What Do Heroes do? The question most of us want an answer to. First off Heroes are people that will help other. Like therapist help people and doctors help people. Today we will be focusing on a person who has thought me a lot about drug and what they can do. Mr. Novak was my drug teacher in 5th grade. Mr. Novak would come in once a week and he would tell us not to do drugs. But not in a regular like parents would explain. Mr. Novak explained it like it was a job. He told my and my class that drugs can get you into tough situations. Drugs can make you do things that you will regret later on. For example, if someone takes drugs and they kill someone. They are going to be in jail or even be sentenced to death. He also taught us about CHS. He
When one thinks of heroes, names such as Ghandi, Martin Luther King, and Mother Theresa often come to mind. These people had done a lot of favors, courage, helps, and more of things for the people who needed them. The true definition of hero is a man of distinguished valor. Bravery, courage, intrepidity, boldness, daring, and prowess in war are a hero’s characteristics. However a hero is understood to be different to everyone. Upon closer examination, many different qualities than these become apparent. The definition of heroism changes with the context and time. Heroes of the past are not necessarily heroes of present time and vise versa. A person can be a hero for saving the life of one or of millions.
The word hero can mean whatever a person wants it to mean. Many people define a role model or person they think is a hero out of their occupations. However, a person does not become a hero because of their occupation or what they do that we envy. A hero is a person who takes a bold step or achievement that requires courage, bravery and a kind heart to do it, and the act is normally done for others.
Joseph Campbell once said “ A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself”. Being a hero doesn't necessarily mean you are the strongest or the fastest, it can simply mean you put others before yourself. Being heroic can have many different attributes ,but in my eyes a hero reflects characteristics of selflessness, courage and nobleness.
Everyone has different opinions on what it means to be a hero and what it takes. The literal definition of a hero is “a person who is greatly admired” (Merriam-Webster Dictionary), and some people may agree with that. Others think that it takes more or different qualities to be a hero. Among these qualities are bravery, kindness, selflessness, determination, hope, and confidence. Those are just a few among many more traits. Qualities like those are found in many people, from the heroes written about in fiction, to the people who live in towns across the world. By saying this, it’s true that everyday people can be heroes, given the right time and place.
What makes you a hero? “A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself...” (Joseph Campbell). What defines a hero means so many things, but more specifically, what does one mean to you? A hero is someone who puts other before themselves.
What is a Hero. A question that is asked very often. How do we really know the answer when there can be so many different and true definitions. There could be as many definitions of heros as there are people on this earth. To me, a hero is defined as someone who goes above and beyond, not even expecting a reward or recognition. For our English 9 class, we were asked to choose a hero, someone who inspires us. My hero is you my sister. You are my inspiration for just about everything I do. You meet all the hero requirements and more.
An expectation of a hero can be determined in countless ways, but they are “someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself.” (Joseph Campbell) They always secure their surroundings to be safe and free of nefarious actions. They protect and heal all the ones who have gone through or done harm. Heroes never let fear stride into their way. A hero is someone who has courage, bravery, devotion, strength, and justice.
Heroes are not people in comic books or movies. Heroes are people who protect the innocent and punish the guilty. They are all around us, but we do not always recognize them. We do not appreciate the sacrifices they make in able to keep us safe. Look at police officers always taking time from their families, working to keep the rest of us out of harm’s way. There are military officers deployed to help other countries in need and help them fight their enemies. Due to these brave actions, we are a strong and independent country. Heroes must possess imperative qualities that define them as above average such as humbleness, courage, and tenacity
“Timmy do you have a pencil? Timmy replies oh course here you go!” “Oh my gosh, you are my hero, thank you!” The word “hero” in today’s language has not been used correctly. A hero is not just someone who gives you a pencil or someone who just has some super powers. Some people today that come to mind when talking about a hero are, Marc Gold and Doc Hendley.
Heroes don't always wear capes. When you're a hero you should be trusted by with whatever you're doing or whoever you're with or heping. You should also be strong. When you’re a hero, you should be strong with everything. You may struggle, but in the end you are still helping everyone you can. A hero should be able to do something as simple as telling truth. They should be telling the truth so matter what even if you're very close with them. A hero is defined by being trustworthy, strong, and honest.
There are many types of heroes (such as the ones in comic books, myths, movies, or even just everyday life heroes) but all of them have perseverance when they’re going through a conflict. Heroes are role models and they’re people that we look up too. They all have unique and special qualities that make one another different from each other. For example policemen battle crime everyday and when they’re overcoming a conflict they have determination, courage and other traits that people admire them for and that make them as a hero. Typically a hero is admired for their achievement/actions and qualities.
What is a hero to you in your eyes? A hero to me in my eyes is someone like a soldier or a veteran who has sacrificed everything for us to keep us safe. A hero is also someone who has deep motivation to keep themselves and their family safe throughout the battle. A hero is someone who is brave, strong, kind, giving and caring. Heroes are people who always want to help with things and make sure things are good for people and themselves.
In literature and movies, heroes are perceived to be someone who is strong, smart, and good looking.
“ I think a hero is any person really intent on making this a better place for all people” (Maya Angelou). There are many heroes in many different cultures. Many people believe there are heroes around the world. Here is an example of a hero from a movie. In the Hungry Games, Katniss steps up for her little sister Primrose when she gets picked out of the bowl to fight in the hungry games. That is a heroic thing to do because she does not want her sister to die. We can learn about many heroes by reading books. There are many places people can go and visit to learn about heroes. There are many different heroes depending on your definition of a hero. My definition of a hero is a person who is brave enough to fight for the things that are wrong but need to be right.
What are heroes? Well, today in our strong society, we think of heroes as super beings who save the entire world from massive destruction. Although, these types of heroes would be enjoyable to have, we forget that these superheroes are just mere fictional characters played by big film stars. Now, let’s go back to our original question with a slight change to it: What are real heroes? Think long and hard about this question and run a few answers through your head. Well, if you don’t know the correct answer, then just picture a human being who is just as normal as you. This person works at a certain job different from you, or maybe the same as yours, and comes home to a family or is just single. But then one day this person does something valorous in order to save lives or a life.
