Democrats VS Republicans 2016 How well do you know the candidate you’re voting for, could they destroy our country? There are two groups that make it to the ballot, Democrats and Republicans. The Democrat candidates are Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. The Republican candidates are Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and John Kasich. Every candidate has things you might disagree with but they might have things you like, you should vote on the one you think is the lesser of two evils based on them and not a bias opinion. I took the time to find where they stand on three topics, immigrants, abortion, and guns. There are many more issues that they stand, I just want to give you a general idea so you can vote when you’re educated on the topic. Here are the candidates and where each individual stands. Hillary Clinton is a democrat. She want to make it so that immigrants can continue staying here, according to this quote "I 'll end family detention, close private immigrant detention centers.” by closing the centers that accuse them of being here illegally. "As president, I 'll stand up for Planned Parenthood and women’s access to critical health services, including safe, legal abortion." according to this quote she is pro-abortion. The same source says, "I 'll take on the gun lobby and fight for commonsense reforms." this is stating that she doesn’t want to make guns illegal she just wants to make them harder to get so that they can’t fall into the wrong hands. Based on these issues
For many decades, one woman has impacted American politics in multiple ways. From being a senator, a first lady, and even secretary of state, Hilary Clinton has fought hard for her beliefs. Like child care, gun control, and bettering the economy, she has always taken pride on her platforms and making American citizens’ lives better, and not only for the wealthy. Unlike her opponent, Donald Trump, Clinton has a political history to look back on. There are multitudes of Trump and his history like him filing for bankruptcy on more than one occasion.
Hillary believes we need a full immigration reform with a path to equal and full citizenship. Also, she has stated that immigrants are necessary for our economy.
Hillary Clinton claims that she plans to decrease taxes for lower income people, yet she supports Barack Obama’s open immigration policy. Many immigrants do contribute in paying taxes, however it has been shown that many undocumented immigrant’s refuse to
She is willing to take action on this situation with a gun lobby, going for reforms, banning guns from terrorists. “I’m running for president to protect our families and communities from the plague of gun violence,” she told the crowd. Clinton strongly supports comprehensive background checks. Hillary’s overall goal is to reduce the number of guns going into the wrong hands, considering that it’s beginning to be the leading cause of death of many young African American men.
Hillary will fight to improve existing law prohibiting persons suffering from severe mental illness from purchasing or possessing a gun. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives should finalize its rulemaking to close loopholes in our laws and clarify that people involuntarily committed to outpatient treatment, such as the Virginia Tech shooter, are prohibited from buying guns. Keep military-style weapons off our streets. Military-style assault weapons do not belong on our streets. They are a danger to law enforcement and to our communities. Hillary will work to keep assault weapons off our streets and supports reinstating the assault weapons
With the rise in unemployment and terrorism, allowing illegal aliens to cross borders without proper documentation is debated more than ever before. Trump’s idea to solve these problems is to build a Wall along the Mexican border and make Mexico pay for it. He also wants to deport all “criminal” aliens that would be considered a threat to the United States. Clinton, on the other hand, supports the DREAM act and put forth a path to legalize undocumented aliens. She has strongly opposed Trump’s idea of building a wall saying that it would separate the countries other than bring them closer together. Clinton also wants to help refugees from countries that are overturned by civil war and jihadist radicals.
The two system to me is the Republicans are more old school against gay marriages, abortions and believe it should be a man and woman as husband and wife. The Democrats are the more new school which they basically believe in letting people be who they are and make their own decisions. I support democrats because although I personally wouldn’t marry another or have an abortion if America is the land of the free, why can’t people do what they want with their lives and bodies. Just because I’m more traditional doesn’t mean everyone must be. I know people who have had an abortion and I don’t see them as people it was their choice and sometimes people like to plan things out when it comes to pregnancy and childbirth. I have a gay brother who dresses like a woman and I don’t get upset I’m pretty much like it’s not for me.
