David Rochester is a neophobic person due to his tendency of rejecting new things. His character is not good health wise because it can reduce his lifespan. On the other hand, he is too pessimistic on the idea of change (Bolman, & Gallos, 2011). As a Pessimistic employee he nurtures a constantly negative attitude in the workplace. These kinds of people naturally expect the worst of situations. Pessimists relate things in different ways for instance they see half empty glass rather than the positive side of half full. David Rochester negative attitude towards work can affect his productivity at large, which can later affect other co workers. As a leader he is a role model to the seniors and a source of inspiration (Maeroff, 1992). Confidence is essential because people are looking at him on how he behaves predominantly when things are going wrong. He is expected to remain composed and poise this will allow other members to be calm as well rather than panicking. These will help in increasing productivity as well as the morale of other employees. A good leader should be able to delegate. No matter how greatly David would like to do he cannot manage alone therefore he must learn how to share responsibilities with others. A good leader recognizes the importance of delegation rather than dealing with all the issues alone. Delegating to other colleagues shows the level of confidence you have in them this increases their morale in work. Moreover, David must be able to show commitment in his work he should be able to stick to his goals, objectives and commitment. These will prevent any form doubt and deceitful from the other workers. Secondly, he needs to be hard working and committed on his role as a leader as he continues to show good examples. By doing so he will not give the members any reason to doubt him thus he will inspire them to remain committed and instill good ethics at work
