Manifest Destiny is America's expanding from east to west and whites believed this is what God ordained them to achieve. Along with Manifest Destiny many believed that slavery was a good thing and many disagreed. As we gained more territory and expanded into the west our country was divided over this conflict, whether added states should be free or slave states. Manifest Destiny heavily influenced our sectional conflict over slavery in politics and geography in the United States.

The impact of Manifest Destiny on the U.S. was beneficial. Manifest Destiny helped expand territory, liberty, and democracy which helped the United States expand its rights and power. This movement towards the West helped also show other countries not to mess with them as the U.S. would go to war with anyone such as Europeans if they tried to interfere with the expansion of the United States. This showed Europe not to mess with the U.S. Another thing that helped the U.S was the advertisement of Nebraska which tried to get people to buy land there which helped the economy.

The Manifest Destiny showed the hatred of the United States (US) for every other terrain that was not their own. The US used the 19th century period of American Expansion that was destined to stretch from coast to coast. The preowned way of the attitude prevalent fired up disasters, War with Mexico broke out and harsh removal of the Native Americans. O’Sullivan declared, ‘Our manifest destiny to overspread the continent allotted by Providence for the free development of our yearly multiplying millions.’ This recitation guided many Republican supporters. Manifest destiny is an extensively held faith mainly by the United States that it was their own found destiny to expand and own the territory of North America.

In 1845 John O’sullivan created the phrase Manifest Destiny. This was America's fate to settle land all the way to the Pacific to spread Democracy and Liberty. Once this this idea was brought up, people have been inspired to move west. In 1840 people felt they needed to take more land. Though some americans thought other people lived in these lands, the move to the west was still a success.This brought devastating affects to the Native Americans and Mexicans. Manifest Destiny affected the Native American tribes, Mexico, and the United States.

Manifest Destiny means clear or obvious future or fate, therefore; the United States believed that it was their Manifest Destiny to expand Westward and to gain more land, this is how they came to war with Mexico. The expansion westward/ Manifest Destiny would change their standings economically, socially, and geographically. It changed them economically by making them money by working different jobs, mainly in factories, it changed them socially by having different views than Mexico; which made them develop new laws, and government it changed them geographically because of more and more land was being farmed, factories being built.

Manifest Destiny was the act of expanding west to settle and gain more land. Some of the people of America believed that God told them to expand westward so they would have land from coast to coast. They also wanted to expand westward, because the population of America was growing and they would eventually not have enough land for more people. This lead to many positives and negatives like the Mexican/American war and the Louisiana Purchase.

Americans wanted to head west, this mindset was given the name of “Manifest Destiny” by John O’Sullivan. Manifest Destiny was a term that was prevalent during the 19th century. It expressed the belief that America’s mission was to expand their civilization across North America; this expansion would create liberty and economic progress through territorial gain. President Jefferson, Madison and Monroe, all collectively believed in the Jeffersonian’s mindset, these presidents encouraged such movement; they actively thought that it was best for the United States to expand coast to coast. This expansion created a cultural war. Manifest destiny affected the United States’ relationship with others such as Mexico and the Amerindian Indians because of the way they treated these individuals to gain land from them.

Subsequent to the political, social, and economical changes that occurred because of the "Manifest Destiny", the lives of the Native Americans had been changed forever. " Manifest Destiny is a term for the attitude prevalent during the 19th century period of American expansion that the United States not only could, but was destined to, stretch from coast to coast." (Manifest Destiny). This attitude encouraged the United States to begin to build settlements westward, which resulted in the removal of Native Americans. It deprived them of their land, and in some ways, their independence; they were faced with inequality and were forced to fight with the Americans. "

While some were driven on what they believe was God’s will others saw Manifest Destiny as the historical inevitability domination of North America from sea to sea. Before, manifest destiny, many Americans had small families not by choice, but for the mere fact that many of the people would die before they would reach forty. By the mid 1800’s technology began to rise, and the life span for many Americans increased. The U.S. population grew from more than 5 million in 1800 to more than 23 million by the mid century. By the increasing of families in town many of the towns became overcrowded. At this point many Americans looked to the west for possible permanent homes.

“In 1845, John L. O 'Sullivan, a newspaper reporter in New York City, coined the phrase "manifest destiny." O 'Sullivan claimed that it was the God-given destiny of the United States of America to spread over North America. These few words have caused a lot of trouble and a lot of good. Manifest Destiny has had a huge effect on North America some of the events caused have been positive, but manifest destiny has been used to promote racial superiority over all nonwhite races living in areas desired by Americans, and was used to defended the reasons for going west.

Manifest Destiny was a popular way of thinking when it came to moving westward of the United States. The settlers and travelers who ended up staying in western lands claimed that Americans had a God-given right to increase the size of their country. While Manifest Destiny may have worked when it came to moving to new lands west of the modern-day East United States region, it created a new set of problems that divided Americans.

This phrase was created and first use by New York journalist John Louis O’Sullivan to address the scandal that cause the expansion of the United States, annexing Texas and it habitants. Texas annexation cause such dispute in-between the United States population. The dispute was cause by the disagreement of the expansion, and the problems that came along. The ones against expanding territory argue that there would be afterward problems; which, could affect the United States ruling system and population increase and diversity. On the other hand, the ones in favor saw the benefit of obtaining territory and population.

A way in which the leaders of the expansion justified what they were doing was by phrase known as Manifest Destiny. Manifest Density was a term used as the United States expanded, and it meant that we thought land west of us rightfully belonged to us. The United States wanted greater control of the lands from the Atlantic to the Pacific, and the political parties found a way to make this possible. The United States fought in many ways to receive the land that is now part of the country. Without Manifest Destiny, the United States would never have the ideology that created American history. God put the land there for the taking, and so the immigrants answered His call with westward expansion. My belief is that Manifest destiny was a necessary evil. The idea of manifest destiny expanded the west and provided homes and jobs. but on the other side of the coin manifest destiny ran the Native Americans out of their land and kept pushing them further and further west.
