Growing up on the Nolichucky River in Tennessee he was a very well equipped hunter.Although his parents were poor as he was growing up that didn't stop him from being who he wanted to be.As a child david did not listen that well,as he ran away at the age of 12 years old,because of the fact he didn't want to go to school.By the time davy was 12 his parents had moved three time,all because of the western settlements
David, “Davy,” Crockett, also known as the, “King of the Wild Frontier,” was born August 17, 1786 in Greene County, Tennessee. He was one of nine children born to a family who followed the movement of western settlement. As a young boy, around eight years old, his father taught him to shoot a rifle and he eagerly accompanied his brothers on hunting trips. At the age of thirteen his father insisted that he enroll in school but only after a few days he got into an altercation with a bully and ran away for fear of punishment from his father. Davy spent three years wandering and perfecting his skills as a woodsman discovering life in the wilderness was difficult. While traveling through Virginia, Crockett decided to learn to read, write and cypher numbers for fear that his lack of education would limit his marriage possibilities. When Davy was eight he wanted to hunt for his family so his father gave him a long rifle and one bullet every day if he shot an animal they would eat it for dinner if he missed he would have to try again the next day. One day Davy's Dad hired him to someone because he was debt and Davy had to work to help pay and Davy did not want to leave so he ran away from home. latter he got married,had kids then Davy joined the army. The war was against the indians later on Davy would rather trade with the indians not kill them. Then he joined the Texas army to fight in the Alamo war. He died on March 6 1836 fighting in the Alamo.
After being sued by settlers in Kentucky Daniel Boone moved to Point Pleasant in what is now West Virginia. He served as a lieutenant colonel and legislative of his county. After serving in those two positions he moved to Missouri where he settled in Femme Osage valley where he continue to roam and hunt until he died on September 26, 1820. He was born to a pioneer family. Davy also got enlisted in the Tennessee militia. He gained a reputation because he hunted and also did a lot of storytelling.
James Bowie was an example of the true American spirit, because he is an American hero. James Bowie was born in Kentucky. He later went to Texas. There he joined the Texas militia and ended up fighting the battle of the Alamo. He held the position of colonel. Before the battle of the Alamo, Bowie led other battles. The battle of Austin being one of them. “He won the battle capturing guns and powder with the loss of only one man.” He led several skirmishes and worked with Colonel Lieutenant Travis. After compromising that they work as a joint operation since Bowies volunteers wanted Bowie as their leader they took Bexar, a town near the Alamo. James Bowie got what believe was tuberculosis so he participated little during the battle of the Alamo. He died there fighting in his bed till his last breath bringing plenty of Mexicans with him. Even sickness could not shake his spirit of freedom. That is why Bowie is a true example of an American hero.
The men fought very bravely and had some of the best fighters in America at their side, such as Davy Crockett, Jim Bowie, and William B. Travis were all patriots who came together to fight for Texas’s freedom. All of the soldiers who fought for the Alamo were volunteers, all wanting their freedom from the Santa Anna. The Texan soldiers defeated over 700 of the Santa Anna’s soldiers but still lost the battle of the Alamo.
Daniel is most famous for one major reason he spearheaded the exploration and settlement with four people his friend John and three others. which is now the beautiful state of Kentucky. Daniel is one of the most widely known marksman in missouri Boones fame comes from his exploration and settlement in kentucky. If I had the chance to talk to someone for thirty minutes, I would choose Wyatt Earp. Earp was a known as the biggest and best law enforcement officer during the late 1800’s early 1900’s. Everywhere that Wyatt went, people knew about him. Wyatt Earp helped protect many people during his life, and did not show fear to anyone. I admire Earp because of his bravery to protect the people he loved and fulfilled his duty to his fullest potential. Even though Wyatt’s family told him not to serve in law, he felt it was his duty and kept the people in Western America safe.

The Battle of Alamo was for independence of Texas from Mexico, on December 1835. However, during the Texas war for independence from Mexico a group of Texan volunteer soldiers occupied the Alamo that was a former Franciscan mission. This battle of Alamo was the most popular battle in Texas’s fight for independence. It was in San Antonio, 13 days’ of battle and this battle was famous because it was very shortly term, as it only last 90 minutes.