Hillary Clinton’s platform includes different issues that the United States has always dealt with. In the article “Combating Terrorism and Keeping the Homeland Safe,” Hillary Clinton focuses on restricting the use of weapons for terrorist in the United States:
Which includes solving the issue with visa delays, protecting the national security and borders, and includes undocumented people in the economy (Immigration Reform). Therefore, if congress does not fix the comprehensive reform of immigration, then Hillary has a plan. I believe that the immigration reform needs to be modified. Citizenship as a result equals more opportunities for undocumented people in the United States. I agree with Clinton, the visa issue needs to be confronted. Undocumented people decide to risk their lives because they are tired of waiting for a visa. In addition causing families to be torn apart because parents of undocumented families are the first to go. Hillary Clinton wants families to stay united by creating a system for parents of Dreamers and supporting a deferred action plan. I support that because my parents, if not for their permanent residency would be in that position of being deported. I believe Clinton when she promises to bring those people into the formal economy. There are undocumented people who pay taxes and own a home, yet they do not contribute to the economy. It is unfair for undocumented people to work low waged jobs, without a doubt they have the skills and determination for higher waged jobs. Undocumented people believe there is hope for a new life, safe
Many American’s were surprised with the results of the 2016 Presidential Election. With Clinton predicted to win with more than seventy percent of the votes, so many Americans were upset or troubled to wake up to Donald Trump as their new president-elect. After the results of the election, violence has broken out throughout the country, mainly targeted at minorities. With the country in an uproar, one may think, how does this sort of situation happen? One could blame the media for this lack of information or surprise outcome of the election. The media has changed this election from the way we view our candidates to who we predicted to win through social media, journalistic bias and people’s internal filter.
Hilary Clinton also has three principles, “Enact a comprehensive immigration reform to create pathways to citizenship, keep families together, and enable millions of immigrant workers to come out of the shadows.” Second, “End family detention and close private detention centers.” Finally, “Defend President Obamas executive action to provide deportation relief for dreamers and parents of these born in the United States and lawful residents and extend those actions to additional persons with sympathetic cases if congress refuses to act.”
The Christian Science Monitor, 2013. Web. 18 Nov. 2016.) and one of our major political issues revolves around immigration. One of the major issues right now is about Muslim immigrants being banned from entering the country until the government improves its ability to screen out potential terrorists. We can again see that Donald Trump continues to discriminate people by saying " there should be a complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States"(Donald Trump: Ban All Muslim Travel to U.S." CNN. Cable News Network, n.d. Web. 18 Nov. 2016) on the contrary Hillary says she disagrees with Donald Trump and many others who agree with him. Hillary responds to trumps views on this topic by saying that " He’s taking aim at our countries values. Our country was founded by people fleeing religious persecution. The notion that here, people are free to practice their faith " (The 2016 Presidential Candidate’s Political Stances." ISideWith. N.p., n.d. Web. 18 Nov. 2016). This is another reason why Hillary is a better candidate then Donald Trump. She protects our values and doesn't remove them from
First, as a new Democratic nominee running for President their economic positions are made clear. To reach the goals that Democrats want for our country 's economy, Democrats have made it their priority to cut taxes for working families and tax the rich more in tax increases. They also provide help for small businesses and homeowners. The Democratic Party is also trying to make college available for free for all Americans as well as removing companies that produce their products overseas and bringing them in the United States. “Hillary Clinton and Democrats will make certain we build and economy works for everyone, not just those at the top.”
There are many different ways in which one can organize the events of world history. As world history is extremely individual in nature, based on the author of the textbook’s point of view or who the history documents were written by (often the winners) the fact that there are so many variations of organization is understandable. By using six periods to split up twenty-three chapters, Nelson and Strayer show that all periods of time are important, not just the more modern times, where the stress of other history sources such as World History For Us All and Worlds Together, Worlds Apart (another College Board approved AP textbook) is primarily placed. The allocation of the chapters per period allows them to provide more information for the topics that more information is available about while still maintaining relatively equal stress on all periods of world history.
How would it sound to take a bunch of medication that will alter your body chemistry against your will? Not enjoyable. That is what is happening to thousands, if not millions, of aquatic species. Pharmaceuticals are being disposed of in ways such as flushing them down toilets which transport them into waterways. There is not a filtration system in place to remove pharmaceuticals and they are even finding their way back into the drinking water of humans. There are no proper disposal systems implicated worldwide and it is causing the genetic makeup of animals to be changed as the chemicals leak into their homes.
