“The Best Place on Earth”
This title is trying to get Truman to believe that Seahaven is the best place on Earth so that he doesn’t feel the urge to travel.
“Who Needs Europe!”
This title is making Europe look bad to try and make Truman not want to go there, so that he stays in Seahaven.
“Crackdown on Homeless”
This title is covering up for what happened to Truman the day before. Truman saw his dad, which looked like a stereotypical homeless man, and when he noticed that that was his father, people drug his dad away and took him off. The newspaper is saying that they are getting rid of the homeless people in Seahaven to make it seem like that wasn’t his dad and to justify the chaos that occurred.
Everyone is very wrapped up in the media. The media can distract a person from being their true self by making that person think that they should be a certain way. Media has a huge influence on our lives, and can change the way we view things, for the better and the worse. …show more content…

It is an island, hence the “Sea” part of the name. It is also designed to be a safe place for Truman. A haven is a safe place. So, Seahaven is a safe place in the sea.
Truman is the main character in the show. Christof says, “While the world he inhabits is, in some respects, counterfeit, there’s nothing fake about Truman himself.” Truman can be broken up into two parts, “Tru” and “man”. The name Truman is showing that Truman is a true man.
Burbank, Truman’s last name, is also a place in California. The dome where “The Truman Show” takes place is also in California. So, the fact that Truman’s last name is Burbank, might be because he was born in Burbank,
