The Importance of the Criminal Justice System.
The criminal justice system is a virtuous system. Its purpose is to prevent crime and to create a peaceful society. We acknowledge our rights from wrongs, we punish those who do in the wrong and not tolerate the bad actions of others. On the other hand, the system could be a bad thing because things aren’t always equal or people have different perspectives. Such as race, laws, and people. Perspectives on the hand meaning that everyone sees things in their own point of view. The police officers that we hold trust in are not always the ones to trust. The laws that we abide by can be corrupt or not easy to want to follow, such as prosecuting the wrong people for crimes that they did not commit. Such as if crimes were to happen and there wasn’t any law enforcement, people would get away with it and no action would be taken place. There would not be any corrections, jury or anything for that matter. If there was, the jails would probably be corrupt and it would make men and women not want to go to jail. “In order to have order in society people must have confidence the laws will be enforced efficiently and fairly. Without enforcing contracts, people would stop paying their debts. Without enforcing tax law, nobody would pay taxes. Without enforcing driving laws people would drive any way they pleased. We count on criminal justice to be sure people follow our country's laws. By enforcing our laws, criminal justice makes sure we are protected and society functions in a dependable and fair way. Criminal justice also provides the since of justice that comes when bad deeds are punished.
