During the course of our lives, we will all be faced with obstacles. Some may be small, such as losing your car keys. Others may be large, like losing your job. However, if you approach all obstacles with an ambitious attitude, and resilience, as opposed to just whining, moping, and becoming depressed about it, they can be much more easily overcame (Harrington, 2012).
For example, let’s say your dog dies. You’re first instinct would probably be to cry, or be upset. However, if you spend too long crying, and being depressed, you’re dog is going to start to smell. Instead, you should realize the situation is now out of your hands, nothing can be done about it, and find a way to move forward.
You could start by digging a hole in your backyard (if you’re from the country such as me) to bury your beloved dog, before he starts to stink up the place. If he meant a lot to you, maybe throw some of his favorite toys in with him, say a few words, and place a marker or some flowers on top of the burial site. If you need a little time to mourn, now would be the time to do it, after you’ve taken care of business.

Maybe a more well behaved dog, or one who is better potty-trained. Before you know it, you’ll fall in love with your new dog, and their attributes. Ideally, you’ll forget about the last one, and wonder how you ever lived without your new and improved one. Similar to when you go through a
August 27th, Sometimes you just to need to know the facts, and at other times, you will need to put on your best act.
With a large dog, you have to dedicate more time to it than a small dog. You have to walk it more, feed more food, and give it more love. An animal is a great thing to have when you struggle with challenges; it causes you to become happier; you can always depend on it; and they make you focus on something other than your
In all the years I’ve been involved in running, I am quite confident that I’ve never heard anyone admit that when they were a youngster they wanted to grow up to be a distance runner.
Dogs are really energetic and are crazy if they never get walks or if they are always in their kennel. They need lots of exercise so that's why a collar and leash is required. It's a lot easier when you walk your dog, because then it will start barking loud and it can get disturbing. At least walk your dog two hours a week. Poop
“You are the only person that you should rely on.” My mom said it best, because of her this was my 10 year old mentality. Independence is a huge factor in my household, my mom always taught me that eventually she won’t be there to protect me. Raised by a strong single mother, I was taught that when you depend on others you lose your sense of pride and sovereignty. When you learn to stand on your own two feet and take care of what you are accounted for, you see the world for what it really is. Although you may face obstacles, it is important to remember that it is not the end. Obstacles do not block ones path, rather they are the course to prosperity.
Obstacles. What are they? Obstacles are every day little things, big or small. An obstacle could be getting up in the morning, going to school or work, homework, making dinner, or maybe training for a marathon. We may not realize it, but we face some type of obstacle every day. Different people experience different obstacles, for some people a really difficult obstacle can be easy for others and vise versa. Everyone handles their obstacles in life differently. Overcoming an obstacle can feel very refreshing because we accomplished something, and who doesn’t love that feeling of achieving something? An obstacle i’m pretty sure we’ve all faced is trying to walk when we were babies. We always see those adorable videos of baby giraffes , cows, or deers trying to stand up right after they’re born, they struggle to stand on their own and their legs shake because they can’t hold the weight. But eventually they’re walking and running all over the place. Even though they are animals they don’t get up because they are determined to stand. If people don’t have the determination to
I was five when we got our first dog, he was a black and white Border Collie. His name was Tim. Tim was such a beautiful dog, he was one of the really peaceful ones that give parents confidence, and a sense of trust, to let them hang around children. He wouldn’t hurt a fly. I can’t remember much from when I was five, but I remember Tim. I remember his fleecy fur that just made you want to cuddle him. Sadly all good things come to an end. I was only nine, I thought he’d live forever. I didn’t know how feel, no pet could replace Tim. That’s when we decided as a family to get a new dog.
During my 18 years of life, I have faced many obstacles, both internal and external. I have learned that the internal ones can be the hardest, because most of the times we have to learn to heal ourselves on our own. One of my biggest obstacles was trying not to lose myself in the midst of the chaos, drama, and depression around me.
In my life I have faced many obstacles. There has been times when I was unsure about how I was going to handle a situation and how I was going to move on from it. Although some obstacles may be abominable, I am a firm believer of "everything happens for a reason". If God brings you to it, he will help you get through it.
The lessons we take from obstacle we encounter can be fundamental to later success. We always are faced with challenges but the only way to overcome them is if we face them head on. Something that challenges me everyday is my sister. My sister was diagnosed with Epilepsy in early June of 2016. My family has to deal with this everyday for the rest of our lives.
And so on. The point is that opportunity coming from having to deal with obstacles is not a new concept. Humans have known it to be a fact for millennia. The Stoics firmly believed that you must take the obstacles in your life and turn them to your advantage, controlling what you can and accepting what you can’t. Not easy by any means, but eminently doable. We all have the ability to flip obstacles into opportunity but sadly, we all don’t tap into it. We choose how we look at things, so it makes sense that how we approach problems in our lives determines how tricky they will be to overcome. By controlling irrational emotion, we see things as they are, not as they seem. And then we are able to take the negative (obstacle) and turn it into an
And last but not least, the dog will have short hair, so no shedding, and not much grooming.
Everyone faces obstacles one time in their lives, how may we overcome those obstacles? Well, growing up in a small-town name Belle Glade, FL with a single parent of four. Education plays a big role throughout our household. Growing up seeing people getting shot and killed in front of your eyes can be a hard burden on your chest. No one wouldn’t want to experience death or death situations, and struggling at a very young age. Our community receives petite amount of help from the government. Growing up with a single parent was tough, watching your mom struggling to pay the light bill or water bill. My mother did anything it takes to keep a roof over our head to make sure we were harmless. My grandmother and aunts made me the man I am today. Of course, it was
Someone once said “Do what is right, not what is easy.” This quote means that when you do something that is harder than what you normally do you could possibly learn something new. When you learn things like maybe rocket science or a sport that you never thought you would good at you could start a whole new chapter in your life.
Have you ever been scared to accomplish a challenge? I'm going to be talking about the time when I accomplished one of the challenges that I have always wanted to learn how to do. Some people that were involved or a whiteness of my accomplishment was my sister named Malina and my little cousin named Mazzy .
