Johnny Cash said it best, “Of emotions, of love, of breakup, of love and hate and death and dying, mama, apple pie, and the whole thing. It covers a lot of territory, country music does.” Country music is everywhere, blasting from a lifted truck, a store, or a local bar, ranging from Classical country to Pop country. Country music is not just words written down on a piece of paper, they are more than that. The artists can write songs that most people can relate to. Alan Jackson and Luke Bryan are both very known country singers, but are different when it comes down to managing their careers.
Jackson was born in Georgia in 1958 and had his first job at age twelve at a shoe store. He married his high school sweetheart and has three daughters. Jackson started his career in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1979. He has sold fifteen different albums, eighty million records, and sets the record for having the most nominations in a single year. Alan also won many awards throughout his career, like single song of the year for CMA in 1994. “As long as I’m still able to have a hit on the radio and sell a few albums and some tickets, I don’t see that it would be worth retiring,” said Alan. Bryn had his first job at fifteen at his local K-mart. He also married his high school sweetheart and now has two sons. Similar to Jackson, Bryan started his career in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2007 writing songs for other artists. He has now sold four albums and 450,000 records. In 2012, Bryan won top new artist, entertainer of the year, and male artist of the year. Not only does Bryan entertain people, but he also influences their lives with his music. “From my dad I learned to be good to people, to always be honest and straightforward.
