because of their mental state. My brothers name is Jarrett Skies. Jarrett is my role model and he is the only person I ever looked up to.
I went to The Art Institute of Chicago on a Thursday when it was free for Illinois resident and when there were different exhibitions going on. There was long line at the entrance near the museum at 6pm in the evening. I went alone because I thought I can have better focus on picking a good art work. I was ready to go through all the magnificent paintings for my art museum paper. As I walked through the museum, there were colorful Indian Modern art exhibited for the occasion. They were big and vibrant. The was also a special exhibition of Tarsila Do Amaral, one of the leading Latin American Modernist artist who paint like Cubism, Futurism and expressionism. Her artworks were childlike in terms of the painting style of objects and people. I was most fond of the modernist and contemporary part of the gallery with painters like Salvador Dali and Francis Bacon. I was fascinated with Salvador Dali’s Venus de Milo with Drawers. The drawers unnaturalistically located on a human body was intriguing. The depth of the human mind and subconsciousness are creatively represented by these drawers on Venus de Milo. Francis bacon’s work Figure with meat was not bad either. Figure with Meat is a disturbing depiction of Pope Innocent X sat in front of a cow carcass cut lengthways in half. (Gould) Like his other painting, the theme is dark and twisted. The carcass is included serve as a direct reminder that death will be at the end await
