Everyone knows that you must work hard to achieve a goal. Some may know that the recipe for success is to try your hardest, but in all, there are three main points. In all, the recipe for success for someone to achieve their goal, includes them to work hard, have a good mindset, and set goals for themselves. To achieve success, you need to be able to work hard all the time, even when things get hard, and you want to quit. In the article “Dedicated to the Goal” by Marty Kamisky, Kamisky says that she wants to play soccer and she is the best in the league. Kamisky says "She searched the neighborhood for tougher challenges, playing anyone who was willing" (8). This means that, if something gets hard, always just keep pushing and looking for harder …show more content…
Likmans says, “The band perfectly transitions in and out of its formations and corrects all the mistakes Waters and Hoch pointed out throughout the week.” (62) In other words, Likaman says that if you practice, practice, practice, you can accomplish the harder goals. All in all, if you work hard, you can accomplish harder goals instead of picking the easy ones. Secondly, in order to be successful, you have to set a good mindset. Kaminsky says "Endurance, mental toughness, and determination are now her strengths" (13). This shows that, in order to be successful, you want to have determination and know your own strengths and weaknesses. In the article, “How to get back on the horse” by Rebecca Zucker, Zucker says “When you cultivate and build resilience, you gain the ability to bounce back and try again with more experience and wisdom.” (2) This shows that, you need to be able to get up and try again when things get tough and to not give up. In conclusion, you need to have a good mindset in order to find the recipe for success. Lastly, in order to find the recipe for success, it is to set a goal you know you can
Over the years, playing soccer has taught me what it takes to succeed. From months of tough practices, I have gained a hard work ethic. From my coaches and fellow teammates, I have learned to work well with others in a group, as it is necessary to cooperate with teammates on the playing field. But most important, I have also gained self-confidence. If I fail, it doesn't' t matter if they mock or ridicule me; I will simply try again and do it better. I realize that it is necessary to risk failure in order to gain success. The
The ability to never give up is probably the most important thing you can master in your life, because it is such a good tool you can use if you’re trying to push through something without failing. Football is a game of inches and you can’t afford to give up on your teammates at all times, especially if you’re the heart of the team. Your teammates are going to rely on you when it gets rough out on the field and you have to be there to assure them, so that they can thrive to not only help themselves, but to help out the whole entire team. There is always someone out there that is working harder than you to achieve more in life and that is not acceptable on any given level because you should want it more than them, but in order to work harder
Goals, for some people it can be being under the Friday Night lights, or being on the court, shooting the winning basket for your team. Regardless of what your goal is, it usually takes a lot of time, hard-work and effort to get there. It requires a lot of falling down in order to get better and come back up that much stronger. For some, it comes easy, their talent or skill is inept or they are a natural at whatever it is that they are doing. For others, their skill is challenging for them, or they have to work at is constantly to maintain or better themselves in the skill. Nevertheless a goal is something that anybody, whether it is an athlete, student, or musician, will work at tirelessly to reach. For me, it was getting to ILMEA All-State during my high school career.
The coach of the 1980´s Olympic hockey team Herb Brooks told others ¨Let me start with issuing you a challenge: be better than you are. Set a goal that seems unattainable, and when you reach that goal set another one even higher¨. Every journey starts with a goal and a journey to that goal helps improve many parts of ourselves. Like a growing business the closer it gets to the owner´s goal the products will become more and more detailed.
Great goals are well-defined and focused. “Obtain two new billion dollar corporate clients in the Boston property insurance market” is more meaningful to mobilize your team than “Get more business.” Ryan Blair, The Goals Guy eloquently states,"Focus creates a powerful force: goal power. The moment you focus on a goal, your goal becomes a magnet, pulling you and your resources toward it. The more focused your energies, the more power you
The three factors that I would attribute my success thus far to are my grit, mindset, and work-ethics. My grit attributes to me not wanting or allowing myself to fail by letting me do everything humanly possible to succeed. My mindset allow me to stay focus and achieve my goals and not be shaken by any doubt. My work-ethics is my resolve and, it allows to hold more doubts in my work which in turn strengthen my firm mindset. Both, my mindset and work-ethics gives me a reason to have grit to stay determined on my path to becoming an excellent student and achieve my college and career goals.
