I chose to attend LaGuardia Community College because this school was recommended by family members who had attended this college. Many people had told me that I would receive a lot of help with academic advising and other resources. At first, I was hesitant of coming to LaGuardia Community College, but I am happy with my decision. I think I have made the most out of my time at LaGuardia Community College. I have managed to keep my grades up and am a part of Phi Thetta Kappa Honor Society and on the Dean's List for Academic Achievement.
UNC Charlotte has made a significant impact on my undergraduate career because this campus has an abundance of resources, a helpful staff, a diverse atmosphere, and plenty of opportunities for campus involvement. This university has a variety of staff, all of which have been helpful in my college experience. They are excellent about working with students so they can gain the most out of their educational experience. For example, when I have sought out more information on which portion of Spain to go to, so that I may improve my Spanish fluency, my professor was extremely helpful. She sat down with me and explained about what it is like living in Spain, tips for where to go, and what to expect from the different regions. This valuable information
Lees-McRae is a good fit for me because out of all the colleges I have researched, Lees-McRae feels like home. When I first found the college's website, I instantly knew that Lees-McRae encompasses all the values that I think are crucial. Just from the website alone I found a sense of family and coming from a close-knit family of four, I treasure that above anything else. Also, I fell in love with the idea of community. I feel it is important to cherish and be a part of an open community, which I have noticed Lees-McRae provides for all of its students. If I were to attend Lees-McRae I would be active in the community and feel safe inside the family atmosphere. Not to mention, I would thrive in the athletic aspects of the college, the passion
Whatcom Community College nurtured my education and helped me to see my strengths, skills, and abilities. I enjoyed my time as a student there and the diverse people and relationships I built with people I ordinarily would never have met. I felt the professors were knowledgeable, and I liked that they had practical experience and would lend it to the subject. I believe in the inclusion and I love the challenge of working in an environment where many different people come together to solve problems together. I value that Whatcom also helps and offers many different kinds of classes to the community and like that everyone has equal access to education and information.
I chose to attend West Hills College so that I will be close to home. A small college will be great because I believe it will continue to provide a strong sense of community. The aspect of a strong sense of community will work best because it offers a better opportunity of interacting with your college peer. Attending a small college come with many positive outcomes. One of the many positive outcomes it has is that you have the privilege to interact more with the instructor and the students that are in the class. Furthermore being enrolled in a community college for instance West Hills College Coalinga gives you the privilege of making friends. Going into a smaller campus helps students get to their class faster without an exception of getting
My main reasons for wanting to attend Lakeland would have to be that it is close to home, my cousin is attending and has told me many great things about the wide option of classes and opportunities, and to further educate myself on computer science as a whole before picking what part of it I would like to make a career out of. As of the time being, my future career goal is to become either a network administrator or a computer engineer. I love working with my hands and prefer this much more than any sort of computer coding. Another very important goal for me, is to improve my overall knowledge of computers, I find them simply fascinating. Something as simple as sending an application for scholarships that used to take days to week to get delivered,
Even though I had my heart set on Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, I decided that there would be many benefits to starting to off at a community college. I chose Lake Land College to further my education based on three important aspects of my life. Like many other students it has been cost efficient, it allows me to be close to my family, and I was able to keep my job as a hairstylist.
Plenty of different factors effected my decision to come to Catawba. Everything in my life lead me up to this point. First being recruited and coming down to visit the team and watch them play were life deciding moments. Catawba will definitely help define who I am as a person and help me become a better one down the road. Socially, academically, and athletically I am sure Catawba College was the right choice.
Choosing to attend Spelman College as one of many decisions I have to make as a student was an easy task. Ever since I can remember, one of my biggest aspirations was to be accepted to and attend Spelman College. Through the years, Spelman women in my life have demonstrated their commitment to uplifting children, families and the community. Considering that Spelman is a liberal arts college that provides an intimate and nurturing environment, I have no doubt that it will provide the tools I need to be successful.
I enrolled in Odessa College my freshman year of high school. The reason for me doing this was so I could get a head start on my college education. A college education is very valuable to me for many reasons, but mostly it is valuable because I want to have good income and great benefits for my future job. I aspire to become a lawyer, but I may change my career choice. Taking dual credit is not always easy, but I know it will be worth it in the long run.
The main reason I see UCF as one of the best colleges for myself is the campus’s distance away from my home. The UCF campus is within driving distance of where I currently live, allowing me to live in the same house while I attend all my classes each day. Reputation has also always been important to me when looking for a college. If a place does not have a good reputation, I do not see much reason to give it a chance. However, UCF is known as one of the biggest colleges in the US and one of the most successful. I also had two friends attend UCF, one for the exact same major as I plan to go for and one that took a very similar major. Both of them have highly recommended UCF for the major I wish to take. Though having this kind of reputation is nice, I was told multiple times to visit the campus myself because not every college is made for everyone. So, I took a tour of UCF on a school sponsored trip and found everything I had heard to be true. The campus was beautiful and the staff were all very kind. After spending the day on the campus I knew this college, after everything I had heard and where it was located, was the one I wanted to
The college that we picked together was Cal Poly because we felt like it was a good choice on both sides. We think Cal Poly was a the best based on their history, the price to attend, their student body, what they were offering, and on what they represent. We pick cal poly out of many choice and figured that they were the best to go with in the long run.

There are a few reasons why I chose to attend the University of California, Los Angeles: Location, cost, the famous alumni, the historic athletic program, etc., but the main reason I chose UCLA was to obtain a college degree from one of the most prestigious public Universities in the world. Earning a degree is especially important to me because no one in my family (immediate or extended) has ever graduated from college. In fact, only a few members of family my have even taken a college class before – let alone obtained a college degree. Knowing that I could be (will be) the first in my family to not only graduate from college, but to graduate from a college like UCLA, is something that I hold very dear to my heart because of the amount of respect that people have towards this school.
The most important part of choosing the university that was right for me, was knowing that after graduation I would be ready to take on the world. Therefore, making the decision to apply to Syracuse University was not a difficult task. I’m confident that with the great opportunities that are available for the Syracuse alumni I will be able to strive in the competitive environment of the world wherever I decide to pursue my career.
My decision changed on the regular basis, I never really had a set plan although I had visited the University of Cincinnati multiple times and I had traveled around the city and I fell in love with it. I never saw myself moving across the city because of how sheltered I was but I knew that I needed to break away. A day came where I decided to devote time to calculate the costs of each school to see which one would fit my financial budget. I liked how the University of Cincinnati’s tuition was relatively cheaper than my initial top choices. The final straw of making my decision was that the city itself as well as the school was very diverse, which gave me a sense of belonging.
