Cronus has a very important family, his family was the original 12 Titans. The original 12 are: Oceanus, Hyperion, Coeus, Iapetus, Mnemosyne, Tethys, Theia, Phoebe, Rhea, Themis, and Cronus was the youngest of them all. As for why his name is Cronus, no one really knows. Some think maybe it comes from the root word “ker” meaning to cut. But that comes into play later in the story on why that has significance. As Cronus grew older he overthrew his father for the crown. We don’t know exactly how he did this, but we do know that he became king over his father. He married his sister ,Rhea, and they had six children together: Demeter, Hestia, Poseidon, Hera, Hades, and Zeus. Once Cronus had his children, he realized that they would probably try
The story of Cronos, king of the Titans, was that he had four children with his wife Rhea. These Children are Hestia, Demeter, Poseidon, and Hades, all of whom he swallowed because his parents had warned that he would be overthrown by his child. When Zeus was born, Rhea hid him in Crete and tricked Cronos into swallowing a stone instead. Zeus grew up with nymphs and a goat named Amalthae. When Zeus heard what had happened to his siblings he gave Cronos poison, which forced Cronos to throw-up his brothers and sisters. A war was then fought between the two groups, and the Olympians won, and ruled over the

In order to be sure that he kept power and the prophecy did not come true,”CRONUS HAD KIDS WITH HIS SISTER RHEA AND CRONUS FATHER PREDICTED THAT HIS CHILDREN WOULD RISE UP AND TAKE ALL OF HIS POWER SO CRONUS HAD TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT The goddess Metis helped him, convincing Cronus to drink a potion (usually said to be a combination of mustard and wine),

She had a few siblings which were Cronus, Hyperion, Lapetus, Theia, Themis, Mnemosyne, Phoebe, and Tethys. Rhea was a lot like her mother, she loved her children very much but her brother Cronus was a lot like his father, he feared that he would be overpowered by his children. Rhea became mad because Cornus forced her to give him the children when they were born to eat them. Once he had her first 5 children inside of him Rhea was tired of it. She gave birth to her last child in Zeus in secret because she began plotting something, instead of giving Cornus Zeus she gave him a rock wrapped in a blanket to eat instead. Cronus thought he was safe from the prophecy. Rhea hid Zeus in a cave in Crete so he could be raised by nymphs. Zeus was raised there, when he grew older he gave Rhea a potion that had a mixture of mustard, wine, and a herb that would make Cronus throw up his children. He did so the ten-year war started, Zeus and the Olympians defeated Cronus and the Titans. History repeated itself because they defeated Cronus and became the next rulers just like Cronus and his brothers did in the past when they overthrew their father. (Aaron J
Cronus was so powerful that he overthrew his father, this is where Hera got all of her mightiness from. He swallowed all of his children but Zeus when they were born with fear that he would be overthrown. You may be wondering, how did the children get out? “When Zeus grew up, he poisoned Cronus’s food, forcing him to vomit out all his children including Hera” (“Hera”). When Hera was vomited out of Cronus, she married her brother, Zeus.
Uranus and Gaea gave birth to Cronus and the titans. Cronus took power from his father, then married his sister, Rhea. Cronus and Rhea gave birth to the gods. Cronus swallowed all of his children, except for Zeus. When Zeus grew to be a man, he fought with his father. Cronus then vomited his children.
Zeus parents were God Cronus and Goddess Rhea. His father Cronus had a controlled the heavens from his father Ouranos by force and power. One day Mother Earth warns Cronus a prophecy that one of his children will kill him and overthrow him. In order to prevent his children to overthrow him. Cronus swallows all the children Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, and Poseidon.
Cronus and Rhea were the parents of six children, one of them including Hera. Since Cronus had an uneasy conscience about his children's future intentions, he decided to eat them one by one. When it came to the last child, Zeus, Rhea decided to save him. Zeus soon came back to dethrone his father and rescue his siblings. Hera, the Greek goddess of the gods and women, was saved and then became the wife of Zeus.
In the myth of Cronus, cronon's is afraid is afraid that ares will get more power than him he will get overthrown by someone.Cratos sons seek out to find more power. Then,Cronus was the ruler of the universe during the Golden Age. He was one of the 12 Titans and was the youngest son of Uranus and Gaea. The first sons of Uranus and Gaea were the three Hecatonchires, which were the 100-handed and 50-headed monsters.
The titans were made up of several people. The first titans were Gaea and her husband Uranus. There children were Mnemosyne, Themis, Iapetus, Coeus, Crius, Phoebe, Thea, Prometheus, Epimetheus, Atlas, and Metis. Their son, Cronos was one of the most important titans of all. One Myth my god/goddess is in is that Cronus had many children and ate all of them besides the youngest, Zeus.
Something that happened in the Cronus myth is Uranus put the Titans that he didn´t like in a pit . The text says: ¨When Gaea gave birth to other children, such as Cyclops, who looked monstrous, Uranus was not proud of them and put them in a pit under the earth.¨Another thing that happened is Cronus killed his father Uranus. The text says: ¨Cronus did overthrow his father, but he did not save his monstrous brothers.¨Another thing that happened is Cronus was afraid that Zeus would overthrow him. The text says: ¨His father had predicted that this would happen. In order to be sure that he kept power and the prophecy did not come true, Cronus attempted to escape fate by swallowing each child as soon as it was born.¨The Lightning Thief and The Cronus myth are related because there are a lot of prophecies.
Cronus was the leader of the Titans. Zeus was the father of Aphrodite and Dione. His weapon was the thunderbolt, which he hurls at those who displease him. You guessed it, that is yet another thing why people think Zeus is so
Cronus cut his father and threw him into the ocean. Out of Uranus's body came Aphrodite. After killing Uranus, Cronus became the next leader.
However, Uranus was afraid that Cronus might overpower him and one day obtain all his power. Knowing this Uranus purposely tried to kill Cronus in multiply occasions, but Gaea would always protect him. One day Gaea and Cronus made a plan to have Cronus challenge Uranus and take over his power. So it happened, Cronnus challenged his father and was victorious during their battle and Uranus was left to rot (Bernard 1) "Now Cronus had become king of gods by killing his father Uranus” (Bernard 3). In both Greek and Roman Mythology, the relationship between parents and children are distorted, strained, and bizarrely transformed, because of their greediness for power and obsessiveness to be better than the other.
