St. Louis is a city that is becoming known for its poverty and rising crime rate. With 90 municipalities and counting, these counties are being led by a corrupted government and a shady police force that is more concerned with the cash in their wallets. For determined people like Nicole Bolden and Antonio Morgan, it’s no surprise that they wish for an escape from such a destructive cycle. Even though it would be ideal, city and town members should not live in the towns they work for. Due to built up tension, specifically between the police force and the citizens, it would be dangerous to have them live there. In case there are riots over what the police have done, or over a decision a judge makes that goes against how the majority is feeling, to protect these workers they should instead live away from their area of work.

It is important to include social and personal contexts when studying ethics because the social context analyzes the environment that we live in and the people we interact with. Personal context is important because it shows/represents our own sense of justice. Having our own beliefs and values shows and describes who we really are. (Braswell, 1991)

The family has been determined indigent for services. Samkisha has received public defender services for her criminal matters and Mrs. Beale has received Medicaid since she was 16 years of age. Mrs. Beale disclosed she is court ordered to receive child support in the amount of $202 per month from Mr. Robinson for Samkisha, but stated he seldom make payments of such. She also reported she receives unemployment in the amount of $204 per week and Social Security Income (SSI) for Samkisha in the amount of $670 per month.

I feel that this case was somewhat representative of what was discussed in the textbook. The forensics aspects of this case were generally different from the impression of forensics I received from reading the textbook. Despite this fact, I feel that the investigative techniques of this case were similar to what was discussed in the textbook, as well as what has been discussed during lecture.

Our Criminal Justice Center will contribute with the 48th Precinct like the Community Council and Crime Prevention. The center will try to partner up with Twin Parks Community Center which is sponsored with Good Shepherd Services to help us provide services for children and adolescents. The Bronx District Attorney's Office can partner up with the center to ensure fairness in the criminal justice system such as sending interns or attorneys to offer their free time to help with legal issues. Bronx Community Board 6 which is represent neighborhoods including Belmont, Bathgate, West Farms, East Tremont, and Bronx Park South can especially help the Criminal Justice Center because their goal is to improve the quality of life to these neighborhoods

Zion first became involved in the justice system at age 14. His legal history includes two intake contacts. Zion has had an intake contact for a felony offense. None of the intake contacts was for felony offenses against another person. He has no history of escape. He has had three juvenile detention confinements. On May 18, 2017, Zion was released from detention to the custody of his guardian and was ordered on electronic monitoring.

In today's class, we watched a set of 4 videos. This class response contains aspects of what I enjoyed from each case study. In the first video, I enjoyed how the entire community worked together for conservation, and made several sacrifices which would have served individual interest, in order to pick outcomes that are beneficial for collective good. Here, the community works alongside experts, providing the best of both worlds. In the second case, from Maharashtra, I liked how the villagers decided to combat the drought by digging a well, maintained by themselves. They use their own people and children, to plant in the hills and develop the ecosystem. I also liked how there was a song about the drought, reinforcing my interest in folk music lyrics.

There has been a matter at my school that I would like to make you aware of. This matter has several components that may need further attention from our litigation department. Smart Sue has complained about possible drugs intended for distribution both in her classmate’s, Risky Ralph, locker and in his car. This is the culmination of issues between Smart Sue and an afterhours religious group that Risky Ralph leads. On January 25, 2016 at approximately 1556hrs Metropolitan Police Department School Resource Officers were in the 4200 B/O Minnesota Ave NE when they heard several gunshots in the area of Minnesota Ave and Grant Street NE. Officers located a Nigel Outler (C-1) at Minnesota Ave Metro Station suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. A second person Keyshawn Lawson(C-2) later walked back to the Minnesota Ave Metro Station suffering from a gunshot wound to the left wrist. The Sixth District Detectives Office responded to the scene to assist with the investigation.

The criminal justice system serves a couple of purposes, it allows investigating and punishing of anyone that is committing a crime also, it protects the citizens and tries to detour the public from criminal activity. What is a crime? It can be anything from illegal gambling to a very serious matter all together such as murder. Our elected representatives and congress make decisions about acts that can be punished by government. For all this to run smoothly there are a couple of objectives that the criminal justice system follows.

There are multiple issues the criminal justice system faces on a daily basis. One of the most recent issues the system faces is the outlook the public has on police officers.