Some people believe that dedication, persistence, and time people can accomplish any goal. Everyone should have goals when striving to achieve a specific task. Goal setting is used by top level athletes, successful business man, and achievers in all fields. A wise athlete once said, “Without time and effort put towards ones goal for the sport, you are nearly wasting your time and your teams time and you will never achieve ones goal for that
Firstly, if they stay dedicated they can meet their goal. Being dedicated is very big in meeting a goal. Some people are dedicated to get into a good college. Also people graduate high school by having dedication to finish what they started. If someone is trying to get better at football and they only go and practice once a month they are not going to
The other stuff? That stuff is irrelevant. Focus on your target and you’ll do much better, I promise. Someday, you’ll get there. It’s not going to get easier, you’re just going to get better.” he says after he retrieves the ball himself. I set the ball down and shut my eyes. I looked at the top right corner and focused on that exactly. The ball was wide again. How could I have missed? I did what I was told and somehow I was wide yet another time. I stayed at the school yard for hours that day, aiming for that same corner every time, but to no avail. Someday, I did curve it into that haunting corner. It wasn’t luck, but determination. It didn’t get easier, I just got better, just like my dad said I would. Even today, nearly 6 long years later, I can still hear his words echoing as if that monumental Tuesday afternoon was just yesterday. In my times of distress, I simply focus on my target and blur everything else out because nothing else is relevant. I may not achieve my goals the first time, but I will always try again. After all, it won’t get easier, but I will get better. My ultimate aspiration in life is the back of the opposing team’s net. To me, free kicks are easy opportunities I may get somewhere down the
You can’t just close yourself off to the idea that you could be successful because it is so attainable for anyone. You need to have the right mind to do it. You will never succeed if you don't believe in yourself. By having a Growth Mindset, Grit, and being able to ask Strong Questions you will be able to succeed. A Growth Mindset is when you believe
There are many factors that play a very important part in our lives. Consistent practice, a growth mind-set, and supportive mentors light up the road that leads us to success. If someone practice for hours, but does not have a growth mind-set or supportive mentors, then it is next to impossible to accomplish his goal. And if another one has a growth mind-set, but does not practice or has someone to support him, then he can not make it to the end. Thus, all of these factors complete each other to pave the road of success. Practicing for hours makes us better at doing that thing. Having a growth mind-set helps us improve ourselves. The supportive mentors give us the strength to make it through the bad times. High achievers are not naturally gifted, but they had all the factors that helped them be where they are now. Their hard work paid off nicely at the
I think of success as four key parts mindset, focus, dedication, and discipline. Mindset is the major part compared to the other three parts. You have to strive to be successful, and believe you can be successful and then do whatever it takes to reach that goal. Every successful person has the mindset of they are going to reach their goal. Yes, they run into problems along the way, but instead of using their time worrying about it, they simply find a way to put it behind them and keep their goals in mind.
It's all about staying focused! The road to success is long, tiring, and painful and lots of time you just want to give up and quite but you have to stay focused on the main prize and think about your goal you are chasing.
“The ones who say “you can’t” and “you won’t” are probably the ones who are afraid that you will.” (MGQ) During my entire life, there was always someone who did not want to see me excel in life. They were always hoping for the negative outcomes instead of pushing me to keep going. They always tell me that “you can’t” or “you won’t”, but they never motivated me to go for something worth trying! When I was little I always dreamed of being a softball player. I thought the red clay, the helmet hair, the scars, the bruises, and the sisterly love bond was what I wanted to be a part of. I would walk around throwing everything, running and sliding as if I was on a field. Motivation and inspiration comes from the positive ones around you. Throughout my younger days and to this day, Natasha Watley has inspired me to be who I am today. She has experienced a life comparable to my own, therefore she could pass her positive inspiration down to those like me. This is why I continuously try my best. Giving up is never an option.
The first step of success is organization.Organization is a very important part of the process leading to success. Therefore, without it you cannot achieve anything. You have to organize your life. By organizing your life it means that you know what you want, you do not get distracted, you have good relations with everybody. This part is very important in the organization step because if you do not have an organize and stable life, it will affect your education. For example, I have a friend who failed his exam because of the problems he had with his girlfriend. After that failure, he decided to forget all and focus on his studies. He got better and passed his exam. The second part of the organization step is the planning. To succeed, you have to have a good use of your time, make sure you do everything you have to do and do not forget anything. For that, you have
