Senior Detective Caleb Galsworth wasn’t alone when he arrived at the crime scene today; he was accompanied by a petite, young, dark man no one has seen before. Over their heads, thundercloud rolled in heavy, massive blankets, booming and crackling with charged energy. The air was wet and secret, pregnant with corruption and deaths. Together, the odd pair crossed the crime scene tape and walked up the driveway. The black one swept his gaze over the quiet bustling happening all around him, absorbed everything in with his wide, round eyes as if he had stepped into Wonderland. “Ah, Ross.” Detective Galsworth nodded at the guard blocking the main entrance. However, he calmly stepped up and extended his hand to the elder officer, flashing his badge. “Giles Duplessis, Newly Appointed Detective. I’m Detective Galsworth’s partner, nice to meet you, Sir.” Although he said the line with a well-rounded sincerity, the smile didn’t reach his intense, dark amber eyes. The new detective was a small guy for a cop, only stood up the Ross’ shoulders - mind that Officer Ross was still a bit shorter compared to the standard height. Duplessis was ordinary with no stand out features except for weird light-shade freckles sprinkled on his nose. The only thing that draws people attention to the young man was his voice, clear and loud and thick with definite notes. But that was about it - he was average, much like any new detectives. Officer Ross sized up the stick-figure standing in front of him, amusement flickered on his square face. “Well, isn’t this the one that had driven you insane for the past few days, Old G?” Ross documented the arrival of the two detectives and nodded his head for their entrance.
