Throughout the countless centuries war has ravaged, destroyed, and devastated the many people and countries involved. The war began in October 1853 and ended in February 1856. The war was between the Russians, British, French, and Ottoman Turkish with the help ta T. N of the Sardinia-Piedmont army. The war was fought mainly on the Crimean Peninsula. The Crimean Peninsula is located in southern Ukraine, in Eastern Europe. The Crimean War was an important event of the history of Europe. Its indirect and direct consequences were far reaching and of great significance.

A separate action on the fort town of Kars in eastern Turkey led to a siege, and a Turkish attempt to reinforce the garrison was destroyed by a Russian fleet at Sinop.
Fearing an Ottoman collapse, France and the UK rushed forces to Gallipoli. They then moved north to Varna in June, arriving just in time for the Russians to abandon Silistra.
The Crimean war had many bad results and consequences. Britain was greatly affected by the war, "The reaction of the British to their victory was very negative. Britain decided to withdraw from European continental affairs and put most of its energy into its colonial empire and world trade. Britain would not enter into an alliance with another nation until its agreement with Japan in 1902. It would not have an alliance with another European nation until the Entente Cordiale with France in 1904" (THE CRIMEAN WAR.). This consequence is extremely important because Britain wouldn't ally with anyone. Britain was a strong nation and anyone with Britain would be feared. Also after the war within 15 years, Russia would return as a naval power on the Black Sea, but British and French interests will have changed: the two nations would no longer see the value of supporting and sustaining the Ottoman Empire. This is important because it would lead to a decline and lessening of power. Not many good things came from the war but one goof thing did: The International Red Cross. The Red Cross was and still is today extremely important. The Red Cross provides medical help globally which is extremely important.
The blood bath came to an end when the Treaty of Paris was signed on March 30th 1856.
As Russia was industrializing, they saw a need for more trade in their economy. Russia only had cold water ports and sought to take hold on the warm water port of Crimea. However Crimea was in the Ottoman Empire which was being taken control of by European powers, so when the
