“If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed.” This was a quote by Adolf Hitler one of the most powerful dictators in all of history. He aided in the horrible genocide of over six million Jewish people. Someone like Hitler could happen again because it is happening in some areas of the world already, there are people who have a hatred of others, and because many people are not willing to stand up and only care about themselves. First, Hitler could happen again because genocides are happening in other areas right now. In the scholastic magazine there is an article titled “Could Hitler Happen Again?” by Bryan Brown on that page it talks about other men who are doing terrible things in their countries. One
How did Hitler stay in power? Hitler took advantage of the economic and political weakness as a gateway into power, and once he took control he found many ways to easily remain in command. Hitler used many ways and strategies to remain in power during World War II. He used political strategies and others such as propaganda, youth groups, and laws that appealed to some of the citizens of Germany, as many of these groups and laws affected Jewish citizens negatively. How did the economic and political conditions of post-World War I Europe lead to the rise of Hitler?
No matter when and where you live, there will always be a possibility that genocide could be committed. There could be a world in which every piece of technology is state of the art, society is progressing, and individual people are inspired to prosper. Yet, a populace of people could still be genocided under no repercussions from any civilians and government members. An eon such as this occurred about 78 years ago, in the year of 1944. An appalling tragedy known as the Holocaust was in full swing with the fascist dictator, Adolf Hitler in charge of the Nazi regime. People were suffering, becoming people they didn’t even know they could be. One example of this is in the book Night by Elie Wiesel. The main character, Elie, transforms into a different person through his suffering that he encountered in the extermination camps. Before the war, Elie was ardent, faithful, and motivated. He then transformed into hating god, losing all of his motivation, and having outright disgust in people.
Unfortunately, although Elie Wiesel and much of the world hoped nothing like the Holocaust would ever happen again, there have been other cases of genocide later after the Holocaust. For example, in the year 1991, the “The Bosnian War and Srebrenica Genocide” took place (“The Bosnian War”). In 1991, “Yugoslavia began to break up along ethnic lines,” causing a surge of ethnic groups trying to seize the power in government (“The Bosnian War”). When the republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina declared their independence in 1992 the region quickly became the center of the fighting. In the article “The Bosnian War and Srebrenica Genocide” the “Serbs” were a group who rapidly rose to power by taking up “90 percent” of the military, and by also oppressing any other ethnic group that to them “posed a threat to their rights” In addition the article “The Bosnian War and Srebrenica Genocide” it states that the height of the killing took place in July 1995. When 8,000 Bosniaks were killed in what became known as the Srebrenica genocide, the largest massacre in Europe.” Despite, all the mass killings, most of the world
Hitler, one of the most notorious men of all europe leader of the political party the “Nazi’s” was the leader of killing approximately
There have been countless atrocities committed throughout history. Most of these atrocities are justified and developed from ideas and false realities. The most infamous atrocity of all history, the holocaust is no exception. Adolf Hitler, the leader of Germany from 1933 until his suicide at the end of WWII, was directly responsible for the deaths of over 12 million people. Alan Bullock in his book Hitler a Study in Tyranny dispels any notion that any of Hitler’s ideas were original. Bullock proposes that Hitler and his rise to power was a product of other political ideas and a knack for exploiting the timing of events to extend his influence. According to Bullock Hitler’s coming to power was the product the political ideals of the late 19th and early 20th centuries which he was exposed to, the world post-WWI, and a knack for exposition events to his favor. He used his gifts of using propaganda and his organizational skills to use politics as a means to achieving power.
In 1930 there was a horrible crisis. The germans invaded the jews and killed millions of jews, Americans, gypsies, gays, blacks, ect. The germans created a concentration camp and started sending jews to them and made them work for them untill death of later on when they were freed. Those camps help any jew no matter what age/condition they were in, even if they were the richest the Nazis were still gonna kill them.
A discussion we had in class was how the whole ‘Never Again’ thing just hasn’t been done because we constantly let things happen again. Although we may study how things can lead to extremes like government takeovers and genocides, we oftentimes don’t act on stopping/ preventing it when we see it happening. A good example is what happened with the Rwandan genocide. Although we knew what was going on from the Americans living there, we chose to evacuate all of our people and then do nothing to help end the rest of the genocide. Disguising it by saying we could only say acts of genocide were happening and we couldn't truly call it genocide.
Besides Adolph Hitler,
“How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don’t think” (Hitler, Mein Kampf). As time passed, there has been many times in history where a genocide has occurred. A genocide is a one-sided massacre from one party toward an ethnic or different group of people. As genocides occurred, questions such as “Why do people kill?” and “How can people allow these atrocities to occur?” are asked. There have been many theories made up as people researched the reason behind genocides. Throughout different centuries in history, genocides such as the Holocaust, the Rwandan genocide, and the Asian genocide, have occurred because of the negative psychological effects on the people caused by propaganda, corrupted leaders, and differences in ethnic groups.
One of the most notorious genocides in the history of the world is the Holocaust. Roughly 11 million innocent lives lost at Auschwitz. Evil like this happens in the world every day from bullying to mass murders. This is the result of not speaking out and trying to stop these things from happening. Remaining silent encourages even more evil to happen.
Man loves to kill. In response to the question asked, man will continue to commit such atrocities as a genocide. Man will never learn from past mistakes or all of a sudden stop mass killings or genocides. Humans have always killed and they will continue to do it. Humans will not all of a sudden be pacifists and stop killing. This has happened with the Rwandan genocide and with the Holocaust in Night by Elie Wiesel. Man will not stop committing such atrocities and have a brighter future and these are only a few reasons why.
Hitler? Happen Again? “I remember the looks of horror on the faces of the American soldiers when they came in and stared around them. I was scared when I saw them.
Firstly, a reason someone like Hitler could happen again seems obvious; already existing and growing hate groups.
For the past seventy years, Adolf Hitler has been known as one of the most evil men in history. The Fueherer, as he was known, exhumed hatred and violence in his pursuit of power. A vile man, driven by violence and a lust for power, eventually drove himself mad with his own idealistic vision of what a perfect world would be, and how he would achieve
People will torture and do horrible things to others who do not follow their rules. For example, Kim Jong Un, the supreme leader of North Korea, puts his people into labor camps for not following his rules. In these labor camps people are tortured, starved, and are even attacked by dogs. Very easily, Kim Jong Un could become a Hitler by wanting more power than he already has. There are many other examples around the world of evil like Hitler
