Throughout my time spent on this project, the method that I used to obtain the information I received was through covert observation. Although at the beginning, I did not know that what I was doing at the time, I could not have used another method to obtain the findings than covert observations. I know this because, when I went to observe one time for at least a hour, I tried to get involved in had what happened to one of employees named Larissa who took a drive-thru and was treated very rudely by the customer, who refused to accept that there was not a student discount. At the end, she handed out what the customer had ordered and threw their straw wrapper at her and drove off. When I observed this, I was hesitant to speak up and try to
I'm harassed daily at Pitt University, Greensburg under the Hands of William Bill Franicola. These employees know they can get away with their action of laughing in our faces, slurs, hand gestures and comments Mr. Franicola is present letting this behavior continue. Nothing is confiding at Pitt after Joe told me he was keeping an eye on Bob Godzik, outside the pole building Donna Myers, Vicki Hoak is pointing there two fingers at Bob saying they are keeping their eyes on you then moving their fingers towards their eyes. They did the same Hand gestures to Dan Kelly when Bob Godzik was present in the office. When Joe changed my work area to Cassel Hall due to harassment from Bob and Julie Godzik after the change there was several anti-Bullying
Technology has given us the power to change society and the way society works. In chapter 3 of William G. Staples writing “Everyday Surveillance”, technology has not only given society the power to peer into the lives of others, but has also granted society new opportunities. With it begs the question, where have we as a society gone in the field of monitoring and surveillance? With the advent of monitoring and surveillance technology came with it new opportunities and alternate options that individuals, in this case “convicts”, could not have previously taken It is thanks to technology that house arrest is now an option for non-violent convicts, where in the past a prison sentence was the only option. .
In this paper, I discuss my experience with observing a group counseling session with the purpose of evaluating it in terms of how it is set up, how it is run, interventions used, culturally sensitivity, and the contribution toward my professional development as a social worker. The group setting plays a critical role in social work outside of the individual session and can be largely beneficial for clients in the forms of therapy, counseling, self-help, and support. By attempting to better understand group interventions, I will learn how to apply this strategy in aiding clients for whom this method is appropriate by increasing their social supports.
As I entered Target’s children’s department it was obvious what clothes and toys were intended for girls and boys. The girls’ clothing section, was full of vibrant colors like bright pinks, white frilly dresses, and sparkly clothing. On the hand, the boys clothing section was more neutral colors such as brown, tan, and navy blue. So as far as I could see Target is organizing the boys and girl’s department base on gender. But there was a section in the boy’s clothing area that could be gender neutral. Please see photo.
Troopers in the district were working eight hour shifts and requested for district to change to ten hour shifts. During the meeting with several troopers it was discovered that some troopers were interested in working eight days on and six off, while others preffered the fifty - thirty split shifts.
On Tuesday, the 9th of May, 2017 at approximately midnight I was patrolling East on Hastings Road, approaching Martin Bluff Road when I noticed a vehicle with a headlight out traveling West on Hastings on the opposite side of Martin Bluff.

Unfortunately, I missed one of the field placement days. However, I am thankful that the end of the semester for some of my classes meant that I would have the opportunity to make that day up. I decided Wednesday the 20th would be the best day and am glad that I was able to contact a teacher from an area school and get to observe.
In one of the talks with Mathis, we discussed the eventual conflicts/idea of having a perpetrator exhibit so close to a survivor/victim exhibit. It was discussed that some people, especially the survivor’s family, have a problem with the potentiality that the perpetrator exhibit would highlight their lives and take away from the victims/survivors of Ravensbrücke. They believe in a sense it would diminish the effect of having the concentration camp as a memorial site. There was a lot of complex emotions and ideas floating around about the perpetrator exhibit being next to the victim/survivor’s exhibits. It was discussed through our group how it actually added to the experience of Ravensbrücke.
CMS has differential payment for inpatient and observation status patient services (Engoren. et., 2016). Observation status is covered under Medicare Part B, which is an optional coverage for beneficiaries and they are usually responsible for the co-payments, which is 20 percent of the Medicare payment for out payment services for such items as labs, x-rays and any medications they usually take at home. The beneficiary will also have to pay their yearly deductible for their Part B. The patient will receive a bill for non-covered services, including any required co-pay or deductibles. While patients are in observation, they could be charged co-payments for individual services they receive. Patients who do not have part B Medicare may incur
In today’s society, the subject of government surveillance is one of the nation’s most controversial topic. Since Snowden’s leakage of confidential National Security Agency (NSA) information, the United States citizens have confirmation the government is “spying” on them through phone, internet, and public communications. Government officials have spoken to the people, saying it is for safety measures; to protect citizens from potential terrorism and catastrophes like the bombing attack of 9/11. However, I have come to believe that the surveillance at the magnitude the NSA is going to is not safe nor ethic.
One of covert investigation is by the method of undercover during an investigation. This method involves a case where the investigator tries to investigate the truth by blending into the environment where the investigation is going to take place. Covert investigations involve asking of questions about the subject matter without raising eyebrows or leaving any trace about the investigation. The investigator might choose to blend into the environment by taking jobs like hairdresser, waiter or salesperson in order to find out information about the subject. The investigative angle is also maintained by the investigator by asking questions that are issues surrounding the case study.
Confidentiality is when you allow a child’s assessment and other records to only be available to school personnel, agency officials, and parents. This means that a teacher can only share these results with certain people and if they share them with other parents then they are breaking confidentiality. Not only are the teachers not to share assessment results but it also includes: medical, demographic, family history, academic history, and attendance records. The records with this information on it should be in a locked file so that not anyone can look into these files. At Caldwell, we have a special education office where we put this information into a filing cabinet that is locked. There are several different people who go in and out of this
On Thursday June 25th 2015 at approximately 1531 hours I was in full uniform and in a marked patrol vehicle. I was stationary at the intersection of State Route 54 and State Route 4031, Lost Creek #2, West Mahanoy Township. At approximately 1531 hours, I observed a green in color two door Pontiac Grand Am travelling Westbound on SR 54. The vehicle proceeded toward the intersection with SR 4031 and turned right Northbound on SR 4031. While the vehicle was turning I observed the operator Michael V. BRENNAN who was identified through a Pennsylvania identification photo. A Pennsylvania certified driver's history indicated that BRENNAN's driving license status was suspended/ revoked.
