Why do people do the things they do? Why do they do them that way? Everyone has reasoning for doing things they way they do them. There could be multiple reasons, like your parents, how you were raised, childhood, influential people, genetics, school attended, and many more reasons. Clive Staples Lewis(C.S. Lewis) is a brilliant, well known, and influential writer. C.S. Lewis writes the way he does because of his childhood, education, and religious beliefs, and his writing affects society today. Everyone’s life is shaped by their childhood. C.S. Lewis was born on November 29, 1898 in Belfast, Ireland. He was the son of A.J. Lewis and August Hamilton Lewis. His father was a lawyer and his mother a mathematician. When he was a young child his best friend was his older brother Warren. Clive and Warren were very creative together. Lewis was a Christian as a child, but went away from his faith and became an atheist. Lewis converted back to christianity in 1931 after a long discussion with his close friends Tolkien and Hugo Dyson. He started to write many Christian-based stories after this happened. One of his most famous series is “The Chronicles of Narnia,” and in this series there are many powerful stories that closely relate to stories that are told in the Bible. Lewis wrote many other stories that were stories related to the Bible, and he wrote about defenses for God and why he should be accepted. Lewis wrote many stories that challenged people to think about what they were reading; it required people to read slowly and pay attention to what they were reading. Lewis was a devout atheist before he became a Christian. Lewis changed many people's lives through his books and stories. If lewis had not became a Christian, his books most likely would have been completely different. His books might not have been
