Courage by definition is the ability to withstand failure or face your fears. To me, courage is a way of life. It helps conserve my principles in life and to follow them with all my heart. Courage gives me the purpose to stay on track with my goals laying far away, without deterring from my path. It is the strength I get from within to do my best at anything I am doing, whether it be a chore or any daily life struggle. However, to focus on one major example of courage, I would like to think of the time my pet cat passed away. I had grown up with Garfield till the day he passed away, I was only 9 years old. I told myself that I had to hold it in and not allow myself to be weak, to not allow sorrow overcome me. As I have aged since then, I look back and think that was probably the most courageous thing I have done thus far.
