The town hadn’t changed much since Bonnie had left and ever since she had returned, she felt more out of place then any. Mystic Falls used to be a home that Bonnie could always come back to, no matter how bad life got out there. Since returning, Bonnie hadn’t been able to really take to Caroline or Elena for the simple fact she didn’t know how to even address the subject. It wasn’t her friend’s fault that her Grams was now gone but they did play a key role in it. Coming back was a lot more painful then she had presumed and for safety reasons, she continued to lock herself away from her friends. Today wouldn’t be such a day, the weather was gorgeous and Bonnie did have some errands she needed to run now. Without Grams, Bonnie felt like a young
The driver, Cecilia Blair, of vehicle 1 was traveling north through the intersection of N. State St. and Flint St. when she had a collision with vehicle 2. The driver, Jacqueline Muir, of vehicle 2 was heading west on Flint St. when she was struck by vehicle 1.
Her life there didn’t seem so great at first. After locking herself up in her room for a month, she found a way to escape her life by doing something she enjoys. She started to go grocery shopping. She volunteered to go for her parents. As it says in the story, “She loved it in the way some people have to drive long country roads because doing it she could think and relax and wander.
At the beginning all she did was dwell on the past. She thought about all the friends she lost and family and more. Like when it said in the story “They Moved to Cincinnati, where for a month she spent the greater part of every day in a room full of beveled glass windows, sifting through photographs of the life she’d lived and left behind.’’ it just showed how stuck in the past she was. She literally spent a month in her room looking at pictures. Like nothing gets better if you just don't try and hide from your problems. So nothing did get better until one day at the supermarket.
The well known Grand Canyon wasn’t always grand. About 6 millions years ago there live a princess called Artemis, she loved a lot of things like hunting, wilderness, and animals. Her kingdom was located in the territory now called, Arizona. She always had her trusty bow and arrow everywhere she went. She hunted so much that she would bring extra animals to feed the poor. But her father didn’t like that, he was selfish and forbade her to feed the poor anymore. He wanted her daughter to be normal, like wear dresses, have proper manners, and be quiet like every princess should be. She didn’t like that, her passion was to hunt, and possibly become a warrior with her true love. The fault with that dream she had no true love.
After a long mountainous drive, I arrived at my destination to embrace one of nature’s wonders in the Great Smokey Mountain National Park, Abram Falls Trail. Upon departing the car, a cool crisp breeze brushed my face and the aroma of bacon lingered in the early morning air from the neighboring campground. The narrow rocky footpath looked like a tedious adventure, however a gorgeous, vibrant array of red, purple, orange, and yellow wildflowers blossoming at the entrance made the trail alluring. Navigating the rocky, uneven terrain required sturdy footing, but the quiet stillness created a peaceful relaxing atmosphere. The lush pine-oak forest formed a green canopy of shelter above the trail, offering welcome cool shade, as vivid sunlight filtered through the foliage. A sweet honey fragrance permeated the air, as a stunning scene displayed a cluster of purple and pure white
“MOM WHERE ARE WE GOING!!!” I said, feeling like I could burst at any moment it's a horrible thing to be car sick when you don't know what to do about it. “Don't worry dolly we will be there any second now” said Sharon, but I just know her as mom. “I think i'm dying!” I said, sinking into the back car seat. Mom didn't say anything as with my brother they just smiled. I wondered if they could see something I couldn't so I forced my body to sit up and unbuckle my seatbelt as my eyes lit up as if I saw an angel. It felt like everything was in slow motion. For months now I've been dying to go to Six Flags for one day and today was that day! “Do you feel better deer or should we go back home” mom said with an evil smile glancing at me through
The day was sunny and clear. We walked through the cool Chicago wind, bracing ourselves against it. Throughout the day we explored the city, visiting the Sears Tower, Navy Pier, and the Field Museum. I even got you to step out onto the Skydeck, despite your fear of heights. I dozed off on your shoulder on the train ride back home, dreaming about how great you had made my sixteenth birthday.
The storm erupted minutes after Casey returned to the main highway. Lightning streaked in double succession sideways and downwards in a fantastic show of Mother Nature’s wrath.
“Chloe move it, you take up the space for both of our lockers.” Annie said pushing Chloe out of the way.
“There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered.” Born and raised in a box where everyone knows everyone means that there’s always “go to” places. As we grow out of cleats and place dolls in the attic, the giant wooden obstacles that you know every nook and cranny too are now just tired playgrounds filled with new children left to discover those hidden spots. The man made lakes that left the smell of sweet summer and chlorine lingering in your hair and skin are now rain puddles. Places from childhood form who we are and create everlasting friendships but over time, as the leaves change in the seasons so can we.
I can feel the warm breeze push against my face as I am travelling up the mountain. I can feel the sweat dripping down my face. A mountain lion roars in the distance. Trees become scarce as I continue up to the summit. I can smell the sweatiness of myself and the other backpackers as we scramble up the boulders. The dry air is tickling my taste buds, as oxygen becomes more difficult to obtain.
In the cool beautiful forest of Montana, I was a beautiful thirty foot maple tree with glistening green leaves. I couldn’t of asked for a better life than where I was at. One day that all changed, I heard the deafening sounds of chainsaws and bulldozers. A sharp pain hit me at my base and I screeched in pain but no one seemed to hear my cries. I was ready for my end and just hoped i’d be put to use, but when I was cut into four by fours, I was never used. I just sat there until I was thrown into a swamp to rot. After, a very long time of being there. A man came to me wearing a bright orange forestry vest. He loaded me into the back of his truck and took me to a mill.
As she starts on her journey to the hospital, she takes in the scenery as this is her favorite part of the day. The sun is just beginning to peak over the horizon, and the city is quiet. She takes in the buildings of Memphis, and begins looking at the bridge that will take her into Arkansas. Once she has crossed the bridge, she begins admiring the more rural parts of Arkansas considering there aren't many of those in Memphis, where she's from. She passes an abundance of crops and empty fields as a crop duster comes flying overhead. This was the most fascinating thing she had seen in a long time and was in awe of the amazing piece of machinery. The plane was painted with the kind of yellow that you think of when you think of a happy, sunny day.
“ keep going, you can do this” my mom says as I take another step up the rigid cold mountain . I take step after step after step after step, until i get to dead inside from this boredom of climbing this stupid mountain.
The life of a woman in ancient Greece isn’t desirable, but the jobs that all women had were important ones. Without the women, Greece would be a mess. They had to clean, sew clothes, and cook. None of them were treated with any respect; they were confined to their houses and had to serve their husband and children. Women were not allowed to have a political role or any legal position.
