Why after 50 years since the segregation of Central High School, do people of color still face challenges of racism? Long before the segregation of schools, people have faced many instances of discrimination because of the color of their skin. These same prejudice acts still continue today. This nation has yet created a workable plan for solving the gruesome acts of racism because of ineffective protesting, the influence societies have on individuals, and social media.
I have seen and known so many racists in my life. I am not friends with these people because being racist is horrible just like being sexist and homophobic. One of the biggest examples of racism is Nikky. Nikky used to ride though the bad side of town and see how many blacks and Mexicans she could make angry. I tried my best to distance myself from that type of person. I have also been in fights with racist black kids. I was called dirt by some black girl. She also hit me so I being in 3rd grade got very mad. I backed up really far .She smirked and must of thought “Haha I won”. Then I put my arms out and ran full speed and pushed into a wall.It turns out a broke her arm and thats why she never came around my house. While I geuss I over reacted to what happened.Keep in mind I was like 8 and didn’t know I could hurt her that bad.
I was born in a small town in the middle of nowhere in a country known for poor life conditions. That place was Jerecuaro Guanajuato, Mexico, and being born there really didn’t mean much. My mother was a nineteen year old girl, and my father was an absent twenty year old. Not that he wanted to be absent. He was working you see far from home, in the U.S. Why though, well that was so my mom and I could eat. Which meant I could have a slightly better life.
The waves crash down on the innumerable amount of young oysters along the vast coastline. Wave after wave crashes down, the clapping of each individual wave, the white foam as it moves inland. The power of the ocean thrusts shells, rocks, and sand from one spot to another. One grain of sand cunningly finds its way into the mouth of an oyster embedding itself in its soft warm flesh becoming a new found nuisance to the oyster. Over time the oyster coats this grain of sand in hope that the irritation will be removed. This is a false hope as the oyster continues to contain this annoyance within the walls its shell. Eventually tolerance is no longer an option and the oyster spits the grain of sand out; however, the grain of sand no longer takes
God is whispering over the earth, awake and rise children the time has come to stand up in my glory and proclaim the gospel.
My first homecoming I didn’t understand what mums were or why anyone would want one, so I didn’t get one. On the day of the pep rally I might as well have been standing there completely naked, everyone was staring at me like I was the odd one out for not having a sparkly noise making mum attached to me. I garnered looks of pity, disgust, and confusion.
“You are going to spoil that baby!” “That baby needs to leaern to self soothe.” Both of these are common sayings that new mothers often hear. They are both major reasons why some caregivers are choosing to instill and use the “cry it out” method. Letting a baby cry it out means letting a baby calm themselves and learn to make themselves stop crying. This method or parenting choice can cause long term and short term harm to a growing baby. The method goes against basic parentig instincts. A parent has to fight the urge to go get their child when they hear them cry. There is absolutely no way a person can spoil a baby.

The Cry Baby Bridge is one of the oldest legends in the world because it was back in the early teens. The Cry Baby Bridge is about a mother that thre her baby off the bridge when she was getting chased by three bad guys that didn't like women with babies. When she threw her baby off the bridge the baby was crying and she jumped off the bridge after the bad guys went to

Given the opportunity, I would form a Music Community Outreach program at the University of Cincinnati. With dwindling focus given to the arts in many schools across America, it is essential for music students to reach out to their communities to demonstrate the importance of the arts. This organization would provide many children with the chance to hear an aria or a chamber group for the first time in their lives. But more importantly, it would allow the children to perform in their own 'miniature' shows. The arts provide a safe and conducive space for students to find their own voice. Often times, schools can foster anxiety and stress; the performing arts act as a medium that can help combat this by bringing about a level of confidence
